I picked Ragna right away, pretty much before I even saw videos of the way he played. Plus, having played Sol in GG - it was just an obvious choice.

Later on though, I also started playing with Hakumen just because I thought he was amazingly cool. Loved his faceless mask and massive sword. Awesome <3

For CS, I might try my hand at Hazama and Valk - again just because I think they're awesome~!

the only reason i even started playing this game was because i saw videos of nu back in CT shooting swords everywhere.

just "woah i want to be that cool sword shoot"

i've been exploring the rest of the roster lately so I can't really say anything about mains with confidence :s

For BlazBlue, I started with Noel and was ok, but then tried Nu. It was the sound of 2C, 3C, 6C, j.C & j.2C that made her my main (and Lambda by default). Weird, I know.

Guilty Gear... I hadn't played the game until years after hearing about it, but I instantly recognized May and I switch between her and Jam

Picked Tsubaki as my main after playing Jin on CT, she's just too much fun to play. charge cancelling is fun to do and her combos look flashy and are easy enough to put together.

Also, unblockable shenagians :keke:

Mu12's Stein placement and traps are up to you, there's really no set formula, full-screen control and pressure are very attractive when used creatively. I find her tools to be very versatile and multipurpose. You can go through every match with a different Stein formation depending on the opponent's style of play. Very glad they're refocusing the character in BBCS2.

Pretty much this. Plus I love her character and how pissed off she sounds when she fights. :D

im a really ageressive player so i leaned toward Haku due to seriously damaging combos but Valk came out and unlike Haku hes not limited to magatama. plus hes a muthafuckin werewolf yo

Why Tager? Because trolling people with GETB is way too awesome. Also LOL I TECH TRAP U

Why Hazama? Because smooth criminal and because of jap VA.

I tend to play as girl characters in fighting games, still, Imai Asami is the best japanese voice actress EVER.

I started out as the typical Noel spammer who thought he had a natural born talent for the game. Then I started using A-11 a lot in ranked matches, I sucked a lot but I kept playing. Then I figured, if I'm using her so much might as well get good with her. So I completely dropped Noel and picked up A-11.

Then I picked up Ragna because I was sick of only knowing one character. Eventually I plan on learning Rachel, Tao, Litchi, and getting a solid non-spammish Noel.

Randomly picked Nu (V-13) and now sticking with her to the bitter end. Even if she gets downgraded to Lambda /\-11 or any in the future I will still play her. The sword summons is just so cool!

Carl is by a long shot the most interesting 2D Fighter Sprite concept. So I keep him aside even though am hardly efficient with him plus he has a top hat!

I mained Ky and Jam in Guilty Gear... so naturally I saw Jin and tried him first. I didn't really find anyone I thought was similar to Jam in Calamity Trigger, but later Makoto was semi-similar I guess.... and I just somehow really liked Nu in Calamity Trigger.... then Mu was better for me in Continuum Shift so I picked Nu.

I started with Jin in CT because freezing people I thought would be annoying to many people, then I found ice car and well rest is history.

Cs Jin since well only one I really could use besides Noel, then moved to hakuman due to tagers beating me senseless, and then Valkin was more so since his zoning skills helped me against certain match ups.( Hazama mainly)

I was suppose to play Jin when I was playing CT for the first time because I liked how his moveset was almost like ryu/ky's moveset, however, I accidently picked Ragna. I started to play with him more because I'm used to playing easy-to-use type characters.

I saw a Hazama combo vid shortly after the release of CS and was pretty keen to try him out. I never played CT, and ended up not liking the playstyles of characters I expected to like (e.g. Litchi), so yeah, the rest is history. I did everyone's first two challenges before making up my mind.

Edit: As for Makoto, I couldn't say no to a hottie with Slayer-inspired juggles.

I first tried CT at a convention, and immediately chose Rachel, because she seemed the most interesting to me. Later I bought CS, and now I play both Rachel and Hazama, because he wears a suit, tie, and fedora, and the fact that he trolls everyone is a nice bonus.

In CT I went straight for Noel and Rachel. Noel because I liked her outfit and she has teh guns. Rachel because gothic loli.

Aaaaand in CS those very characters got kinda crap. So I started experimenting with the other characters and eventually settled on Valkenhayn and Makoto. Lambda, Mu, Litchi and Ragna make up my subs, though I'm slowly learning how to not suck with Hazama.

In CT, I first started playing litchi because I typically play female characters (I'm weird like that). Then I switched to Tao because I liked her fast pace and mix-ups with her drive. Finally a few months before CS came out I was watching I saw videos of Hazama and I immediately knew that he would be my sub if not my main since he looked cool and the chains. A few months after the game came out I stuck with Haz and dropped Tao since I didn't want to learn the taunt loop.

Picked Tao initially during CT, but she was a little bit fast for me, so I played around with other chars that looked easy to use (Bang, Noel). Didn't really like any of those, so I decided to try Litchi, and surprisingly she isn't as difficult to use as I thought at first. Her corner-rape in CT was also fun beyond words.

Stuck with her since then, through ups (CS1) and down (not yet, but hopefully she never ends up in Z tier).
