How'd you pick your main?

Nu because I mained Dizzy. First day I played was when a bunch of people from my college were playing it at the local arcade. They were trying to play characters that played like their mains in GG (or as they say)- 80% of them played Noel (lol: Bridget, Johnny, Testament, Robo-Ky?) and 1 person played Tao (Ino?). They suggested me to Nu because they had similar attacks.

Ice + Katana, it was decided before the game even came out, funny part is that everyone else was more sure than I was. xD "Light" is my favorite rpg element though, so I'm interested in picking up Miss Tsubaki, but Jin will stay my main.

Mained Tao because crazy awesome catgirl is crazy awesome. Then I played story mode and listened to Haku's epic pre battle speech, and picked him up as a secondary right away. When CS comes, though, I'll be maining Hazama, and yes, it's partly because he has that MJ vibe. *cue Smooth Criminal music*

When I watched footage of CT from japanese arcades I was like "I guess i'll pick that guy cause he's a ninja and I used chipp in GG" then I got the game and found out he sucked but I just played him anyway and after months in the hyperbolic time chamber actually got decent Tager as a sub was just an unlucky guess before I knew tiers =[

I saw a gothic lolita with a cat umbrella that could not only uppercut people, but it was buff and had an eye patch. That's how I decided on playing Rachel. CS I'll probably be playing Carl, Arakune, or Hazama in place of Rachel and wait for her to get better in the next game.

I picked noel because she reminded me of bridget. Shortly switched to Ragna. Played Story Mode and got the chance to play Noel again. I switched back in True End. Now, I'm good/decent with her =D

I picked Rachel simply because she was a vampire. Vampires are cool It was a nice bonus that she was voiced by Kana Ueda Jin, I just really liked how he played, his moves looked really cool, and his seiyuu was real good too.

Basically, to find a 'main' character, I spend a couple days with everyone on the roster and pick which ever one makes the most sense to me... I don't really look for anything in particular. Though, I do generally rule out grappler characters from the get-go because dammit, I need to be able to move.

Nu is like Dizzy... Dizzy's been my main since GGX so easy transition. That she's high tier is just a nice bonus after what happened to Dizzy in AC.

I really, really, really NEVER understood that comparison. Ever. Nu moves a bit like Dizzy, her defense is low and Dizzy's j.2S and Nu's j.2C are somewhat similar. But their fighting styles are basically entirely different. Meh, whatever.

In some ways she zoned you but more or less she would throw out attacks, rush in start pressuring you then her long ranged attacks she threw out a few seconds ago hit you and keep you in blockstun/keep comboing/make shit safe. Im not sure I have only played against dizzy's a few times but thats what it seemed like to me. She also had a good poke range and a crazy grab range. I was at first all Rachel awesome looks like a character from SWR in BB then I started playing her liked her style of play and all and I still do. Then I was playing online just to be silly and was like Im going to play the worst character and wreck people with him, with every round I liked him as a character more and more like the glasses, SCIENCE, and his design in general. I think what really won me over was his magnetism(its like rachels wind but it only moves the oppenent ) and his 720(coolest super). Next thing I knew I was playing with tager far more than rachel and was like whelp better stop kidding myself now.

My main is Noel atm. I havent been playing that long but from the video's I watched before I started she appeared to be the easiest to learn. From reading a bit it seems like Ragna and Jin are actually a bit more easy but I have to much time invested in Noel atm to just give up on her.

The two fighters I've played are sf4 and BB. Vega and Haku... low-tier epicness x_x but in honesty I started with arakune, at which point I could tell instantly I was scrubbing people out, and moved to a more down to earth character, haku~

I started with Ragna, went .

Moved to Rachel, went .

Moved to Nu, went .

Then decided I'd stick with the loli, since I liked her character design the most. Took a week or so to learn to play her, though, especially after switching from Nu.

So... I sorta went in the opposite direction at first. xD Went from mid-tier up to the top because I was all sorts of scrubby. I still am, mind, but at least I realize I can't actually play Nu well.

What's Dizzy's fighting style like?

Dizzy throws fish at you. Sometimes they bite, sometimes they shoot lasers, and sometimes they bite twice. While they are attacking you, she throws spears out and starts rushing you down under the cover of all of these delayed projectiles.

Anyway, Dizzy and Nu are similar from graphical perspectives, not gameplay ones.

1. Both are female

2. Both are like, between 0 and 3 years old.

3. Both Dizzy and Nu have "transformation" sequences

4. Both have "wing shaped thingies". (Angel/Demon for Dizzy, Mechanical Swords for Nu)

5. Excel at long-range Combat (in different ways)

6. Long hair

7. Both have the "Cute, Destroyer of Worlds" concept (Dizzy being a Gear, and Nu being half of the Black Beast)

8. Artistically, Armor / Costume is similarly shaped (zettai ryouiki, shoulder pads, bare/unarmored belly button, tiny bikini thingy). The main difference is Nu13's skin tight suit really.
