Why are we discussing Valk matchups when you guys barely touched Makoto and Mu when they first came out? I thought it was gonna be policy not to discuss new characters until much later when most of their potential had been realized.

If all characters are broken, the game is by definition balanced, since being broken is the standard baseline. So then, how is that balanced game still broken? Because it seems to me that you're saying that even if MvC3 is balanced by its brokenness, it's still a broken game, even though it's balanced. Cool logic bro.

I come in here and find people bitching that Makoto is ass without parry loop. I've never bothered to learn parry loop yet I can pull off 5k combos quite regularly. Looks like someone didn't learn his character all the way without resorting to bitching. Anyway, I'm alright with the level of brokeness MvC3 is going to inevitably have as long as everyone is broken. I want mah Felicia as broken as the rest of them.

Let's be honest, who's gonna get hit by 2C? And a Fatal, no less? Sure, it may work the first time, but goddamn everything can poke Makoto out of her 2C startup animation, or fuck, most people will block that slow ass normal.

Tager 2C is not good for the sole reason that it's so goddamn slow and unsafe. And huge damage? Not really.

I'd say Jin's 2C is a good contender for a terrible FC. It's so ungodly slow, and I can't see anyone hitting with it except by accident. Oh, and the aforementioned Bang 623B and 3C. You can't really get anything off of those.

Whoever says that Makoto 2C is a great FC is forgetting the part where a good FC has to be EASY TO LAND. Honestly, if you land a 2C, the opponent must have attention issues. Houtenjin is easily the best FC. People who say otherwise have not witnessed the horror of being IB JH'd out of a blockstring into 5-7k damage. Hotaru is not better than JH because of the sole reason that it's not invincible on frame one (jump frames lol). Runner ups I would suggest would be Ragna 2C and Carl j.B, because of their safety and ease of use.
