Tag cancel seems to have pretty high potential..I wonder if I could do something like, as Poison/Guy, after knocking the enemy away, I tag cancel poison's projectile and use guy's run into high/low, and then the projectile either allows me to do more pressure with blockstun or helps any followup combos. i just hope it doesnt end up being TAG CANCEL INTO BABBY'S FIRST UNBLOCKABLE SETUPS ALL DAY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1oWAeshfZw#t=0m22s and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39zE7p3YGGQ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBk6HmEMW1E should give you some idea.

If neutral is good(Varied, I suppose?) enough and frame advantage/disadvantage is "meaningful" enough in terms of pressure strings/mixup and risk/reward, then I think that would do enough to remove any "Block move, poke back after 1-2 strikes" x N feeling.

How is it hard to punish? You have like an 18(at least) frame window. Tager's 5c, Jin's 5d, Litchi's 6b[m], etc all seem to punish it just fine.

longer combos do not magically make a game not stale it's not like there's few games with high comboability.

A meter system?! Nice. "EX" moves sounds like a fun addition. The supers didnt seem to do retarded damage either, unless I wasnt paying attention, so that's nice.

Soul Calibur 5's adding a meter system where you have EX moves. So that's cool. I like the way it is on the HUD too.
