  1. I'm home this weekend, so I can online! FIGHT MEH... tomorrow? :kitty:

  2. Clever, I'll give you that.
  3. B- Makoto (3-5 bars) E- Makoto (lower than 3 bars)
  4. Haz command grab is awesome for one thing. INVINCIBILITY FRAMES. No other command grab can make ID or JH whiff.
  5. This is full of so much win, not gonna lie.
  6. I dunno, without the use of parry cancel a 5D midscreen ender is usually safe enough to dash in to apply pressure , since they slide and can't tech for so long. But that's just me, I haven't been horribly punished so far, even against the better characters.
  7. BBS actually doesn't have a lot of invincibility, so not that great as a reversal. I've been 5B'd out of it on wakeup, and also 720'd out of it. It is, however, a great midscreen backdash/airdash punisher, or a punisher for whiffed moves in general. Against Haz you'll find no better punish for whiffed chains.
  8. You don't want to know. Just know that you'd rage if you knew about him, and you were a true artist.
  9. Makoto j.2C is so bad, I use it like once in a match, if at all, and that's it. It's so slow that anyone with a good AA can punish it in their sleep, or IB punish it. If it had a guard point or something, then it might help Makoto's terrible air approach game.
  10. Makoto is a solid B+, imo. Great damage, a monster up close, but eh pokes and mixup. And approaching with Makoto in the air is suicide unless the opponent doesn't have a great AA. Ragna, Haku, Bang, Litchi all outpoke her. Not sure about Carl because I haven't fought a good Carl yet. And vs Hazama she's great up close but far away it's hard to get in, same with vs Lambda. And honestly, I don't use parry cancel at all, yet I can still do great damage and pressure. It's just with parry cancel (if you can do it consistently, lol) her great options up close become even better.
  11. Beginner mode forum. Use it. I swear, does anyone bother to read anymore?
  12. Jin has much more damage than Tsubaki in the corner, and on average midscreen, but I think Skye's right in that Tsubaki's a bit better at approaching Jin then he is to her. However, to me, it seems the matchup should be about even, so... I dunno really.
  13. I was 720'd out of BBS. I cried.
  14. Been playing against a really good Lambda, so here's some of what I've found out. 3C goes under 5D and 5C mash. It can also go under 2C, though the timing is kinda iffy. I've gone under it and then gotten hit by it when I tried to 3C again, so I dunno. IB those parsers, or jab them out of its startup. Makoto's A jabs are really, really good for punish and pressure up close. Bait wakeup gravity wells and punish. Lambda's GW is her best tool to get out of Makoto's close range pressure. If you make her waste the DP, then you can score another free combo and knockdown to put even more pressure up. Be patient and IB 5C, 6C, swords, whatever you can to get frame advantage and meter. Far away she's got the advantage, but up close (and in the corner, optimally) Lambda should be very scared of Makoto.
  15. Does anyone notice that there is a Beginner mode section in the forum? The Gameplay thread is for more serious stuff than newbie questions. Also, LURK MOAR. Seriously, like Fieryda said, most of these questions could be answered if you just took some time to look around the damned forum. And hello to another Jin masher. I swear, this forum attracts them like flies on rotten meat...
  16. 1. Go to training mode. 2. Practice one combo over and over again. 3. ???? 4. PROFIT 5. Move on to the next combo. Repeat steps 1-5. Also, Arcade mode is horrid for learning higher levels of gameplay, but for a beginner it isn't too bad to go there and mess with combos. But seriously, practice, practice, practice. This is a fighting game. Practice comes with the territory. You can't get magically better at the game overnight. This is precisely the reason why people would rather play FPS games then fighting games, because you have to practice a lot, and people are lazy.
  17. Pick Ragna. 5B > 5C > 214A > 214D. Should take you about five seconds to learn. If you still can't do that, then you're playing the wrong game.
  18. It's called practice. Do it.
  19. I must join this... chat of yours. I can only type, no talking though. :(

  20. HOT DAMN. What brought about this sudden drawing?

  21. I can IB B parser all day and punish with 5B. C parser is harder because the Lambda I play doesn't C parser unless I'm in the air or in a combo. It's not hard to IB parsers once you get used to them- oh wait, you play online, never mind.
  22. Mash A from a full screen away?
