Dacidbro Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Lol. It's true, switching up tiers doesn't really bode well with guilt. :v
Justice7541 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 What's up with guardpoints and multi-hit moves? Sometimes the guardpoint extends and makes the whole move safe and sometimes it'll block some of the hits and then I get hit by the rest of the move. What's up with teleporting when you're using 5D and 6D? They seem to keep your momentum in a weird way, and I've often done 6D > A tele and teleported right in front of them and continued the kick facing AWAY from them. Why does every hit blocked with j.D send you higher into the air after the guardpoint? Is that changed in CS? Guardpoints get extended by constant blockstun. That's why you can block all of Nu's Gates of Babylon, but conversely you can't teleport until the blockstun ends. If there's a break in the blockstun, then your guardpoint will progress as normal, so there's a chance you might get hit out of it (unless you're doing 2D, that has a really long guardpoint for some reason). As for teleports, they move based on where you're facing, not where your opponent actually is. If you get crossed up and do a guardpoint-teleport, you'll end up moving away from them instead of behind them. I don't know about the 6D teleport thing but I assume it's due to you barely not crossing them up but the game thinking you did.
rei-Scarred Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 well at least to me carl-bang is 10-0 while nu-bang is 5-5 guess thats just me then huh
Dacidbro Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Carl v Bang is certainly worse than Nu v Bang, that's not just in your head. It's a hellish matchup for bang, having no way out of the loop, and Nu can't lock Bang down like most characters, having teleports and double air dashes and nails.
DaiAndOh Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Pretty much. Personally I say 6-4 Nu, 9-1 Carl for numbers. That dude can BURST DEFENSIVELY and I die.
iw2ma Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Ya, i prefer fighting Nu anyway, but it's still not for the guilt factory
Dacidbro Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 It's okay, they're both gonna be positive matches in CS.
faultydefense Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 i still dont like bang's get ins vs carl...its not super stacked anymore though
Dacidbro Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Well the biggest plus is he doesn't kill you if he hits you once. :d Plus, Carl's wakeups are terrible other than the Cog, and if you predict it and wait for the super flash you can reaction Daifunka. Carl just has no really good answer to Bang's pressure.
Black ninja Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I think im wrong about this but i think you can use steel rain for invincibility
rei-Scarred Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 which is kind of pointless considering daifunka has more
rei-Scarred Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Bang montage 2 done! This is far more entertaining then my shitty match vids i promise XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUVcliXe_xk
Black ninja Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Im not sure if anyone posted this but BB then throw the umbrella
Tsuuna Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Tsuuna has discovered a new combo! Test as follows, and critique? It's grown on me, as a nice basic BnB for my Bang, learning the timing of the 5C is a little tedious, though. 5a>5B>2B>2C> j. C-nail> j.D> j. C-nail> d.5C> j. C-nail> d.6C> 263B/ 263C I forget the damage output, but I think it was around 2800? Have fun testing. Wrong combo thread I think... I'll post elsewhere.
BigLeafyTree Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 That is a lot of nails spent for not much reward. Looks pretty though.
Tsuuna Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I really worked it into my gameplay, because I tend to be not very heavy on using my nails. I figure, why waste some D nails on a blockstring, when I can go in with three C nails, for damage, amirite?
LAMG Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 that reminded me of my first lame c nail combo i am having problems with this combo: 5a,2a,5b,2b,2c,jc,236c,6c,623c i know that i can input that jc as 8236c as soon the 2c connects but the c nail misses 50% of the time.

I figure, why waste some D nails on a blockstring, when I can go in with three C nails, for damage, amirite? Because D nails give you advantage and C nails give you...damage you could already do without them? C nails = for seals, punishing stupid mashing, and combo'ing dashing DD on Carl for more damage than 6D, dashing DD. Or the occasional silly tech trap.
The_Grither_ Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Can someone tell me if this combo is old or not cuz I accidentally did this the other day and its pretty cool... Standing as close as possible...2c the second u do then press up and jump cancel but before bang actually jumps input your command throw. Kinda hard to do but does 3405 damage and works on ALL characters.
Dacidbro Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 It is old, but certainly useful, especially online. It might be easier if you input 62369 instead of putting in 9623, so you put in the command as you jump instead of jumping and then putting it in. Just remember, you might get 3.4k damage this way, but if you use 2C 623B you can get roughly 2.5k guaranteed or be a lot safer if they block it. Your trick also works on 6D, at least in the corner.

Dacidbro Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 the 2C 6D really confuses people more than just hitting into grab usually though, since when people are bouncing all over the ground they don't expect to get grabbed.
Lord Cruxis Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Just for shenanegens. Whats bang longest combo? I was just bored in training mode and i thought it was the one where uh you do this Have a 214A or C bumper then. 5a, 5b, 2b, j.C, 3-dash off bumper, 5a, 5b, 2b, j.C, 1-dash, 5a, 5b, 2b, 2c, Daifunka Just curious. Minus that uhh 21 hit combos with wasting all your nails in that uhh blazblue video on special edition of blazblue.
