  1. Barely anybody is responding to aimtexts about this week's friday/saturday meetups. Tomato is a maybe for friday, and I think supaa responded for saturday but.well, I forgot what he said. Jet said he's a maybe for saturday. i guess people are busy or something. in any case, i'm going to SHIT HYPE on you guys when ah3 has arrived. phoenix in mvc3 looks sweet. may run morrigan/magneto/phoenix. assuming i buy it, which basically pivots on if advance guard actually makes it impossible to do more than 2-3 hits of pressure or not. haggar looks pretty cool too, but it will be hard for a 720 to ever impress me again after seeing tager's and yashiro's

  5. game sold out on preorders in a lot of places. i wouldn't worry about it. the base material is apparently profitable too, so that helps sell it, ahaha. it will probably end up developing well like melty blood.
  6. Ougon's fun and has great ideas and shit but I feel like it's missing something. Still, will run it at meetups for a while and it should be legit as fuck with a few sequels.

  8. bbcs2 will be on PSP on march 31st, so, obviously we can expect the patch(and platinum, which the PSP version has) at about then as well i wonder when we'll get a real date on kof13 besides "spring"...
  9. Indeed you can, and that is a wonderful thing and I wish fighters had more feintable normals in general, but that has does little to help the claim that overheads in BB are hilariously slow, although the broad picture of why mixup is worse is important.
  10. Slayer's 6k is 20 frames. Makoto's 6b is 19. Makoto's is above average in BB, but still. Most dusts are 22-24 it seems, and some are complete ass like 26/27 frames, and a lot are unsafe on block, lol (Not Chipp's, thankfully!) tk yozansen is indeed gdlk Yeah, I get that for sure. I'm not saying mixup isn't stronger than GG, but throwing out random stuff like "the overheads are hideously slow" doesn't seem legit.
  11. I've seen a lot of people say this, but aren't almost all ground overheads in GG 20-24 frames as well?
  12. Yeah, main work I'll put into it is not fucking up shannon's combos and slowly going "ok i should probably meta cancel..ever" and what not. BB/AH3 are the only fighters I see myself putting much work into in the near future, and in the summer, some GG. I can see it getting really good in future iterations though. It's a great mix of stuff, certainly has its place.
  13. I realize this, but knockdowns against anyone without a real dp=Wakeup meaty will counterhit anything unless they're close enough for a 0 frame throw or something. I was talking about when you're already in pressure, not neutral. Neutral will be interesting. I've seen a significant number of clashes so far, even without mirrors. They have a lot less hitfreeze too than most games, interestingly.... I bet the shield could be good for okizemi. Also, i've seen it eat some attacks with poor hitboxes before, so it will probably be obnoxious at certain ranges against characters.

  15. Not blocking wont help you much when I already have you knocked down ;p Backdash 214a? What, you can cancel the backdash into an air move, or you just mean punished battler's 214 series since it's got hella recovery? I'm going to run lots of Kanon and Siesta, with occasional messing around with shannon until I get more use to her. Her bad B moves are pretty painful, but she does have some good stuff.
  16. for keyboard champions, alternative to the previous info i reported: "i've found a better solution for keyboard users :D just install http://headsoft.com.au/download/pc/VJoySetup.exe it has option to block keys - wich means that key used for button emulation wouldn't work as keys and to make arrow keys working, just have to configure numpad4 for left, numpad8 for up, numpad6 for right, numpad5 for down :)" Also, I think it would be useful to make a little list of what projectiles go away on user's block and or hit. Like, shannon's bird will even interrupt combos, but Siesta's late arrows will only interrupt pressure, not actual hits.
  17. Note that lucifer's..EX 214 IIRC is nice as a reversal since she goes away from the other play before superflash ends. Beat my wakeup meaty. And her normal 214 is kind of nice, goes over lows on startup I think. Backdashes are nice in this game, btw, i think. Not quite sure on HOW good, but they do have some nice frames at least. Seen a few wakeup backdashes. I hope you guys are ready to block kanon's pressure.
  18. So Rave and Ronin confirmed for Umineko fightan pals? Awesome. I play Kanon, Shanon, and Siesta. Almost always have kanon on the team. Wanna work on virgilia, too. She can actually do good rushdown, surprisingly.

  21. Yes, I know. But that does not explain random disconnects at similar times pre-"BURITZ" when the start button was not hit. Still, I'll double check that i didnt..accidentally..assign two buttons to start or something i dont know that didnt even seem possible
  22. HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU TURKEYS I'm totally using my PC as an Umineko setup at meetups. The Umineko fighter fucking owns. Game fucking owns hard. Shit that I love from ANIMOO Fighters + shit that i enjoy from "Traditional" ones=awfjfakwlf -Some characters have very strong zoning -Lots of strong pressure -The tag/meter system is fantastic -Normals feel sort of oddly designed, but I feel like it works out for some reason. -TAGGING BASED ON SOMETHING BESIDES "OH SHIT I DONT HAVE ANY HEALTH LEFT?" IMPOSSIBLE It seems that shoryus/supers lack significant startup invinc a lot of the times, so it's sort of like kof in that regards. JET YOU SHOULD PLAY I'm pming you all info about where to get it. I guess if your computer is too shitty to run it, then you can ignore it. Otherwise, check it out. Feel free to bother me on AIM(mightfox2) or dustloop PMs about online matches on it, too. Or bother each other. It should definitely be good for nearby people.
  23. Game fucking owns hard. Running Kannon and Shannon right now. Been doing netplay with cirno, has been quite good, only problem is it was disconnecting for no fucking reason...connecting straight to my modem may have helped that. Or maybe it was the reboot. Regardless, been quite good. Shit that I love from ANIMOO Fighters + shit that i enjoy from "Traditional" ones=awfjfakwlf Loving the zoning characters have, too, as well as the pressure.   24. Only transient was able to come. Ah well. Had some good fights with his noel. Glad noel 2d is getting nerfed, that move is retarded. Otherwise, fun stuff. Showed him the umineko fighter some, which is pretty interesting. I'm sort of underwhelmed with most characters' pokes in that game, though, but then again i really like a lot of characters' zoning specials and stuff... But yeah. We'll see if I will host next weekend at all since I won't be doing the austin thing and i will possibly be busy getting ready for the next semester. AH3 soon though! Will definitely have hype meetups for that after it releases.
