  1. 1. This would make the commentary really confusing, unless you have two streams, one for each team. The alternative would be to just have the commentators watching multiple screens, while keeping the majority of their commentary on the main screen. If you watch Japanese commentary, it seems to tend to be focused on one player in each match only. They do have the option to rotate to other players if action is happening elsewhere, though. 2. There're a lot of people in Norcal who could have commentated alongside Bobby or Coopa for the EXVS finals, but they were all either busy (ala Myung) or playing in the finals and unable to commentate. We've actually recorded a number of EXVS sessions with commentary before. 3. Ridiculously so? :P To the best of my knowledge, you can't spectate player matches in the PS3 version of the game.
  2. If there's gundam sidetourney at evo, i'm going. I'm even worse at BB, now, lol. I just play Gundam all the time.
  3. I'm still surprised people wanted to watch trolling for 3 hours, lol.
  4. It does not matter. Asia version can also use the JPN PSN store's DLC, so there're no problems on that end, either. Because the Gundam series are licensed out to way too many companies in the states, as opposed to everything being owned by Bandai Namco in Japan.
  5. Most of us are assuming it's at most 1 frame faster, seeing as how 2A > 5B is still not a combo. The hitbox also extends faster, though, and no one's sure how much faster that is.
  6. It's only $20-30 for non-HD recording equipment, if you really want it. xD
  7. Great sadness. Should just go to EVO and do an EXVS side tourney, too. Actually, if there's really an EXVS side tourney along with BB side tourney, I'll probably go for sure.
  8. I was under the impression that you were supposed to contact Aksys if you wanted to host a qualifier for the tourney.
  9. Grind stick inputs in training mode. Dp motions, IAD motions, qcf/qcb, half-circle, daifunka input (lol), 360/720s. Also practice hitting the 2/4/8/6 directions exactly, though that's not really too difficult. Less advice on playing Rachel with a stick and more advice on how to play on a stick, really.
  10. IAD swallow moon crossups are ridiculously easy to react to, but I suppose they can be used once in a while.
  11. Doesn't it still pick Rachel up if she chooses not to emergency tech, unless you delay it? Don't have a PS3 on hand to double check that, though.
  12. It air-throws her out of the groundslide? What? O_o And I believe bubble still picks her up if you put it out too early. Her hitbox hasn't changed. It's been the same hitbox since CT.
  13. I guess we can just paraphrase or something. Ugh. I have to save the reports an applocale them to read them.
  14. If I show up, I can provide one copy of CSE, as well. Might not remember, though, lol.
  15. Some basic corner bat combos from various starters: 5B > 5C > Mami: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UozhKUuj2Ag (1 bat, 46 meter gain, 50 meter use, 5180 dmg) 2B > 5B > 5C > Mami: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra-3uWH2GLs (2 bats, 44 meter gain, 3414 dmg) 5A > 5A > 5B > 5C > Mami: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc2dzcETZnM (1 bat, 39 meter gain, 2711 dmg) For the first combo, you can swap out the super ender with something else for a bit more meter gain and less damage. For the second combo, you can omit the second bat and do an air ender if you'd like, or go straight into 5C > 6A > Mami. Etc. Basic shit, feel free to mess around. Off to Gundam today~. edit: turn down your youtube volume before watching the videos, or remove your headphones, or turn down your computer volume or something. arcade sounds are super loud, unfortunately.
  16. You wish. January 8th is when I fly back up. I'll be around as much as usual (probably) after that, though.
  17. I'll post that one-combo long combo video with cell-phone cam quality recording from the arcade, first! Mwaha.
  18. ^this is basically it in a nutshell. It's just that in some cases, that double BBL combo won't kill the opponent anymore (lol). I also know a lot of people really enjoy their 100 meter combos. I'm not a fan of it, but eh. To each their own.
  19. Extended combos aren't really as worthwhile as they used to be. Unless you really, really want the extra 500-700-ish damage from another BBL and extra hits, it's probably better to save your meter. If you're doing double BBL early in the combo, that's another story, as you won't be getting minimum damage BBL at that point (hopefully). It's not really a huge nerf, though. More like a mindset adjustment in terms of meter usage.
  20. A large part of that is probably BBL being nerfed (again, lol). I probably didn't choose the right words in my first post. Depending on what combo routes/starters you use, there can be pretty noticeable changes in damage output, especially if you include supers in your combos. That said, on average, you'll be doing the same combos as before, just for a few hundred damage less than in CS2.
  21. As long as you're not making it do something unusual, like playing Guilty Gear on a PS3.
  22. There are a number of large HDTVs around nowadays that test for very low input delay. Iirc, there was even one around 32" that tested at 0-1ms slower than CRTs, which is pretty much ridiculous. Anyway. CRTs and the Evo Monitor, here. We have played on a super big, super laggy TV at times for the lulz-factor, though.
  23. He's already back, apparently. lol. but he'll be at gc on weds. :D
  24. Come by this Weds, as well, shtkn. Supposed to be GG (I think?), BB, and Gundam. Brett gets back around then, too, iirc.
