  1. Well I had fun at Otakon this weekend. I got some Blazblue practice in which is good. I got to play a decent Lambda, Litchi, and two Tager players. I didn't get to enter the tournament since I had to leave at like 9:30 p.m. :/ Congrats to the Litchi player that won! I also saw Christina Vee in the dealers room today. I got a few autographs as well as a free poster. :3 She also said 'hands off the panda' for me and my friend. 'twas amazing.
  2. I knew 5B was jump cancel-able, but not 6B. O_o I'm gonna have to try that out! Does it have decent priority?
  3. I personally recommend 5B>2B>6B>slightly delayed 4D>236A>236A>dash>combo.
  4. Of course 3C>214D won't combo. So I should just input 214D to force them to block? I tend to input 214D~C just in case they try to jump away, possibly landing me a free combo. How is 6B as a normal? I usually use 5A if I can predict if the opponent will attack. It also makes a decent air to air (jA of course).
  5. Is it me, or are 236B/C a little too safe? Also after a knockdown from 3C, should I continue to follow up with 214D(~C)? I feel like it can be mashed through, but I'm not sure. Also greetings from the Carl board.

  7. What ever happened to zeero? He was my favorite Carl player. :< I still can't get the dash>allegretto to land. I get the silly dash cancel. I finally nailed the IAD allegretto>8D. As for this combo: xx>j2C alle~can> jB>jC>8D>xx, I can't always get the j2C>jB to combo. Maybe it's my timing, but I'm not sure. Is there a requirement for this combo?

  9. I really gotta break my CT habits. At Otakon I finally got some practice in. It took me a while to do 5B>2B>6B. 2D loops were easier than I thought. My only problem is doing Carl's corner combo (IAD allegretto>8D). What's the input for it? Just simply IAD allegretto>8D? Also I tried doing dash allegretto too. I kept getting the dash cancel (although the dash cancel is handy for grabs :3). How do I do this?

  18. If Carl blocks when volante is out, then the projectile will stay. If Carl is hit while volante is out, then it goes away. Also the Carl player does a new method of the 2D loop in the Carl vs. Jin match.
  19. Well yes, I do mean 5B>6B>jB, but also j2C>jB>jC as well. I think in a Dio vs. Dora match, Dio hit with a 3D>j2C>jB>jC, while Bang was crouching. I guess I have a new mix-up to work on. :3 How often should we try, on their wake-up, to cross-up with Nirvana's 6D? In a recent video a Carl player got frequent counter hits with it.
  20. If anyone has seen the new Carl combo video (as displayed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=do8ugEO6mSk&playnext_from=TL&videos=2LRGwKCZFzE), are the combos starting around 2:15 Jin specific? I know j2C>j5B>j5C works on Lambda, Bang, and Tsubaki, but what about other characters?

A nice anti-side step for Izuna is his lock on 6X~4. When you input left he cancels his second attack, and if it lands you get a free combo. His magic servant is fairly decent against taking out armored units. Abuse his honey mustard attack (5Y) before moving in to attack. Random charge stun edge's can be easily punished; only use it against mobs or in combo (as demonstrated in the second video). Ky has a lot of tools once he get's in the opponent's defenses. Learn which moves can go into what and you can easily guard break them (if you have the tension). Oh, and Ayumu<3
  22. Well Panda, Phantasy Star Portable 2 is confirmed for a 2010 Fall release for the US and UK. Get hype. Any who, if anyone still plays this game feel free to add me. I've been itching to get another game going.
  23. 2C is a fatal counter? Maybe we can use this after shoryu's too. 5A>tick grab also works from time to time.
  24. I miss this game. What's with all the Sol love? Sin is where it's at. 2Y against VV into a free combo ftw.
