  1. Hey go win some tournaments man FRKZ is overpowered right, go use it get at me then
  2. No one, literally, no one, has successfully used the new FRKZ for better results than non FRKZ in CS. This is more important than theory-crafting. I can list all kinds of problems with FRKZ, and already did post several. You don't get invincibility on dash Your approach is horrible You can't nail dash, making your nails next to worthless reducing an important aspect of your mixup The damage isn't stronger, it's equivalent If you get hit, it's automatic counter hit You have no invincible backdash That's 6 big as hell reasons off the top of my head FRKZ is not a good idea, and are all supported by great players losing on activation. Post me some videos of people doing well in FRKZ against other top tier characters and I'll take you more seriously, but don't act like I don't know anything.
  3. Oh, certainly not on reaction. But your options are better than Bang's in FRKZ, for sure. If you hit him it's essentially a counter hit regardless, so even if what you land isn't a grab it's going to hurt.
  4. Where's your proof No one has successfully used the new FRKZ for any legitimate gain, against good players. Not even Dora. What on earth are you basing this on? They nerfed FRKZ, and they buffed the living hell out of Bang. It's not better than it used to be, and standard Bang is incredible.
  5. Allis..fighter?? I can't get awayyyy from it lol

  6. A couple reasons. 1. They nerfed FRKZ quite hard. -You can't nails during dash, meaning you can only throw them at weird spaces high in the air and they just generally don't help much, plus, would essentially be sledge meat -You get no invincibility on dash anymore, which isn't huge until you factor in; 2. You have gadget finger Meaning, if you hit any manner of 360 or collider, FRKZ is your bitch, since he's magnetized and close and you have frame advantage. If he dashes up back, free collider. If he dashes straight back, probably any D or 720 beats it. If he tries to cross up, 5A will counterhit to collider. Basically, you have an answer for anything he may do in this situation. But yeah, normal bang will be plenty to worry about. Lol.
  7. Lol. He's right, FRKZ is never going to eat the 720 man. There's literally no reason for a bang player not to cross up jC literally every time you enter it, unless Tager is already doing a move, in which case you simply punish it with whatever's appropriate or Daifunka if available. However, if you IB the cross jC that every bang player loves in FRKZ, and the bang player grounds himself, you might have yourself a free 720. Otherwise, he's going to dash to the other side and jB/jC you again. Then he might ground himself, free 720. Otherwise, he's going to do it again or run away. If he does it again, he has no choice but to ground himself, but will probably get scared and run away. Meaning nothing's free, everything sucks. Don't worry, it won't be like this in CS.
  8. But regular Bang re-launches so efficiently now, it's hard to match the effortlessness of j623B 5B 623B 5B 2B Air combo with jagged, shifty-approached FRKZ combos. Sure everything does more damage, but are you going to get a double relaunch for free like normal Bang? Usually, no.
  9. In CS, it's hard for me to say it's worth it 9 out of 10 times. Standard Bang is so good, and they nerfed FRKZ hard with no nail dashing and no invincibility. I'd say learn it, just to screw characters like Hakumen, and for kicks.
  10. There was a Tsubaki player at MGL who was having reasonable success in Air-Air with Tsubaki's double jB (I think, correct me if she doesn't have it); forced me to start air grab interrupting him, which ironically led to more damage since Bang's air grab daifunka is 5.2k, and while that only works in the corner, it's pretty easy to get a random counter throw. Another warning of things Bang can do and a suggestion of something Tsubaki has that seems pretty good.
  11. I have to strongly disagree, having watched many a Dora video where a matchup has flipped from extremely hard to seeming even in his advantage (particularly V carl) in CT. In CS, I don't think it's anywhere near as useful, since Bang in normal mode is a top tier character. *shrug* I'd say its best use is if you have time to scope people out in casuals previous to a tournament, see if they can handle FRKZ well or not; if yes, don't use it on them. If no, go all out.
  12. Yeah, that's the one I meant. Bang's probably not going to be trying to bait generally non-invincible DPs during his godmode pressure, so if you throw it out you are probably going to connect. Worst case, you trade, and are not in pressure.
  13. Shadow, Bang's overheads are certainly dangerous. if he hits an overhead, it's 3k (4k with meter) or 2.5k, and both finish with you on the ground on wakeup situation. Also, his 5C overhead gatlings into his 6B overhead, so you have to learn to block multiple overheads in a row while still watching for his incredibly fast 2A, 2C, and the tricky low 6A. It's pretty scary, but if you see Bang pause for an overhead or slow low, you can reaction DP if your fingers are quick enough. You only have about 18 or 24 frames, I can't remember which, but neither are that long.
  14. Figured I'd drop by and see if I could help, this matchup suuuucks. Unfortunately I can't really help you out with answers, but I can list some of Bang's more dangerous options in hope that you guys can see them coming before it hits. First off, and most clearly, Bang's 5A is absurd. With meter, it's 4k off an easy combo, so unless you like to lose you have to find some way to not take the 7-or-so frame poke. I know, this is an impossible note, but it has to be mentioned. This is going to be the most common way to lose quickly. I don't really know what to say here. Second, Bang seems to win in air to air too. Tsubaki's aerials seem to be too slow to beat out Bang's jA and j4C, and his spaced jB is going to beat any of your aerial pokes too. If he's in the air and you're in the air, probably your best bet is to try to land and use your AA move, Ginseng was hitting me with that with pretty solid consistency, it seems to at the very least force Bang to block in most cases, as it's pretty quick; there's one thing that beats it though, Dnails is going to beat it clean, so be careful. Thirdly, Bang has scary as all hell airunblockable resets, and they tend to be really hard to see coming. If the combo did ~3k damage and finished with a j623B at moderate height, if you tech before hitting the ground be sure to barrier, because that's a free 6C reset if the Bang knows that particular reset. I would generally recommend teching off the ground or after he takes an extra 5A or 5B for negligible damage, as if you tech on the ground a Bang trying to 6C you will whiff and you'll get a free combo. I don't really know what to say, this matchup is horrid. Respect Bang's Dnails, try to be patient, and pray to god you guess right a lot. Ginseng, if you want I could try to bounce back and forth a couple thoughts if you think you have any answers to what I was talking about above.
  15. Not only can he win them, he gives other people that uncomfortable feeling of being completely dominated in matchups. Bang V Noel and Tsubaki is uuuuuugly. I've been playing the Tsubaki Mod, and no matter how well he plays he still loses for Bang's godly damage and pressure.
  16. No, this has been the happiest moment of my gaming life I feel like superman on crack in my local arcade, with the new bang I don't have any reason to lose, which is nice for a change.
  17. Oh is that how it is, it's manning up time, eh :8/: WELL THEN WE'LL MM Best of luck to you sir
  18. Dude, Mike, I'm having second thoughts about the money match Bang is so ridiculous, and I don't want to win on a fluke How about a "If you win you get 5 dollars and if I win you don't" match, I really don't want to somehow put you down money because of me, especially since honestly it would be because of my character if anything
  19. HFA, I'm gonna be back in SoCal starting February, for college. But I won't have a car, so I'm going to be bumming rides off Derek and other cool folk constantly.
  20. Yeah but really I don't expect to win Although I might with my stupid ridiculous character. I finally got CS by my house, it's 1 minute away, so the past 2 days and surely within the next 20 I've been and will be learning the stick So hopefully by the time I get down there I'll be reasonably seasoned in CS and might even be okay at arcade stick. Here's wishing for a good match. ^_^
  21. What WUT said And what really pissed me off is when I found out about the same move proration, I was going to invent this combo, then Dora already had. That bastard is always 3 steps ahead of me.
  22. It's a pretty fucked up ridiculous BnB. 3.7k meterless on a 5B is something foreign to Bang, lets cherish it.
  23. Mike I have a business proprosition to make It regards making your machine affordable 5 dolla money match u scared
  24. A stronger BnB is 5B 2B 6C jD 6A 623B d2B j623B 5B 2B air combo Hits about 3.7k
  25. Yeah, I'd emphasize the 5K damage super off 2D more than a 4 seal, especially now that FRKZ has overall taken the back burner.
