I bet a standard D move would also be a good choice against someone who's reversal happy since you could throw it out and still be able to block and punish their reversal unless they RC it.

Yeah, his specials that use Ignis do lock him in an animation like you said, while his D normals don't. I think it makes sense to give Relius animations on his specials that use Ignis anyway since some of them summon Ignis if she's not already out. Also I'd be more than happy to be mod if you guys don't mind.

I just noticed something in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y-nFM9zWoc&t=1m13s It looks like you can input an attack for Ignis while Relius is attacking after all, as it looks like 5D comes out in between 5C and 2C without Relius having to do any sort of animation.

It must be a very short animation, since it allows him to keep pressure. He doesn't seem to have any negative edging anyway, so that would make what you said true for sure if that's the case, at least with what we know now.

I was thinking that this would primarily focus on match videos, but I can use one of the reserved posts for tutorials, guides, and combo videos when we come across them. I will just put a heading or edit the link to say what the vid is for anything that isn't a match video.

You should be able to RC on Ignis' moves as long as the attack hits or is at least blocked. Also I think he only has a forced pose animation when using a special move with Ignis, since you can still move Relius during D attacks, though I bet he will have a posing animation if you remain neutral during a D attack much like Carl does.

Just don't be reckless with it since it looks like you can get punished hard for whiffing it. Though from what we can see it should be used sparingly, it will definitely be useful, especially against zoners.

This is so true. This way, we can have threads established before he actually comes out so things will be organized in time for everyone to come looking for info without making a bunch of threads that essentially would have the same purpose.

I can see this. He would be able to get a nice combo off of it if he has meter to RC, or maybe he will even be able to get a smaller meterless combo with Ignis (at least on CH).

We will still be doing ranbats with them like we have been, but the only reason we aren't doing this one is because of its proximity to MM and that the exhibition points have been all taken care of for BB. We'll hopefully have something worked out for next season. This brings up another question: Would you guys rather have ranbats immediately with the SF guys after MM or would it be best to wait for CSE and Current Code? Of course if SF waits for AE 2012 then this kinda answers itself.
