HurricaneDennis Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 lol WUT, i don't know how many times I've used FRKZ with a big life lead only to see it dwindle down before losing. hahaha.
AtTheGates Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 max damagermany footage. have mercy with me, it was 7 in the morning. Kyoshi Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I'm not sure if this is the right section but here goes. I realized that I haven't been using the command throw often enough. I really feel like I should use it more. So, My question is when's a good time to throw it out? Besides randomly of course XP.

I usually either do an empty jump oki and command throw, or do a pressure string then do 5A/2A into 623C.
10stars Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I usually either do an empty jump oki and command throw, or do a pressure string then do 5A/2A into 623C. Empty jump oki isn't that good, if you play a skilled opponent or someone with sense they know they can backdash anything from the air with ease or just jump and block to avoid a high low or throws. bangs j.c sure isn't like baiken for oki.
zeth07 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Nice stuff. The 2A-5C stuff seemed to be really effective for you. Also that tech trap stuff is something I need to add into my game. Awesome matches, especially the perfect.
10stars Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I'm actually surprised the ragna player didn't pick up on the tech traps earlier.
Strider Chipp Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 what he means is (i guess) BnB combo in 2C,6D, tigerknee command throw. only works in the corner. Yes thats what I mean. How do you pull it off It's a pretty good for mix-up moves because honestly I'm using the same BNb combos the basic one over over and again.
AtTheGates Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 cuongster doesn't really play blazblue, only ocasionally in the arcades. it's impressive he got so far in the first place (which also has to do with naoki being dead tired). it's guilty gear basics i say. everybody who was good in guilty gear is instantly good in blazblue, at least here.
Reioumu Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Man WUT, you've gotten a lot better. Though wow, you've finally changed your voice to Japanese and DORA colors!? What madness is this!?
WUT Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I haven't gotten alot better, or any better for that matter. I just get lucky and I'm able to be consistent every now and then. That just happened to be one of the times, lol. If you really want to see some business going down I'll need to upload some vs. Tager. I don't like uploading replays where I completely dominate though; they aren't particularly interesting and don't showcase anything except that Americans can't guard. Japanese voices were explained in another thread, and Dora color is mostly because I don't want to bother choosing from the list. I normally alternate og bang and Dora color, with some white shadow mixed in. Yay for default button colors.

I don't remember you playing like this before
bluedevil5 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3-tpk31qEs Vid I had up as a replay on XBL. Someone was nice enough to put it on youtube. The end of the second round is super gay but lol, as I knew ice swords were coming but crossed him up, hence death by ice car. Moral of the story: Lol autoguards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE5Dgxn1kRY Pretty old one of Jiyuna vs. Dora as well. I'd forgotten about this match... that's my youtube, I'm using youtube as a archive because I hit the replay limit, the *** i use to mark matches that are awesome. I was wondering why the views on those suddenly shot up though lol.
AtTheGates Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 saw that vid of wut vs. the jin just now, very impressive, man. you got the d.2B link and went all fancy with 6C anti air -> iad.j.D ^^
Walrus Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Good shit Wut. I still can't land that d.2B timing yet. Would love to play you on XBL sometime though. But what was up with that Bang Install? lol

I was wondering why the views on those suddenly shot up though lol. Well I still appreciate the upload regardless. Don't have equipment or I'd be putting my matches up for everyone to laugh at.

That link is hella hard.

Rhyllis Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 i need some pointers on using an arcade stick with bang, have just upped a video of playng with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFj-ksVcafM there are other bang videos on my youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/Fr6nk3nst31n comments/contructive critisim are welcome Right now the most important thing I can suggest is learning how to block. I admit I didn't watch your hand inputs, mainly because I don't have an arcade stick myself so I didn't want to get confused. I notice when you were under pressure you liked to try and use Bang's drive attacks to escape. That worked pretty okay against that opponent, but against someone that's decently good it will cost you the entire match. If you are under attack you need to block patiently until you either see an opening to counter, or until you see a way to escape (This comes with practice; the more you play the more you understand the opponent's combos and know how and when to block, and also when you can attack). Your attempts at using Bang's drive attack to counter that player's combos was costing you a lot of health because, had you been blocking patiently, you could have stopped his combos very early. Instead since you tried to use your own attack to counter him but he hit you first a few times, he got to restart the combo over and over until you were successful in landing a drive. Lastly, I wouldn't barrier burst so early. I personally do not barrier burst until I know the enemy will be able to kill me in whatever combo they have me in. In some cases it's okay to burst early, but in general it's better to save it until you have no other choice. There's a little more you could practice on, but right now I think learning defense is the most important thing. Don't want to try and cram too much in at once. Good luck with your efforts!
ShoMeYaMoves Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Made an Astral Heat vid while bored the other day, hope you enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0NGGpFPyr8
zeth07 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Made an Astral Heat vid while bored the other day, hope you enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0NGGpFPyr8 There is some pretty funny stuff in there. Is it possible to Astral Heat somebody after the match is over? I don't think i've seen a video of that happening. Like maybe if a CH 2D killed someone and you were able to get out the Astral anyway, so they would have to sit through that whole thing even after they were already dead......
iw2ma Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 can you do that with anyone? I know with NOEL if you do her AH combos, but kill the the hit before, it doesn't happen. and Tager after spark bolt too just falls

Sounds like it's not possible to Astral someone if they are already dead.
