The fact that Sol has the least amount of wins bothers me for some reason.

So I was told a rumor that baiken and zappa might not make it in the xrd series due to their story not being relevant at all ...if it's true, this saddens me bc I mained both those chars

Those arcade rankings are not a tier list. Sol could be low just because a lot of new players pick him, and the same goes for Ky. It's just a usage chart showing what characters are winning/losing regardless of a person's skill level, so it's counting newbies as well as pros. It's almost impossible to accurately infer a character's strength from something like that.

This. It wouldn't make sense for Sol to drop in the tier list when he barely got changed vs. characters who got hefty nerfs. That's not to say those particular characters are bad, mind you; just means Sol really wouldn't move from his position too much, it'd be everyone else shuffling about.

Make Sol Badguy as stupidly badass and absurdly powerful as possible.

Pffft, if character tiers were determined by Arcade rankings, Axl would be forever low tier.

Sol, Ky and Millia are consistently the bottom 3 because of how popular of picks they are among new players. While characters like Venom and Pot who get picked alot less at all levels, tend to have their numbers inflated by the results of specialists. 

 

it'd be interesting to see if characters like Elphelt and Leo were achieving such high average win ratios because they aren't being picked as much by beginners, or if they were able to achieve such high win counts while also being frequently picked. (After all it is Elphelt we're looking at)

When I was first figuring out all the new characters, I kept getting blown up. It was mostly shit like "WHAT IS THAT?! THAT HITS OVERHEAD?! HOW I BLOCK?!" and etc. After a week or two of playing I figured out shit pretty quickly. I'd imagine is the same learning curve before the ranks even out in a month or two. Worst case scenario, Mugen will carry Sol back up to #1 *Thumbs up*

I personally never considered him that low honestly in both those versions. I still saw plenty of insane matches involving Sol. Though of course not as much as now because people had so many other choices back then.

He was like B- to B+ in those games. Just goes to show what kind of game AC was, where for the most part, any character could take a tournament.

Yea, I don't anyone could be considered "bad" in AC, but rather not as optimal to play compared to someone else.

It's not a big thing. They're hinting they may go to Japanese colonies in the next game and the Japanese nationals who are part of the playable chars would make sense to make an appearance there.
