Qaenyin Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdZP4PjAT1Q With this added in the console version there's no longer a reason not to use FRKZ whenever it's available.
mrpibbs23 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Well if you have an option to turn off the theme, I think it'd make a big difference. Though if you can't I suppose it would be a good tool to annoy your opponent, that assuming you can tolerate it yourself. I don't think i'll be able to, but who knows, maybe in time you'll just tune it out
Eji1700 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I really really hope to see a high level bang in a final round of a major tourney hit the FRKZ. I think i'd die laughing.
SSMugen Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I really really hope to see a high level bang in a final round of a major tourney hit the FRKZ. I think i'd die laughing. You act like if it's the same as killing someone with DI as Sol in GGAC
Nerok Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 You act like if it's the same as killing someone with DI as Sol in GGAC ^this. Anywho, does FRKZ cause ordinary or extra amounts of chip damage?
solshido Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ^this. Anywho, does FRKZ cause ordinary or extra amounts of chip damage? a dont think it does extra chip damage but it should be enough to knock ur oppenents back a couple of matches
Angrynord Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Heh, FRKZ time outs (Ã la Dora vs Buppa) just got way funnier, if not downright epic.
Eji1700 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 The main point of my post was more about the hilarious theme music, which DI tragically lacks, than the actually viability of FRKZ in a competitive setting. That said it seems like FRKZ won't be useful vs the current top 3. The downsides it brings against arakune, rachel, and Nu make it seem like near suicide which is a shame because it does seem to make a wonderful tool in damn near every other one of his matchups.
Nerok Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 a dont think it does extra chip damage but it should be enough to knock ur oppenents back a couple of matches Though going PURE offensive is the only way to use FRKZ other than running (lawl) knocking someone back...say....Nu would be rather hard to do, POSSIBLE but extremely frustrating I would presume. Probably going to be told, NEVER go into FRKZ when you are fighting a very good/decent v-13.
klbklbklb Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Note to self: Bursting when Arakune hits me for the first time = insta-loss
Tempered Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Though going PURE offensive is the only way to use FRKZ other than running (lawl) knocking someone back...say....Nu would be rather hard to do, POSSIBLE but extremely frustrating I would presume. Rampage Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Epic theme is epic. To bad it sounds like it's a bad idea to use in most situtations.
SSMugen Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Epic theme is epic. To bad it sounds like it's a bad idea to use in most situtations. I wouldn't say that. Remember in a few days we can really get into the good stuff for this game so keep those fingers crossed. But for now the usefulness Furinkazan is dependent on you as a player more than anything else.
DaiAndOh Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Epic theme is epic. To bad it sounds like it's a bad idea to use in most situtations. Some characters it's horrible against, but most you just have to learn how to use it then go crazy
10stars Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I highly advise against using it against any character that has a DP.
WUT Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I highly advise against using it against any character that has a DP. Or you can just autoguard the DP and enjoy some tasty combo, ala Dora.
Dr. Stormlocke Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 I'm going to try and break this shit like Robo Ky's Det. Mode. Nezu is already playing Bang, and despite the fact that Bang is not a Robot, I'm not really left with a choice. Hooray for gimmicks.
Mad Tea Party Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Sounds like a race challenge to me, Stormlocke. Just think of this mode as Trans Am and you might be able to think you're a robot. I'll see you at the broken finish line.
DaiAndOh Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Or if you guys like super robots, I've always compared it to New Gaiking's Face Open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psAMCrBilao Glad to hear your on our side for now Mr. Stormlocke!

Qaenyin Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U158VC5u6kk&feature=channel_page When _not_ to FRKZ
Nerok Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U158VC5u6kk&feature=channel_page When _not_ to FRKZ He could of Actually used FRKZ to avoid it, he just went straight in the line of fire.
mrpibbs23 Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Wow Qae, that indeed was a bad, BAD use for FRKZ. I agree w/ Nerok, the guy should have just moved out of the damn way
Nerok Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Well that and the fact he got Astral Finished, I wont even have Astral Heats on when I play. But still he could of dashed up and around instead of just straight 6-6 *caught*
