I steel rain to punish moves... For example when tagers do full screen spark bolts, that'll whiff cause it has invincible startup....doesn't work on moves that hit multiple times

Tager's really your only best bet on a punish, I don't reccomend it's useage beyond that. Unless you're feeling really risky. There's the slim to none chance you might get it off on an INFERNOH DIVIEDAH, and thats funny for free damage, but of course, Ragna ain't Tager, and gets out pretty fast.

well, yesterday I was playing againist an ok tager. anyways... i was just messing around and I did a defensive burst after I took one hit in the round while he was attacking me from the corner and for whatever reason I decided why not throw daifunka. Not only was it a Legit combo, it did 2.3k damage i think too. I chipped him to death afterwords with d nails. not sure if that was known, but burst combo=viable in situations when opponent has low health This is CT btw and i haven't tested it on anyone else but i assume that it would work on atleast haku and ragna

tsunna, I WILL BE using this on you if it works on bang. if not i'm going to force you to pick tager lol tests on bang now .... EDIT: WHOLEY crap, 3.3k not 2.3 lol and doesn't work on bang but it does tager testing some more

sad, Tager only specific combo that does 3.4k damage BUT tits guarenteed a guardcrush or combo in the scenario if you counter burst. hmmm i never tried doing it off counter burst i wonder if it will be different/

It all depends, I suppose. I've been making combos a lot, lately. So maybe I'll play with something like that. :yaaay:

cH 5D into super in corner does 4.3k dmg, lol omg it works outside the corner if you wait a half of a second. MADNESS Counter Burst doesn't make a difference. Burst into super is VERY viable aganist a good tager player that your about to kill. as long as you have dnails for chip

Edited. Oh, duh. Also, for great justice and unburstable damage, everyone loves Command throw > Rapid > Daifunka. :v: But that's another story. Since this is the Steel Rain thread, I bet command throw > rapid > steel rain would be very lulzy on Tager.

A+B+C+D into super as fast as you can and, CH 5D...delay till begin to fall super. 5D super is pretty viable if you ever counter something stupid and the timing isn't ridiculous like 2D super

If I ever get a CH 2D, I'll be WAY happy. I mean, the combo potential is astronomical. :eng101:

CH 5D is still good, but in terms of being able to combo off of it, I feel a bit less open in terms of what to do, aside from air-combo. It's just sort of in my muscle memory to do that. :psyduck:

It doesn't work well on Inferno divider cause he'll beat that out....

I just thought you'll understand from the spark bolt punishment, how that can lead to stuff on other characters... like hakumen's distortion, reading a burst, Noel's air distortion (depending on range) etc....

i cannot find it.

i know the basic one 5A 5B 2B 6C jD 2B 623B 5D jB J4C jB j4C jC

That's the standing BnB

If you can't hit confirm don't do that one (but it's damn easy to do so)

5A 5B 2B 2C 2B 623B 5D j.B j.4C dj j.C seems to be a good one. It's not distance dependant neither since you can dash 2B after the 2C and it will still connect. Works on crouchers and enemies a little far away. 6C's horizontal hitbox still seems pretty small, but if you start the combo right on them and they're standing then you're golden.

i wonder which one is stronger? i'll try that second one the next time i play cs. i've noticed that dora doesn't take advantage of most of the cs bang changes. i think

I will admit, Bang is not Beginner Friendly. But his basic combo's aren't that hard to pick up on. I rated him a 4 and after reading everyone's opinions, I should have rated him higher than that, but I say no more than an 8. Bang install is an "Option" for his playstyle. It is quite effective, your attack is higher, Speed is ridiculous, and the opponent can be thrown off easily due to the irregular movements Bang has in install but, you cannot guard unless you have a barrier. Probably his only weakness but as I've said before, Bang Install in an option. His attacks are quite fast and he has a lot of ways to mix up his game to go from high, mid and low attacks, utilizing his crossover, utilizing pressure combos especially when the opponent is cornered, and timing his tech grab (Which does a geat amount of damage). All of these things comes in accord when using Bang to his fullest extent. His drives gives him the chance to counter attack an opponent in front of them, behind them or you can use it as a quick escape, but all that takes good timing otherwise you recieve counter damage. Bang has 12 needles and they are used by throwing them or placing bumpers so you have to choose wisely which ones you wanna drop so that you can stay ahead of the game. Shishigami Nimpo is a great special, and has many set ups for it but can be punished on an extreme level if blocked, Rain of Shuriken is a great special to use especially after Barrier Burst, but if used incorrectly, Extremely Punishable. And let's not get started on Bang's Astral, you litterally have to bait your opponent (on the exception of Tager and possibly Hakumen) If you make any wrong moves with Bang you can be easily punished for massive counter damage, makes Bang a bit harder to use than most characters. This is why I would rate him as an 8, or a 7.

He seems to be fairly easy to pick up and mess around with. By that I mean sitting in training mode and learning his combos wasn't too hard. However, actually playing well with bang took me (is still taking me) a while to get used to. Since you have to utilize pressure and mixups, if you are new to fighting games like I am those concepts are pretty hard to grasp. So, it doesn't help when your main is all about that. You don't have any spammable moves to help you win. You really have to either create your openings or wait for that perfect moment to retaliate. I'd say he's about a 7 or 8. Its why I love the guy tho.
