Is the PS Plus color set only usable on PS4?

"Bought" it in the PSN store this morning, yet there it does not show up in PSN downloads list on my PS3 and the colors have not been added to the game.

 

On that same note, I noticed that the Christmas Color pack says "PS3" on my PSN download list. Should I decide to pick up the PS4 version of this game, will it transfer over or did I miss out on a separate download at the time?

 

EDIT: For those who haven't picked them up yet, the PS plus colors are still available until 2/10 in North America.

I use PS+ colors on PS3.
Not sure why yours wouldn't show up.

PS+ colors are for both PS3 and PS4. You will however need to have PS+ to get access to download the colors and to keep the colors. I believe if your just now getting the game you might have missed out on the PS+ colors as they were a limited time thing.

Well I got my game at launch, but the colours are just showing up for download now(even though some of my friends got them a while back) so I think they're showing up later for some people.

Nah, US deadline for downloading the PS plus colors are 2/10.

 

On that note, I'm an idiot. There are separate downloads for the PS3 and PS4 versions. So, it looks like I also missed out on the PS4 christmas colors. Whatever, isn't that big of a deal.

It says linked to your account once you "purchase" the colors. However, to keep using the account they're linked too has to be an active PSN+ account.

According to Aksys, you can still continue to DL the PS+ colors after your subscription expires, via under your SEN Store account> download list... I've heard of people keeping certain DLC and Avatars exclusive to PS+ members after the subscription expired, so maybe the same rule will apply to these colors..?

The Christmas colors are cross buy, the PS+ ones are not and have to be downloaded seperately. So don't worry about it.

Yeah, but kinda wrong and misleading, I let my sub lapse not too long ago, like PS+ games, any PS+ free DLC (if there might be exceptions) also goes with it, and the PS+ colors left along with it, So yeah, you still keep them as long as you have an active PS+ sub. But you won't keep them forever though.
