now we wait for the eventual playable raven to actually get a remix of march of the wicked king :P

... That would feel... Off. XD

March of the Wicked Kind and Worthless as the Sun Above Skies are pretty god damn opposite, after all.

By remix I mean "heavy metal worthelss as the sun about the clouds" remix :P

but you are right it would sound off. Even though before it was discarded into the cutting room floor, that he and Axl were parallel.

First I didn't understand why you'd make a loop out of a match video, but when the thing ended, I realized that I'd have done it myself if you didn't.

Korean case aside, this is the first time Millia got a new theme, and that counts for something. It still has Millia's spirit in it, but it's now more about her personal story than the generic "I'm a pretty female assassin, woo!".

Haha, I totally agree. Things start out pretty heavy (perhaps a bit darker than the rest), but soon enough, the guitar riffs kick in and things get a lot more harmonious. Maybe the beginning's supposed to be representative of the hardship she's been through, and the latter parts are indicative of how much more confident she's become, particularly in her conviction (which may tie in with Zato-One's role in the story, but I don't know exactly what his deal is in Xrd, so saying any more would be pure speculation on my part).

I dunno, it's just an excellent piece. I seriously can't stop listening to it. I hope ArcSys considers doing NAX samples like they did with BBCP. :kitty:

I remember hearing the full version in a stream where a Sol was doing practice. IIRC the full length of the song is about 4:20, somewhere around that range.

Oh, man. The search begins! :v:

Based on my poor hearing and my knowledge of music as well as consultation from friends, it sounds like the new tracks take inspiration (in classic Ishiwatari fashion) from these songs.

Sol - Stranger Than Fiction by Five Finger Death Punch

Ky - Electric Eye by Judas Priest

Bedman - Panic Attack by Dream Theater

Slayer - Sounds like a Led Zeppelin or Beatles song, I just can't put my finger on which one.

Thank you for making my day.

The beginning of Chipp's theme def sounds the most like Suck a Sage, but that's about it for me(then again, I'll have to listen to it alot more to judge).

With that said, I LOVE the new themes they composed for the characters, some even more then the originals. Potemkin's theme is great; it's hard and proud, Millia's is just intense and Slayer's is.... Marvel 2. lol. In a good way.

I do think my new fav from what I've heard is Bedman's. As if it starts off like a lullaby then quickly shifts into night slasher epic rock. I should've really expected it, but I didn't, lol.

All the songs sound like their old versions, but not in a literal remixed sense. More like successors to their old versions which is awesome. Every song is literally obvious which character it belongs to. I love it.

It's like how Daisuke made the 6 Heroes, theme we all wanted it, we all knew it had to sound grandiose and epic and he delivered by giving us EXACTLY what we wanted. Only now did i realize how much Red & Blue sounds like Re-coming lol. And the Assassin's Guild Theme is like an amalgamation of Still in the Dark and Existence put together and made sexier. Why must Daisuke always have one song with an acoustic guitar solo?!

Worthless As The Sun Above Clouds. Above Skies sounds too happy lol.

Anyways does anyone have a link where I can properly hear "You Still Feel A Fear?", not many people are using Zato, and his theme is kickass.

Is anyone here completely in love with the Assassins VS theme like I am?

I mean...Holy shit. I didn't think I could fall in love with a song this hard after SIX-HEROES. I don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of it. Right now it has to be my favorite theme out of the whole lot of this soundtrack.

Also, as happy as I am to listen to a song so clearly, kinda freaks me out how quiet the ride and this ship is :v:

Holy shit, May's new theme is amazing.

Hopefully we can get a listen to some other themes. Sol's, Ky's, Axl's and Slayer's themes are what I'm hoping for.

The mainstream FGC will pretend like they cared more than everyone else when the game comes out. Until then it's completely irrelevant to them except for news on SRK.

This could just be me, but does anyone notice there's an air of dynamism in how the soundtracks play in-game?

Like this fight here. The moment it goes to Danger mode is when Sol's theme shifts a little bit before going back to standard. Or that's just a part of his theme and it's just mere coincidence that it feels dynamic.

This fight however shifts from Ky's new theme to Holy Orders III when Ky's hair is out. Why the exact same Holy Orders III theme, I have no clue.

There is the Dragon Install music, of course, but that's a power up theme to be forced in, just like Bang's Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan.

holy orders III is established already..maybe they needed an excuse to give Ky a version of holy orders? :P

Because Holy Orders III was too fucking epic to just be used in a game that barely got recognized and wasn't even a true Guilty Gear game in the actual gameplay.

Daisuke probably just wanted both the Protagonist and the Deuteragonist to both have two themes in the game. I ain't even mad about tho dawg.*shrugs*

May's theme is pretty legit, but someone needs to get Ky's Xrd theme up. Along with Zato's.

I have a feeling that might be the actual reason...

"Hey guys, I don't know if you remember, but we made this Sequel/Spin-off of Guilty Gear that we called Guilty Gear 2: Overture. It wasn't really a fighting game, but it had some of our best music ever, so we figured we'd just snuff some of those tracks, so that those tracks get to be in a fighting game anyways. Kthxbai!"

There is a midi-recreation out on youtube somewhere, it's title was with Japanese letters, though, so I have no idea how you can search it up. I just randomly stumbled upon it a few days ago.

Although I remember it being uploaded on the 11th, so someone had made that recreation before the game even was out in arcades. That's cool.

You know what, I have absolutely no problem with this.

I second that, Overture's OST was fantastic and it was actually a fun game in my opinion.

Why does a game necessarily have to adhere to the same genre as the earlier entries of its series to be considered a "true" part of it? By your logic, P4A isn't a true Persona game.

i think you missed the "in actual gameplay" part(not a disrespectful tone)
