The second vid has all that was recorded gameplay-wise.

Yeah, I really hope Relius isn't a Carl clone. I'm guessing that he's going to play more like Yuda from HnK or Maori from AH, where he has command inputs to call in his "assist" character, which in his case would be Ignis (and possibly Phantom as well). Also Skye, I watched the entire "pre-MM drive" vid.

I just watched the first 37 minutes of the pre-MM drive vid, and I approve of the Arizona joke, Skye. I would say that we should record the car ride for my car, but this is pretty much all that happens: -Pick up Sydog first. -Pick up Proto. Proto talks about random stuff. -Get to Jay's house. Proto still is talking about random stuff. -Take the highway for a little bit until we get to Jago's. Proto is still talking. -Get back on the highway for the long stretch on the way to Ann Arbor. Everyone is silent. -I look in the rearview mirror for a split-second to find out that everyone is asleep. -Everyone remains asleep for the entire time on the highway, and they only wake up once we're in the city (which is the end of the drive).

That's the reason I used him in CT. Relius' character design and the way he acts in the story make me want to main him for sure. When he showed up in Noel's story and made her freak out and paralyzed in fear, I knew he would be the character I would have to use. I say we need to think of something more creative and original than "support the scene." Maybe something unique to our scene.

MI scene shirts sounds cool, especially for when we head out of town to tournies (speaking of which, I need to know which guys that normally ride in my car plan on going to MWC). Would they be the same or would they be individualized? As for the pre-reg, I'll talk to AaronS about it. It could at least be used to make things more orderly even if the money is collected upon arrival.

Lumin normally gets them, but he couldn't this time because he always gets BO for special occasions, which adds a ton of time to his trip too. It should be an easier drive for you, and if you'd have to get anyone, it'd be Troy. Also, Aaron wants all of the dates for ranbats/next MM planned out ahead of time, so it should make planning days off much easier.
-
Just an update for next season of ranbats: -It will start in about 5 weeks. -It will be at GYGO (once they relocate). The really good news here is that THERE WILL BE A FREE PARKING STRUCTURE A BLOCK AWAY ONCE THEY MOVE. -Everything will be on 360 during the season. -We will need to bring our own 360s/PS2s/games, but this shouldn't be a problem.

When you say save meter for CA, do you mean not to end combos with super or don't use reversal Sturm? Also I'll start trying IB>6A more often as long as I know they won't go low.
-
It's not as consistent as many other defensive options due to its limited range (for most characters), but other than that, it works in many cases at close range. I guess I should have rephrased my question to ask about things outside of 2A range, since that's usually when I run into trouble on defense. I guess that and jump barrier out are my only defensive options without meter. I might just be too hasty with my 2A use.

Yeah, 2C is really a nice tool for dealing with jump-ins, but I should probably use my CA more, especially since you can pick up into a combo after it.

Hey guys, I've been using Valk for a while and thought I should start posting here more often. I have a general gameplay question: While I feel very comfortable with my offense, I've been struggling with my meterless defense. I might be doing the wrong thing, but I generally find myself blocking a lot since whenever I try to poke out, I usually get hit. At the tourney I was at over the weekend (I took 7th out of 20 people), this was the one thing that I noticed I needed to work on most. I'd post a video if I had one, but they aren't up yet and most of my matches weren't recorded anyway. Thanks in advance, guys!

Thanks again for everyone who made it out for this. We actually finished AHEAD of schedule (we planned in the weeks before to be finished at 9, but we finished closer to 8:30). Here is a list of the total winnings: 1) Rei-Scarred ($242) 2) Bananaken ($70) 3) Greats ($58.50) 4) Axis ($40) 5) Jago ($30) 6) Unsanctifier ($24.50) 7) Jetm ($20) 8) Leonil ($18.10) 9) Mr. Two ($17) 10) Kenta ($11) 11) ShardZ ($5) Congrats again to all of the winners and I hope to see all of you guys next time!

I can't quite figure it out, but it feels like I should have done something else at MM. I mean the tourneys ran very smooth and we actually finished AHEAD of schedule (we were aiming to be done at 9 while planning it in the days before but we finished closer to 8:30). Maybe it's because I didn't talk to everyone enough because I spent too much time near my computer working on the brackets. I mean there were about half of you guys at the end that I was at (including all of the GG players), but the rest of you guys turtled near the door and I never really went over there (except during the exhibition). Out of all of the out of towners that I hadn't already met, I only talked to Mr. Two a lot, and I barely got to talk to Jetm or Rei (until the exhibition). Maybe I'm just over-exaggerating things, but I'm going to make more of an effort to move around and talk to more of you guys next time. Since we all know I like making lists, I decided to list how much money everyone made: 1) Rei-Scarred ($242) 2) Bananaken ($70) 3) Greats ($58.50) 4) Axis ($40) 5) Jago ($30) 6) Unsanctifier ($24.50) 7) Jetm ($20) 8) Leonil ($18.10) 9) Mr. Two ($17) 10) Kenta ($11) 11) ShardZ ($5) Congrats again to all of the winners. Luna: I should make Friday casuals and I'll bring Proto with me (and maybe more).
