So was anybody else put off by the fact that the primary vocalist on the Xrd songs sounds like a clone of 90s-era James Hetfield? I guess Daisuke is a Metallica fan, but I can't help but laugh when listening to some of them.

I mean, the singer has his own band that's been around for quite awhile (1982). Almost as long as Metallica. I doubt Naoki Hashimoto sounding Hetfield-ish had anything to do with Daisuke asking him to do it, since he has his own considerable reputation.

The band is the namesake of the 8 super weapons in Guilty Gear.

It is said to be released in the beginning of 2015, so it should be announced soon.

Isn't P4U2 2.0 going to be released on the 15th January in the arcades? Then the Blue Radio should have a episode on that day, so perhaps then.

On another music related thing, the free to play music game Dead Spike-san have been released on android. I could download it, so it's probably not geo/region-locked.

Not in my case. At least it doesn't work on my HTC One.

Works for me, Moto X (gen 1, not rooted). 6 songs, all Chronophantasma versions (labeled as "II") with three difficulties: Rebellion, Bullet Dance, Catus Carnival, Reppuu, Queen of Rose, and Susanooh.

Bullet Dance on Hard is the toughest song imo, and Reppuu is the only one I got 3 stars on Hard even though I missed a bunch of times. Not entirely sure how scoring works here.

RIDE THE FIRE OFFICIAL LYRICS (?): *IDK IF THIS WAS POSTED ALREADY* *plzbanmeifitwas*

Ready or not!

Time to realize! I don’ t want to hear your words anymore

deadman sympathize, here I ‘m living under the darkest sky

Ride the fire, Born to end every life

Guns and steel that’ s what I am

Ride the fire, Born to end all (of) your kind

Time has come, so how do you want it done

Ready or not, that is your circumstance. here I come

Ready or not, that’s the price you pay

(o)k say your prayers now

Time to recognize I shall sit here and watch your die in pain.

Here I sympathize for you living in a deadend maze

Ride the fire, Born to end every life

Currupted Sun yeah that’ s my name

Ride the fire, Born to end all (of) your kind

The time is now, theres nothing you can do

Ready or not, make your sacrifice.   count to three

Ready or not, here’s the chance you take

(o)k shut your mouth and draw!

He came from another world that weve never

seen never heard never dreamed.

We will be damned in hell, burned to ashes.

How did it end this way

choose your path now  choose your path now

choose your path now  choose your path now

Ride the fire, Born to end every life

Guns and steel that’ s what I am

Ride the fire, Born to end all (of) your kind

The time is now, theres nothing you can do

Ready or  not! that is your circumstance here I come

Ready or  not, that’s the price you pay

oh  Nothing  stops me now

Every time, I must feel betrayed when the real lyrics show up. Truly Engrish is the ultimate troll of the language.

Jokes aside, this isn't so bad in the grammar and syllable department. There's more of that here than in those L.A./N.A. vocal lyrics of either GG or BB. I can live with "READY OR NOOOOOOOOOOT!" but not...

So it's not "LETITOOOOOUT!!"? I am disappoint. Do we have official lyrics for the other tracks?

The source says it was taken from the booklet in the case of the GG x BB Music Live 2014 DVD, so the lyrics to Heavy Day and Lily should be in there, too.

Although that's probably pretty hard to come by...

Part of me seriously wants to believe Daisuke sits at his computer looking at the lyrics fans try to make out, and even if the fans are right, he will change them up *juuust* enough to make them sound similar in engrish so we'll be wrong.

Someone was kind enough to rip the whole soundtrack from the PS4 version (PS3 rips are terrible)

I won't give any links, just search for "guilty gear xrd ost" on YT

The uploader also posted a mediafire link in the description

Leos and Els themes without any statics sound so much better

We've actually had those for a long time. They're posted on the official Xrd site.

Since we're on topic of lyrics, do we have any lyrics for stuff from Vastedge? Die, SHOTGUN&HEAD, Coming Home and Storyteller, that is.

I gotta say, Daisuke must have had a lot of leg room to come up with a song like the Replay Theater theme. When you bother to stop and listen, it feels like it came way outta left field; a handful of instruments that you didn't expect Daisuke to use. Folk xylophone? Retro electronic tunes? Fucking bagpipes? Those were bagpipes, right (Edit: Though knowing the bass scratch, that part must have been meant to be humorous)?? This was quite a well done mix too. I can see the dude's attempting to adapt and evolve through the use of different instruments and styles (as seen in Sin and Leo's theme). It means quite a lot when menu music (not just the RT song, but the Lobby one, and the title screen too) makes browsing through said menus worth while.

Diva of Despair has a pretty sweet bagpipe solo, too.

Daisuke seems to love using all sorts of instruments in his songs; even Momentary Life has always made excellent use of the shamisen and shakuhachi. and the flawless, seamless way he melds all kinds of classical instruments into his music in Blazblue... Daisuke can just take any instrument and make it metal, and that's why I love him.

I'm more curious as to how much further he can get as far as variety goes. After all this time in his career, prog metal will be cinch, though that may be used for a whole other Arcsys game.

As far as I know, Daisuke wrote the song in Japanese first and then Motomura (Black Onslaught guy) translated it. That'd be some wicked magic if they were changing it on the fly like that.

But, they would try to fit 4 syllables on what sounds like it's supposed to be 3 notes. lol

The Replay Theater theme came from Overture, which was one of Daisuke's more varied and bigger budget (if overproduced IMHO) soundtracks.
