This match can swing into his favor at anytime if he can land something. I just lost to 3 different Tagers in a row. Right when I think I have an almost guaranteed hit, the game lagged for a split second, my dash never came out and I die.

I noticed that most tagers are doing tick grabs now, so if he ever does a 5a and that low kick he does... Jump.. Or else you'll be eating a 360.

When I fight Sho as Tager he breaks my guard fast with tiger knee d nails and then keeps momentum for the rest of the match usually. Oki the fuck out of this dude. Can't wait for 11 guard primer jesus christ o-o.

rei-Scarred Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 How do you beat Tager's blockstring: 5D Bsledge AAAA repeat? I've tried 6D and 5D on the As and both with circle teleports still get me caught with the next 5A. I've seen Sho 5D sledge but everytime I try it I get CH. Do you need an IB?

rei-Scarred Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Uh, I noticed a while ago that certain basic tech traps e.g. 623B -> d.5B -> trap don't seem to work on Tager. Is Tager's air tech huge? It does kind of look like after air teching he doesn't end up in the same spot as any other character would be after a tech. I noticed this happens with Rachel, too. Yeah, just wondering the SCIENCE behind it.
iw2ma Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Ya I noticed that too, when I attempt the trap after 5B or really any of the others, he techs HIGH making you dash under him. I've almost given up on trying however on rare occasions I still land it. But that block string is really something I have to pay attention on who i'm playing. Normally at the beginning I can IB and beat him out of whatever he does (aside from 360/720) and get good damage, but if I do that then the 360/720's start up afterwards making it a guessing game I hate to play. Even worse is if you just blocked it and they 360/720 you can break the grab, but if you IB then you're out of stun and now it's a confirmed grab......

RushDownScrub Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Fun instance of a glitch: If you go into FRKZ and throw daifunka just before Tager's tech wheel, his invinc frames will go off, there will be a one hit clash, and then you can dash away. This has only happened twice, but it looks ridiculous if done right, plus you can REALLY punish afterwards. Sure fifty heat is wasted, but the fact that you can out run something after a clash hit is awesome. You will porbably get a negative penalty for it though... =(

If he spams A he will ch you and you can easily recover but if he tries anything else most likely you will land the command throw and get about 3k damage right off the start...or you will just kick the shit outta him and send him flying. The risk is if he back dashes then grabs you...cuz in that situation... You WILL wiff and take a throw from SCIENCE!

You would be suprised how many tagers fall for it. I land the grab about 8 outta 10 times. Give this a try next time...first round super jump back throw a poison shiruken then set two bumpers when u land. Then win the match or whatever...then round 2 try my little command grab trick since they most likely assume ur gonna jump back again. I can guarantee if u try this a few times it will work. Now if they backdash then your gonna eat some damage, but it feels so good when you hear REBEL ONE ACTION!...SHINKU REPU!
zeth07 Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 That's because it is online. Offline that command throw will get broken probably 99.9% of the time unless the person is completely brain dead. And if you hit him with 6C anyway you could go for a combo that will probably break 3k so doing the command throw after hitting 6C would be pretty stupid in that regard.
