  1. So looks like there was a bit of a mixup in communication for the wiki, Bell needs your username, a password (can be throwaway, you can change it to something more secure once you make the acct) and email to create the account. The front page of the wiki now reflects that, sorry guys
  2. So my car battery died leaving work tonight, so I'm out a lot of money I really wasn't planning on being out So i'm out for this weekend sorry
  3. "Cleaned up" the Akira wiki page. Do not revert these changes. For everyone editing the wiki- If I can remove a statement and still get the move description still holds true for this game, then the statement wasn't needed. I ran into a similar situation with the Eltnum wiki page for UNIEL. I have never played Akira in DOA or VF. Any reference to these moves in the DFC wiki does not help me learn the character in DFC. Please keep information on a character relevant to the current game/series. (Of course, if there's a DFC2 refering to changes from DFC1 makes). I appreciate all the help on the wiki, but let's keep it all on topic. Concerning the jp wiki, I just pinged Komidol on twitter to see if he could lend us some help with translating that information for us.
  4. The best solution would be to slow down the input a bit, AH3 has a fairly large buffer so returning to neutral for even a few frames may clean up the issue entirely. Alternatively you can possibly try inputting the second rekka as 41236C and see if that works better for you!
  5. The connection rating in this game is flat out useless. Game says I get 2 or 3 bar to Japan. I also get a 3 bar to Florida, and it was borderline unplayable. Looks like I need to only play in region. (In region seems to be stable enough to actually learn something) The one thing with this game I have yet to experience is the desyncs I've been told about. I've played some fairly long sets with people in and out of the Northeast, and the worst I've had is consistent lag. One thing I'd like to experience before I say this is worse or on par with ASW netcode is offline play. I haven't played enough offline to get a good grasp for how big the cancel windows are. In my experience games with large cancel windows (i.e. Arcana) are much easier to play online by virtue that you have a longer window to help compensate. There were times yesterday that I flat out could not get my CA to come out in combo, I don't know if it was the game dropping inputs or the cancel window though. On another note, the jp wiki apparently has quite a lot of useful information concerning option selects for dealing with Guard Points. Can anyone with proficient jp skills please pull and translate this wiki for the English wiki to help spread this information?
  6. not a problem, I just happened to be checking the thread at the right time lol
  7. You need to go back through Arcade mode, and win more rounds with Climax Arts than with normals.
  8. I completely agree (I went through the same thing with the Eltnum wiki page on the UNIEL wiki).I see that LarsMasters is the user who's been doing most of the edits (and I know they check this thread, plus thisis the most centralized way to communicate and organize. Please don't view this as a call out!), would it be possible to trim down/revise the Akira wiki page to reflect on DFC and not refer to other games please? It's sorta superfluous and doesn't really help someone (like myself) who has never played Akira in DOA5 or VF. Also, a quick reminder to everyone editing the wiki, please write in 3rd person. I think the Tomoka page needs to be revised a bit to remove first person speech. The person reading the wiki doesn't know who you are, so framing things as "I think" or "I use" doesn't really serve them any help. If I was smart I'd write a style guide for editing the wiki. You'd imagine I already would have made one with all the wiki work I've set up but nope that'd be somewhat smart.
  9. Is there anyone who's willing to drive down late at night on Friday? I have work that night so I can't leave before like 9:30ish.
  10. As far as I know there's no special format, as far as how long I'm unsure, he may just be busy for the weekend. There is no standard turn around time as far as I know
  11. Mizuumi wiki cleaned up some, removed some redundant data, etc etc. Akira and Selvarias pages have been completely overhauled to match the right layout, (including filling out Selvarias move names) I will not be adding any images to the wiki until I have sprite rips, which should be hopefully happening sometime in the noncommittal future. If you have any information to add (or can translate from the jp wiki, as it looks like a few people have started doing from the history log!) please contribute and help get this wiki filled out! <edit> I'm gonna go take a nap, if someone could list out all of the cancel types in the game for me so I can add the cancel types to the wiki because I'm a lazy piece of crap
  12. Don't. I will have a better solution shortly. There's no need to clean up the garbage images I grabbed from the jp wiki. There isn't, you literally have to throw a room up and tell the other person to search for it. It's sorta nuts lol
  13. Check your pms
  14. I'm gonna chill today, Fuji is tied up, and I have some games I should really finish up(and a potential article I should write :v)
  15. I would be down, the problem is I have to be awake at 6am on Sunday, so I'd have to leave pretty early. I'd want to be back home by like midnight. If that doesn't work out I still wanna mash, so anyone wanna mash at GJ?
  16. So we still need contributors to the Mizuumi wiki. I will get back to adding the normal images (as well as fixing the formatting for the two new characters) over the weekend, probably sunday. Progress is coming along, but there's still a lot of information we need! If you can translate from either of the two jp wikis or add descriptions please help!
  17. I'm familiar, and DFC ran me roughly as much as every other FG i've imported from Japan at full price.
  18. I'm curious what your definition of a full price game is, because DFC has a list price 7,538 JPY, which puts it (currently) at above 60 USD.
  19. Starting to get ready guys, don't forget we need another monitor or two pls
  20. It's the mizuumi wiki (dfc.mizuumi.net), the reason accounts are manual now is because of spam bots
  21. Heads up all you need to do to get wiki access is email bell, check the front page of the mizuumi wiki for the email address.
  22. Aight, so the second store still has most of our monitors, so if someone could bring an extra monitor or two that'd be a huge help! I'll be there at ~1:30 tomorrow
  23. Pls don't say mean things about DFC, this is a no bullying zoneĀ™, every game is a special unique snowflake and is perfect.
  24. Uhhhh what? It was recalled because of the backlash Microsoft received concerning a Quran quote being chanted in the background of one of the bgms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakuto_Chojin:_Back_Alley_Brutal#Controversy This is the first I've ever heard of the theory you presented, and I've owned the game since shortly after launch (I picked up a copy when it was recalled lol)
  25. Would be interested in doing a Red v White for AH3, UNIEL and DFC on Friday if there's space.
