It's cool just trying to get everything on the same page for convenience.

BE5C? As in Blowback Edge? This ain't melty lol We really need a standardized notation, it looks like most people are using [X] for charged normals.
-
May as well add me on skype (HeartfulPunch). Also, I'm cleaning up the Mizuumi wiki page, no offense to whoever edited them before but these move descrptions are sorta sad.
-
No if it's 66 5C it'll be written out 66 5C. I could say the same thing for my notation, if you don't undersatnd 66C you should learn it. See how that argument doesn't really work too well? We're talking about a normal move which requires inputting 66 and then hitting the C button. There's really not much to confuse unless we're splitting hairs for no reason. It's actually the most direct way to refer to the move. <edit>DC also looks like it's some universal move like Force Function or Smart Stir. It makes no logical sense to notate a normal in an arbitrary way when the rest of the normals are notated with whatever direction or motion is used to activate said move. 5C is 5C, even with specials like Reload is 22C no one confuses that either. When we start to mix in weird notation that doesn't match the rest of the format we start to get shit like reading a JP wiki where they use nicknames for moves and it becomes a massive pain in the ass to read.

Yeah, if we could please use a standardized notation for dash normals it'd make everything easier. I opt for 66X because there's no mistaking it if you know "anime fg notation". Gonna grind out more combos tomorrow zzz

Hmm, so it's character specific? I guess I just need to space it against them. Linne was my training dummy, but not because she was default I hit random and that's who I got lol
-
So I'm learning Eltnum, and I had a few questions. for 5A 2C 5[C] 412B 6 I've found that I will end up on the other side of the dummy if I start with 5A point blank. if I space myself out a bit I can land the 6 without any real errors. Is there a timing issue I'm having, or is this a legitimate spacing issue? Secondly after this (same combo) there is a j.[C] followed by 66C, I can get the j.[C] to land fairly consistantly but for the life of me cannot land the 66C. Am I looking for a specific time for the falling j.[C]? it appears I either hit it at one specific point or I don't...

Network mode translation added, bumping for visibility.

tigre strikes again, defacing the wiki. (all of the vanilla pages are accessible via adding /old onto the page.) I didn't think it was too crazy to have the forward facing pages to be the AH3LM pages, means it's the current version. Calling it a slap in the face with doing no research is more of a slap in the face imo. And to cover my ass I did ask someone to add this info to the base page of the wiki, I have no power to edit it. I'll ask again sometime today.

Even without shielding you still gain GRD just by blocking, like a lot of GRD. So... block?

Good showing guys, happy to see how well you all were doing in ah3 (didn't see any uniel matches), I know I gave most of you advice, like always if you want me to go back over what I said, or want me to go more in depth I'm more than happy to help. Time to jump ships in UNIEL and learn my new character zzz

Okay i'm back after the weekend, I need to read up on this thread to see what cool crap everyones found. I'm still unsure when I should be using meter, and the practical range for 3C as an anti-air is very odd compared to what I was thinking. When are you guys spending meters on specials? I'm sure the bnb i'm doing is non-optimal (I'm sure all of the combos we're doing are, but I'm working with day two tech still, means I was largely gone for a few days :v), but the damage I'm getting from the supers at the end of those combos is sad if I use meter.
-
Okay so I did some quick math and timing, if you have a ps3 stick/controller with turbo mode you can get enough points to unlock every color in something just shy of 7 hours, assuming you use Hyde in CPU VS, set it to one round, fastest time, map C to your confirm button and put something heavy on that button. I'm sure there's a faster way but just do it and go to sleep for 7 hours zzz

http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8895-uniel-under-night-in-birth-qa-thread/page-5?p=824782#entry824782 we went over this two pages back. Stop it.

Yeah, I just saw those on twitter. Adding to the op.
-
I need to ask and look into it some more, but there's a chance the frame data is obtainable from the game itself (in a way that's usable to us)...
-
Maybe check what AJ is doing? That might work. I'm leaving for NYC from Delaware with nadakai so no space
-
Yeah, I plan on going back and linking to whatever post the community members are maintaing videos and combos in at some point this weekend as things flesh out. Probably Sunday because I will be in NYC tomorrow and Saturday for TSB.
-
Don't forget to note that it's 6C after 236B. the follow ups are 6X not 5X
-
Updated the OP with the right options/translations (Thanks to Raxvar!) If you guys have translations for the netplay stuff, please PM it to me so I can add them!
-
Yea,I figured we'd just play for a couple hours and split. If we're traveling somewhere else to play though I'm completely down, I wanna get games in today.
-
Is there anything beyond Oki that we can do off of throws?
-
Guys c'mon. This is for Q&A. If you just have a comment about the game or want to talk about netplay take it to the threads we have for those
-
Yea, I'm down with traveling if needed.
