ShoMeYaMoves Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om8BRRFx2kA - pretty good Bang v Arakune, vid. does anyone have any idea who the bang is? He does an interesting corner comb and ch. j.a to j.d! Not much beyond that, but still pretty cool. I liked that pressure string at the end as they were falling.
AtTheGates Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 im 99% sure that this is nezu. everybody should watch those vids, i found the corner combo in round 3 to be especially nice: 2D CH (while arakune falls down from an air tech in the corner), j.D,j.2369C, \/, 6C,dj.D, \/, 2B,6C, j.B,j.C,j.623B, the usual ara ender. didn't know you could relaunch him with 6C,j.D in the corner. 3655 damage. also, the way he ends the last round is pretty cool, RCing his j.C, then alternating shuris and hits until he lands. i RC j.C a lot in situations like this, but this is another level. edit: the other vids (one of them doesn't have nezu, but the rest does): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1TQYGAd3Yc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8_MhBmgV1g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG5r9g50Fdo
Ross Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSUIOZLLaic more videos have been posted from the same two on two. This one is special because Nezu(or whoever) shows any hit on tager is at least 2 seals if not 3. Against Tager this is definitely good because as long as your good at controlling yourself in Bang Install, you basically get a free win after you activate. Just make sure you do a good job at controlling the flow unlike he did that one round where he ran into everything and died, probably needed more glide A nail for cover. Edit: hmm just watched the rest. Stupid clap.
AtTheGates Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 thx for the update, fellow yellow bang there are a lot of 2-4 seal combos against tager in the combo thread, you can j.D after 2C into the tager ender (= 2 seals), and against standing tager, 3 seals are standard.
Ross Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 yeah I need to go back and read the combo thread again, to make sure I get all my situationals down. Cause right now I just do the same two combos over and over again. Also yay yellow bang!
Maker Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 As a Rachel player (all be it i still consider myself only barely decent) I am actually considering tumping Hakumen down to a second and rachel for bang as a main. The cahracter has some issues were all aware of for the most part but i actually like the challenge of playing him. That being said id lump him in with Rachel for difficulty of learning. he may not have a totally abstract drive, but Bang is a very toolish character that you dont see to often. He takes every match differently and for hte most part has the tools to do so. Rachel on the other hand tries to fight each match the same. Think of it as two ends of the same spectrum. One based on a rock solid game, the other based on a fluidity of mind. Edit: What i think the idea of these are is for new players to take a quick look at, and find if they've found a character to start with that is easy to use. Or atleast to knwo what level of frusturation and practice they need to get up to decent levels of play. Or atleast thats what i assumed.

Stevercakes Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Hello all. I've just recently started playing some BlazBlue and i've picked up Bang. I also record pretty much all my ranked matches and upload them. You can check them out here. http://www.youtube.com/user/Stevercakes A good one where I get destroyed was against this other bang player Unholy Bane... not sure if he's on here... but yeah, I lost bad =( [Video] Hope you enjoy my videos... i'll be adding more as I go along.
ShoMeYaMoves Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Working on the new Rapid Cancel vid, any favorites anyone wants me to put in? I'm making this one more centric on setting up okizeme than max damage.
zeth07 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 This was the video that was posted by Rei: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yq9lg0Ri4c&feature=channel_page What was up with the symbols (I'm guessing the Furinkazan symbols) coming up at the end up the videos? My only guess would be maybe it does that in the Arcade and Dora has it set to Arcade settings.....Or does anyone else know what was up with that? I haven't personally played it in the Arcade or changed it to arcade mode to know if that was the case. happens if you get a perfect on the last round. I want to revisit this question I had. I still haven't seen this, and I think I had a match that I had a perfect in the last round and it didn't happen. So does it still happen randomly? In one of my recent matches I actually got a Perfect in the Final round of a best of 3 rounds and the symbols didn't pop up but I did that win pose. The only thing the person did was Barrier Burst but i'm pretty sure that didn't cause any damage and I did get a perfect in the status screen at the end. I'm almost positive that i've gotten a perfect in the 2nd round after winning the 1st round as well and had it not happen either (even though this was what happened with the rounds in the match link.) So is it still a random thing even if you do get a perfect in the "last" round, or are there stipulations that I don't know about? Like maybe they have to be Ranked matches, since I only do Player matches?
ShoMeYaMoves Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Well, for 6B, even if they block, when you RC it, you can do j.A which will hit them on block or with CH them. On some characters, if you 6B RC then j.A 2B. The j.A whiffs, and the 2B still combos, meaning you can still do the super crash combos, or even into Daifunka. After experimenting a bit with this, you can actually do j.B right out of the 6B RC as well. I tried all the combos I could find off of the j.A and j.B directly after the RC and they don't do as much damage as the standard 6B RC>2B>623B>whatever. Although, I'll be damned if 6B>RC>j.A/j.B>5A>5B>j.A>j.B>j.A>j.B>623B isn't a flashy as hell combo.

If the 6b was guarded and you guard break with the following air normal, j.b initially prorates more (95% for j.a vs. 80% for j.b). This is also true if you're using a high to guard break off of a bumper or bang install dash. The only benefit j.b has over j.a in those instances is its lower hotbox, allowing you to guard break litchi/Noel/Tao when j.a will merely whiff against them.
WUT Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Since I'm both lazy and forgot about these: http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F/profile?user=MidwestFightingGames&client=mv-google A channel with some vids of my scrubby bang at a ranbat. Note that jack g and I have played quite a bit, so the usual bang mixup is rather ineffective at that point.
ShoMeYaMoves Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Done with this iteration of the RCs. Hopefully a bit better than the last one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVascDtk9Vg
WUT Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Alright this is bugging me. Set training mode dummy to block first hit and do a dashing 5b into either 6a or 5c, 623b, then try to do the d.2b followup. I cannot get that d.2b for the life of me, even though I can do it from a plain 6a/5c or gatling'd from an A normal into said mixup. I can do it from j.4c too, or from a 5a, 5b, 2b Gatling. I just can't get it from 5b, mixup. Tried it on both litchi and Noel. Just wanting to know if anyone else can do it or if the pushback is too much.
Reioumu Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Bang Bumper combos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb7AJrmsvg0 Made this in one night to kill boredom. I'll always be looking for more shenanigans to use. I thought the A-nail glide one was the funniest though. Especially starting a combo with A-nail? WTF!? Though the last bit I put in there, pay attention to the heat. it's perfect <3

Stray Inu Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 You can see the damage just fine for the most part. You just have to watch the combo gauge. That last bit was 8,019 starting with 0 heat.

Rhyllis Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I don't know if I should link to all my BlazBlue videos or just my account, so I'll do the latter since it's easier. http://www.youtube.com/user/RhyllisLive -- Soon to be better than ALL of you! Well maybe not you. Most of the videos are of my Gen in SF IV, but lately I've been feeling confident enough to post BlazBlue ones as well. Comments and critique would be very appreciated.

Yeah, the numbers are very clear. I was just too lazy to add them, and forgot to take off Regenerate for all of it except for 1 combo. But yeah. I'm gonna add some more when I discover them. Also, for all of my vids, I try to get Hot-blooded music for Bang!

There was one that looked like part of the end of a prism music vid of litchi but still awesome seeing it again.
Browncoat3 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Done with this iteration of the RCs. Hopefully a bit better than the last one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVascDtk9Vg Good job with the combos ShowMeYaMoves. I especially liked the 6C 623B RC etc. combos. Flashy as hell, not too tough to pull off and fairly practical.
Reioumu Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Wow that bumper combo was amazing there. There was one that looked like part of the end of a prism music vid of litchi but still awesome seeing it again. Actually, I used all of the combos in the Litchi prism vid and more . I don't think a lot of Bangs would watch Litchi combo vids for Bang stuff. The ending to that video was an amazing bumper play that starts off of a 6D. But these bumper combos work off of normal BnBs and definitely expand his play and mixup options, giving him more viable 50/50s and making him overall faster.
