advancedNoob Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 At lower levels he is lame as shit, since nearly every hit can lead to loads of damage and most of his combos are easy.
Rhiya Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 You need to have half an understanding of pressure for Rags to be even remotely scary, though. He isn't ezmodo. I think, in terms of charas that piss people off, Tao is high. Good damage, stupid good neutral, most people have negative matchup experience against her and don't know how to deal. And dat voice.
Kind Polar Bear Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I pretty much used every character until I found one I enjoyed playing as which was Arakune.
Nini Heart Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 You know what I mean though right? Like a character that fustrates by playing. Mu eh yeah I hear that. But Ragna ? I thought he was very offensive. Almost all characters in this game have something that frustrates people. But in that sense of the word lame, it would have to be Kune who most closely resembles the lameness of Sim and Guile. Kune or Tao
Hamakusa Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Story Mode... I was in love with Ragna's Personality at first sight! *-*
the_difinitive Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 i main tager. originally i mained hakumen because i play super smash bros. melee and when you're a noob hakumen plays almost exactly like marth does in melee, so it landed me easy wins within my group of friends who all knew nothing because i could just space C moves ftw. however after actually buying a copy of blazblue and finding out about the competitive techniques i decided that tager had the most hilarious gimmicks and troll tactics. now when i play games i always ALWAYS just play to troll (making stupid themed teams in pokemon, dropping combos by taunting in the middle, spamming the one stupid looking move over and over until it lands etc etc), i don't really care about winning to win, i just want to win because that means the other player didn't. so considering i <3 trolling tager seemed like the most logical choice. <3 you all
I Have A Name Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I originally started out with Bang, but after a while I switched gears to Tager. I liked Tager much better because he has to rely on psychology and know what the opponent will do next to get his damage. Also, Tager trolling is fun.
GNkyrios Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 a friend of mine told me about this game, he said "its from the creators of guilty gear" wich i used to play (like a newbie but i still liked it), so i picked up the game, saw all the characters and one of them caught my attention, a white samurai-cyborg character with a mask on his face, so i picked him, and i had no idea how to do anything, or why i couldnt do specials sometimes, when i did more research on him i noticed it would be too complex to start with, so i picked ragna for a short time but i grow a pair and decided to learn to use Hakumen for real, and he introduced me to play fighting games like you are supposed to
DOSNiNE Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) I don't really have a main (looking for a character to troll with), but I do however play Mu12 for the simple reason... DAT :s:! Edited April 5, 2011 by Circuitous
winter_k Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Currently maining Tager because he seems to lack the hellish execution curve that a lot of the other characters seem to have. I alt Tao, because her gameplay is fun. Thinking of alt'ing Nu or Jin, just for the feel of being able to move around the screen/throw projectiles. It makes a change from being the grapple-tank.
SGTDiphthong Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I roll Noel, mostly because she is extremely easy to play as. Seriously. I mean, sure, other stuff came into consideration. I think she's pretty attractive. I like her character. Etcetera. I sub Rags for pretty much the same reason. He's easy to play as. Not the attractive part. :O
Avion892 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I remember being extremely indecisive with picking (as I usually am), but eventually I settled on Arakune because I really liked his character design. It was unique and his moves looked cool; he was totally different, and blobs are cool. I really liked his personality and back story - a scientific genius who goes insane and loses his body in pursuit of ultimate knowledge. His crazy laugh and incoherent babbling were infectious and I quickly grew to love the little squiggly guy. Being top tier didn't hurt, and anyone who can get Litchi to fall for him has to be awesome. I ended up subbing Nu because for some reason comboing with swords felt very fun and satisfying. Plus, she was also top tier and that's always a nice bonus. I've since picked up Ragna as well since playing zoner characters gets boring sometimes, and personally I find him fun to play as.
AcidLambda Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Ever since picking up Calamity Trigger (on the same visit to Gamestop when I returnd SF4), I've just been in love with flinging swords around with Nu/Lambda. Since then, I've come to enjoy playing the rest of the cast as well- but god, I love mashing D.
kraken Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 When I first got BB:CT I tried all the characters in random vs matches, Litchi was the only one I felt comfortable to play with, other characters movesets and playstyles felt either too random or too restrictive.
LadyRequiem Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 In CT I've tried with all the characters and at first I liked playing Tao, but then I got a bit annoyed with her fighting style. She was just too fast for me (and I usually like playing as fast characters). So I got used to playing as Noel and Nu and I kind of fell in love with their fighting styles. Once CS came out I tried out Hazama and now he's my main with Lambda and Noel as my subs. I just love his trolling ass :D
Sandvich11 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I picked Hazama because I like guys in suits (and trolling)
Lunar_Divider Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I main Hazama. Though originally in BBCT I mained Tao, then after about 2000 matches I realised I wasn't very good with her so I switched to Bang. As my main Bang carried over to BBCS until Makoto came out. I mained Makoto until Valkenhayns release. I never got very good at Makoto's drive combos and I was always interested in Hazama so I tried him out. I automatically played him like he had been my main all along and a week later I got down his SB timing down.
solidusfox1 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Even before it came out, I had my eyes set on Bang, I like fast and aggressive characters. When I played him it felt good, but the more I played with him, I realized how frustrating he really was and switched to Tager. He seemed interesting and tanks usually wasn't my forte. But when I played him, I really enjoyed it so he became my main. This carried over in CS. After Valkenhayn got available I switched over to him, because I really like anything with wolves. I really enjoyed his play style, fast and agressive. So I switched my main to VA and subbed TA.
Spring_Raid Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Started using Tsubaki as my main after I stopped caring about how terrible she was and just played the character I like. I'll also play Jin as my sub, since I liked him in CS
Rainbro Dash Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Jin's VA drew me in so quickly, then realised he had everything design wise I thought was cool, ice magic/swords, mained from day one of CT without a second thought xD although Tao's slowly creeping up...
arachel Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Main : Platinum, Rachel Rachel was my first character. I think she looks awesome. I bought Platinum the day she's out cause she's just plain awesome. Hmm I see a pattern here. Edited May 12, 2011 by arachel
Gnosis13 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I tried everybody and stuck with the two characters I didn't completely suck with.
Shitty Vampire Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I photoshopped all the portraits into squares that completely filled up an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, printed it out then proceeded to masturbate furiously until I ejaculated on the paper. The characters my semen landed on were the characters I'd get good with. This is how I decide most things actually.
Fafy Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 At first I picked Jin because I really really like ice. Then I started getting a bit into Tager back in my CT days. Then CS came out, and I heard Tager wasn't entirely bottom. Then CS2 happened, Tagers back to bottom, and I went back to my favorite ice car.
