How'd you pick your main?

I picked my main out by how I feel at the moment. I like unorthodox and weird characters I.e- Platinum, since she's cute xD Or Makoto since she's also sexy @_@ and has a tail. And Ragna because he's just freakin' cool....

I mained Rachel, jin and Hakumen in CT, but Rachel got nerfed, and I lost all motivation. So, in CS2, I can only mentally handle 3 characters, and chose these guys. I was thinking of grabbing Trollzama....but he plays too weird for my style.

I main Makoto because I mostly only Main Female Characters(Robo-Ky is an exception) And she's one of the best characters in the game. Mu-12 because I got "End of the world as we know it" stuck in my head while playing the BBCS Final Story.

As far as GG is concerned, Robo-Ky because of just how powerful he is, and Baiken because Samurais

Some criterion that I personally use when selecting a character:

1. Female.

2. Looks awesome/fanservice-filled.

(and so... DoA:Ayane, SC4:Amy, T6:Alisa, SF4:Juri, and GG:Dizzy)

For Blazblue:

CT: Nu-13 - her floating swords made me think of Gundam SEED, and she looked awesome. I would've chosen Litchi, but Nu's flying swords appealed to me more. I wanted to choose Rachel, but I thought she was too difficult to learn (and I didn't know about Dustloop then).

CS: Mu-12 - the badass look of Nu-13, but with MORE FANSERVICE!! A HUGE plus is that her fighting style seemed very complex due to the stein placement, thus I'll be able to say that BB/GG/Aksys games>Other FGs, since BB and GG are like Fighting+Strategy games, and that each character is VERY unique.

Bought a PS3 and a Fightstick, and now I play on PSN every day, just because she appeared.

My first main started with Tager in CT, coming from SC4 Astaroth. After going through CT's and CS's story mode Makoto caught my attention (and obviously the fan service:toot:), so I had to try her out. I started to really enjoy her play style and she became the first character I've taken seriously to be good with since Falco from SSB:Melee

Started with Hakumen cause he's a bamf in ct, then did story mode & saw Makoto & wished for her to be in the next game. Then I learned her birthday was the same date as mine so that was a huge plus

I picked Lambdy because I had Nu in CT.

When I first got CT, I wasn't too interested in it-- my sister was more interested. It wasn't until I actually picked up BB that I really got interested. I saw Nu with her Murakumo and thought she looked pretty cool. So I just mained her.

I actually picked up Tsubaki because my sister made a pretty good combo. I picked up that combo and expanded on it. So I just decided to sub her since I already had something for her.

Huh...I didn't know other people called Lambda, Lambdy...well I spell it Lambdi, but ya know.

Anyway, I...I dunno how I chose Hazama. I liked his look, and his character, but when I first picked him up, I hated him. I didn't get him and was like 'wow he sucks, I'm sticking with Tager'. Well, for one reason or another, I just kept going back to Hazama. I guess I wanted to figure him out or something...and to an extent I did. I'm not great with him, and even calling myself good might be stretching it, but I'm...competent with him. Valk I just liked. Plus gotta keep the class in my cast.

Well for me... when i saw CT the very first match and characters i saw was Jin vs. Noel on G4 tv as a preview demonstration for the game and i thought wow....they look awesome! I personally thought noel was really cool cuz she caught my attention with the gun fighting style so i picked her and ever since then i mained noel from CT to CS2 through the ups and downs with her with the hates and everything. Another reason is me and noel are very alike in wat we like or dislike and hobbies so i felt a connection and said yeah i guess noel was meant for me lol XD

When I got CT I played Jin for a long time. It was my first real fighting game, and he seemed easy enough. Also he's insane and uses ice so that's kinda sex. Then I picked up Ragna because I'm a boring person. Played him through CS1 and 2.

Then I slapped myself in the face and went back to Jin. I like that he's got an answer to every situation pretty much. Coming off Ragna -- it was nice not having to close the gap between me and my opponent every time there was one. So Jin.

I choose Hakumen because of his Zanshin. The only fighting game I had ever played before was Dead or Alive 2, and there I just spammed counter holds all the time so, being able to that was a big plus.

He also has two of the most awesome moves in the game:

- Yukikaze, which counters anything and looks awesome.

- 2D, which is a FRICKIN' FOOT GRAB. Hakumen can grab 550 kg Tager with his toes and throw him!

I chose Platinum because beating the crap out of overly serious characters like Jin with a Magical Loli is what dreams are made of. The moment I saw her character select art on a leak, my face lit up with joy.

I picked Tager when I realized that he was apparently the worst in CT. I don't know about CS, but, I've always picked the chars that people always trash talk.

Picked Hazama cause he is waaaaayyyy to stylish to pass up

i found out about BB while messing around youtube and found a video called "Gale". shit happened and i instantly feel in love with Bang. his nails are fun, his screams are amusing and he has one fat hp bar for a Ninja and fastest character in the game. these days however i am using Ragna more because, sadly, his playstyle fits me more then Bang PLUS we have a similiar personality. i main both but i use Ragna more often these days.

Picked Platinum because It's always fun to beat a top tier character with a low tier'ish character :D

Tsubaki. I picked her mainly because there isn't anything overly complex about her moves. Although right now I'm on the fence about changing my main to either Makoto or Valk because I noticed that during matches, I have a bad habit of not spending nearly enough time charging her Drive for more complex combos.

I went from Noel, to Mu, to Litchi after watching Lord Knight at EVO. Dunno, her moves just seem to be my style :D.

I picked Hazama because I liked his playstyle... Zoning and annoying enemy is the joy in my heart...

And Platinum may be my future main because I love beating the crack out of epic characters with a little loli-looking character.

I originally chose Noel because of the fighting style. Dual wielding guns is something I always thought was cool. Played her in CT, then when CS came out I tried out Tsubaki. She just clicked with me. Her moves were cool, her style was cool, I really liked her character design, not to mention he astral was all kinds of win lol. So I demoted Noel to sub status and gave Tsubaki her old position as main. Then CS2 came and Noel became semi automatic while Tsubaki only got better in my eyes so I dropped Noel completely.

In short, I went from blonde to red and NEVER WENT BACK.

Picked up CT for PC, played it casually, mained Noel (cause she was spammable). X)

Then I finally got a PSP, and got CSII, (since I don't have a PS3... Yet) and its the first fighting game I got serious with, stuck with Noel for a while... Then well. Hazama. He was the coolest of the bunch for me, and after committing like, 2-3 weeks of Challenge mode, dustloop threads and buppa's Hazama videos. Hazama is now my main. XD

I picked Jin because I like the cold and he controlled Ice so I main'd him.

Actually that was the only reason I brought BBCT in the first place.

I also Main Platinum The Trinity because she's just fun to play as.
