Just based on previous trends, Ragna will probably go down, the way he always does. Jin will probably go up, because he's still fairly solid as a character. Valk... well, I guess we'll see. I seriously doubt Rachel is actually S, though. A tier, sure, but not S. >< ...I wonder where Valk falls on that love tier list, hahaha. I'd suggest we construct our own love tier lists, but that type of discussion doesn't belong in this forum, and it'd just get destroyed in the general forum. In any case, I guess it's nice that people think Rachel is still very good. ./cough

Just so we can get some random bb-talk going on again... -- Apparently, in the latest tier list discussion on the jbbs, Rachel is S tier. Hah. I wonder how long that'll last. Jin, Makoto, and Noel are C tier. Tager is, get this, A tier. -- Also, apparently, Tsubaki is super-low tier on the love tier list, below even Arakune (the beast (of love)!). -- Man, jbbs tier lists are sorta awesome. We need to re-open the dustloop tier list thread for amazing discussion. Also, I have to remind people here, the jbbs tier lists is about as reliable as the dustloop tier lists. ie: they're pretty much whatever.

Yeah, one of my old roommates was the same in COD (well, he just was just much worse when he was sober). Definitely doesn't work for everyone, though.

2+ years and counting, now, and I'm fairly sure I can't call myself really proficient with Rachel. But eh. Probably depends on your definition of the term. Learning new stuff all the time, all the time.

So, sorta lulzy combo here: 5B > 6BD > 6C > j.C > 5B > 6B > (opponent is fully cornered) 5CDC > 214A > 5B > j.B > jc8D > j.2DC (lvl 3) > 236A > dash 5CC > dash 3C (1 hit) > 214C > j.2C > 2A (whiff) ~3800 dmg, 52 meter gain (4 wind combo, 1.2 wind regen) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBDbTJuNDfk Combo can be started from slightly short of midscreen, and you can replace the 5B > 6BD starter with something like 5A > 5B and still get 50 meter from the combo. That said, it costs 4 wind and only regens ~1.2 wind. It does get you a huge meter advantage on the opponent and somewhat reasonable oki, though. If you do something like j.2C > 2A (whiff) > throw, and you land the throw, you can easily do 'throw > 5B > j.C > 2D > jc j.2C (lvl 2) > BBL > SJ8D > j.2C (lvl 3) > blah blah ender' for all your wind back, another 40-ish meter, 4k+ damage, and more corner oki. So, basically, if you actually get this combo off and you re-combo the opponent into BBL, you potentially do about 8k damage and end with 40 meter. Really sorta gimmicky, but eh. I enjoy my ridiculous combos. edit: also, this combo will probably be easier in CSEX, because of 6C doing more damage and therefore generating more meter. The 6Bs probably won't be necessary at all, which will make the corner requirement a lot less exact. alternative: 5B > 6BD > 6C > j.C > 5B > 6B > (opponent is fully cornered) 5CDC > 214A > 5B > j.B > jc8D > j.2DC (lvl 3) > 236A > dash 5CC > dash 3C (1 hit) > 214C > BBL > 214A > 3C (1-2 hits) > 236A > 3C (2-3 hits) ~4500 dmg, 58 meter gain (4 wind 50 meter combo, full wind regen, net gain of 8 meter) It's possible to do another level 3 j.2C after BBL, but the combo is prorated down to almost 0 damage already, so you gain nothing by doing so. The combo is much easier to do when you're close to the corner already. Insert a dash between j.C > 5B, and that's about as easy as it gets. It's also unbelievably easy on Tager... of course. edit again: figured out how to make this combo much easier to confirm. '...214A 5B j.B (delay) jc8D' <-- that's all you have to do. Wait to jump after the j.B until you'll be at the right horizontal distance to actually land the level 3 j.2C and still get the A lobelia to land close enough to the edge of the screen to combo.

Also, I just realized, this video is full of, like, in-jokes from PNW and Dustloop. Man. >_>; edit: actually, i don't even know what to put in the credits LOL. i'll just thank everyone who had anything to do with it really slowly so the song can play, rofl.

If I had to make a guess, I'd think it was because the 'air dash > j.236A' causes Rachel to basically flip open her skirt above the opponent's face.

Let's see... - I agree that Nago takes more time than necessary. This was unintentional, but the longer I stayed up working, the more Nago managed to sneak into the video (hence the earlier "I'm growing to hate Nago" comment). Also, he got in there a lot because of that missing j.B (cough). I think that's the last of him, though. There's not really anywhere else he can stick his head into the video. - Rachel's birthday music is actually already in there, unless you meant it sounds weird and I should replace it. I'm just at a loss as to what other Rachel-ish music there is. - Elegant violin music works fine, too, I think? - j.B is more active. I'll try to add this in. Not really sure how to word this without going into 'frames', which I'm trying to avoid. - j.2C we have stuff for. I'm not going to go into depth on it too much. Basically, j.2C (all) can be used to punish, if the opponent uses unsafe moves. j.2C (1) is for pressure starting, crossups, etc., but it's not the best combo starter. j.2C (2) breaks primer, is good combo filler, and a good combo starter. j.2C (3) also breaks primer, is advanced combo filler, and an amazing starting move... if your opponent doesn't manage to block it. j.2C (no wind) is pretty pointless, because even if you hit the opponent, you can't really combo from it without wind. ------ Sooo, basically.... - Some music suggestions (I'm okay with replacing the birthday music if you guys can come up with other stuff~). - Suggestions on where to shorten the NAGO? Or should I just leave it, since he's probably not coming back? edit: white requiem has a really driving beat. hm. not sure if I can figure out somewhere to use it. D:

I'll probably upload progress videos at lower quality in the future, since this one is already ~400MB. also, i totally turned nago into an egotistical idiot. edit: also also, i need more rachel music. the video is definitely longer than two versions of rachel's theme, and I'm pretty hesitant about using the vocal version.

He didn't like how Tao played in CS2, so he stopped playing. I believe he's planning on picking her up again in CSEX, though. On the tutorial video: I just finished going through, like, 2 hours of recorded footage for the tutorial. We didn't record j.B or j.2C. I have no idea how we missed those two moves, but ugh. I'm initially thought it was just j.B that was missing, so I worked around it, but now I'll need to record j.2C at the very least. I can't decide how I want to approach j.2C, either. Should I use Gii to do it (seeing as how he is the drill/ufo/etc.), or just go back to using Plastic? lol. Anyway, I'm uploading what I have at the moment. Probably'll be up in half an hour or so. That said... it's 6 and a half minutes long already, and I haven't even finished off the normals. After I get j.2C, then I need to do the specials, the distortions, throws, astral, and then explain how to use Rachel's tools and how to approach her neutral game (might gloss over this very lightly, though). This... is significantly more tiring than I ever thought it would be.

To be fair, he isn't a Rachel player, and he hasn't really been playing CS2. edit: in case it wasn't clear, i was referring to plastic.

I slowly grow to hate Nago. Nago. Why do you do this to me. Why, Nago. Why? Nago has too many soundfiles, he is everywhere, he is all over this video, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. edit: after going through nago's sound files, i suddenly love him again. omg, he's so freakin' stupid. what is this. aaagh.

Oh, God.... I added 5 more normals to the tutorial and it's already 3 minutes long. Arrrgh. I'm probably going to rush all the other normals as fast as possible. Go away, Nago. Go away. Fixed some grammar and timing problems... might get all the 6-input normals done tonight before I sleep.
