Whenever I choose who I want to main, I just have this thing about choosen a obvious main character, but looking back I think that was just everyone picking Ryu and Ken in Street Fighter IV, cause I was fine with Sakura and later Chun-Li. But looking at Blazblue, the two characters that intrigued me the most the more I watched them were Taokaka and Noel. When I finally got a chance to play, Taokaka was fun, but she was a bit tricky and low in the damage area, while Noel just sort of... rolled off my finger tips. Since then, I've been mainly playing Noel and learning how to play Jin, though I wouldn't mind going back to Taokaka sometime.

I mained Faust in GG, simply because he was the most "awesome" character, IMO. A giant doctor that can kill you by making a house call? hells yeah! BB really doesn't have a Faust-esque character, although Arakune and Litchi are pretty close, so I decided to roll with the "Sol-clone" till I found something I'd like, and that's when I met HIM in story mode... I am the white void. I am the cold steel. I am the just sword. With sword in hand shall I reap the sins of this world and cleanse it in the fires of destruction. I am Hakumen. The end has come! It's like someone gave Rorschach a No-Dachi<3

I chose Jin, because of his personality (which is very similar to my own), his awesome allroundish fighting & magic style, since I too do iaido/iaijutsu and I like ice as an element. Also, he's BB's Ky who is my main in GG, so he scored 15/10 for me.

You treat people who look out for you like crap and try killing them? :p

i loaeded it up and played through story line with all the characters to see which ones i liked. Arakune just felt the most natural to me. Litchi intrigued me so ive been lately but arakune totally stole my heart

I usually gravitate toward the women: Noel, then Rachel, then Litchi—exactly order how they were introduced during loc tests. Unfortunately, none of them clicked. :gonk:

Tried the others for a bit, and I found that I had the most fun with Carl and his sister when they were released. Sure, I got my ass beat countless times since I was learning how to negative edge (hated the mechanic initially, since I suck with Boxer), but it's so worth it seeing two characters beat down on someone. :v:

might also be a subconscious thing because I've noticed a lot of A.B.A. mainers use carl too :S

Yeah, funny that. I mained A.B.A too and ended up liking Carl.

I made a blood sacrifice to the Almighty Cthulu who made it rain blood for 7 days and nights, which I collected into an unholy dish and drank for sustenance. Afterwards I was recuired to kill no less then 50 cute, cuddly kittens and harvest their flesh as a writing surface. Finally a giant lightning storm appeared and struck my unholy altar and spelt out the name "NOEL". Lol jk, I orginally picked litchi because she seemed like a fun character to use. Plus I like staves. Unfortuantly she didn't click but while playing around with random while fighting my friend, I came across Noel and she was alot more fun to play. I also enjoy playing as Tager, so there you have it.

I was at CTF with a friend from Boston for a T6:BR tournament he had entered. I didn't join(terrible at Tekken), and just soaked in the atmosphere. During the times he was playing or MIA, I'd wander around and pick from the plethora of games. Disappointed that SCII was down, but saw BlazBlue and sort of went "Oh snap, that's the new Arc System Works games". Sat down after a Tager had relented from an hour of straight play, looked through the roster and saw Tao. My thoughts were instantly "Catgirl? Oh god, obligatory. I have to play her." And that was that.

I picked my character based on what little info was available in the instruction manual before I started playing... Noel ftw.

originally i used jin because he was fast and looking like he dealt hefty damage at a quick pace. as i started to play more i tried arakune, and found that his playstyle is incredibly unique and dynamic. thus i started playing him.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo was my first real fighting game experience and is the game where my basis for character selection comes from. I will, no matter the fighting game, select my main character based on whether or not they have a true Rekkaken. By true, I mean a 3 hit string of attacks that require three partitioned joystick motions accompanied by a button. None of that crap you saw in Street Fighter Alpha 3 with Karin's "Rekkas" or the fake stuff that Abel has in Street Fighter IV. I'm talking Fei Long from Super Street Fighter II, Iori Yagami from King of Fighters, A.B.A. and Chipp from Guilty Gear. My primary character in Guilty Gear was A.B.A. who, on top of having Rekkas, required you to learn spacing, allowed you to rush down, and had some pretty impressive Okizeme ability. So, when I picked up BlazBlue, I immediately thought to myself, "I'm going to choose the character who has Rekkakens who can control space and has crazy Okizeme." Just by the fact that Lichi has her Daisangen chain, I decided, "She will be my primary character." I love playing as her since I can rush my enemy down, run away if need be, and during it all, control the space and control my enemy when I knock them down; it's like I'm playing A.B.A. again except without the insane damage output. These traits to an extent carry over to Ragna, who I use as my secondary character. He might not have a Rekkaken in the traditional sense, but he's got it pretty close with all the followups he has to Hell's Fang, Gauntlet Hades, and especially the Inferno Divider. He sort of completes my set of played characters in BlazBlue, since I've got Litchi for spacing and utility and Ragna for A.B.A. tier damage. Besides, I played Sol as a secondary character in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, so I feel right at home here. :toot:

So you're bat shit insane some times, beat your subordinates other times, and have a brother you are crazily affectionate about to the point where your demeanor turns you into a twelve-year-old girl?

I always play the manliest character. Who also always ends up being a low tier character. I think I'm masochistic as a result.

It was a long time ago when I picked him as my main. I had just picked up a copy of #R, and I saw him in the character select screen. Standing there with his long sword, fine features and yellow hair, I just couldn't resist playing with him. His simple, straightforward playstyle suits me well. I'm glad Ky hasn't changed at all, all the way since the original GG to the current GG:CT

Eh, I change my main & sub all the time, I can't really stick to a set 2 characters. Though Ragna & Hakumen are definitely my favs, no doubt about it!!!!!:)

Usually I pick based on looks, but this time I started with Rachel because I learned the basics from a very good player at an arcade. I started playing Tao because I like her playstyle and character. I hate Carl, but after playing him as a joke with my friend I realized how amazing and fun Nirvana is (still hate Carl though).

I chose my main Arakune just cuz I was into the anime Soul Eater and he looked like the reaper so I was like suh-weet and then I changed to Noel later because I felt that the way she plays fits me so much better ^_^

I picked ragna at 1st since i was a decent sol, but lately ive only been playing with rachel basically because shes a beast.

Actually I do, except I don't outright try to kill them (well most of the time), but I do enjoy being mean, of course if someone really pisses me off (which is quite difficult to pull off) then I'm not above hurting them physically. Although everyone I know knows that I'm a sociopath and they shouldn't fuck with me (except my iaido master, who's a psycho too and always manages to out beat me). Maybe I'm lucky with the few friends I got this way, however I never regretted being like this even when I didn't have any, never liked pretending to play according to morals and shit.
