Yeah, they are pretty hard to see. Wonder what it says.

Yeah, I wonder that too. It's too small for me to being able to read, and it looks like it's written with only kanjis, which probably would make it impossible for me to read it even if it was larger.

Just Kanjis? Not even one furigana? Dang, that's trolling. I'd laugh if it was something like "I'm playable now, these scrubs are going to get rekt."

Oh well, we can wait 12 days right?

Well we're 10 days away from Act 2 and I got some ideas brewing in my head regarding some things.

First of all, this "Naoto overwriting Ragna's existence" business. Do you think that is the reason why Ragna lost his memories as opposed to Nine doing it via Embryo? Now yes she has altered memories of the others but didn't actually erase them. So Ragna being an amnesiac is certainly suspect.

Additionally, Naoto is called as "someone who doesn't belong" by at least 3 individuals (by my count that would be Nine, Valkenhayn and Rachel). But why could that be? I doubt it's because these 3 care for Ragna's wellbeing so what danger could he present?

Second thing is regarding Azrael. Now he calls Izanami a "god" and seems completely unfazed by the revelationand readily accepts it as fact. To me,  this implies familiarity. My theory: what if Azrael is like Izanami, a deity inhabiting a human host body? Specifically a deity of war and combat.

It is like he is from another dimension or timeline. But it is like he came over there for other things rather than kill Izanami, like the others. It is like an "out this place". Because as far as I remember, Raquel ordered him to retrieve the Azure to her. Yet he may have other purposes for later, but for now... it doesn't have many things.

It would be very interesting if we get something like the 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse...

Azrael = War

Izanami = Death

Heck, even Terumi can be Pestilence... Ok, the last one was stupid

While a part of me would enjoy learning more about Azreal, I feel like making him a god would seriously cheapen the most charming aspect of his character. That he's just a dude who can punch with force equivalent to a meteor impact, and he doesn't much care for all the bullshit going around him. Even if he's aware of the ins and outs of what's going on, so long as he can get a good scrap in with these super powered jackasses running around trying to reshape the world in their image, and subsequently introduce their face to concrete, it's a good day for him.

well hazama/terumi does have that poison ability plus a venomous snake motif, it wouldn's be too far-fetched if he were Pestilence.

I doubt azrael is a simple guy who got casually all that strength.
I hope CF will reveal a little more about this character

I'm not saying that it is really a god, but, seriously, that Mori give some explanation on this pile of muscles came out of nowhere.

PS: sorry for my bad english

I would like to believe that Azrael is so powerful because of Kokonoe's failed experiments. The whole Sector Seven plot is centered around her after all.

(Also, Noel is the only one who can be called pestilence in this game. :roboky:)

Well yeah since we are only in Act 1 officially. Mori needs a flippin' crash course on pacing pronto, because you can't simply toss someone new and start forcefully stitching them to the plot in what is the proposed climax of this "trilogy". Celica had the excuse since she was, technically around since CT, but we just didn't know her name. Same could be said for Bullet and Azrael since they were connected through Tager. But Naoto, not so much. I like him as an addition to the roster and all, but I am more worried about the characterization and plot at this rate.

How can you forget Arakune? I mean he's a living garbage blob full of disease, bugs and other weird-ass shit. If anyone deserves to be Pestilence in this case it's him. Question is: who is Conquest in this regard? Ragna...or perhaps, Naoto?

I can understand your viewpoint but for me, what a character ultimately is does not diminish their overall feats. You could make him into a deity and it still doesn't change the fact that he constantly reserves his power and wrecks face anyway. Plus, as Axiomatic pointed out, we don't know what constitutes as a "god" in the BB-verse. For all we know, the BB-verse "gods" are simply really, really powerful individuals (like Azrael) who basically do whatever damn well they please.

However, I DO enjoy the phrasing you used to reply. For that, just take solace that my predictions are usually completely wrong. And I admit, I do enjoy Azrael for what he is. I only offered up the explanations about his power's source because I like theorizing about it.

Is it safe to assume that Hades Izanami wields another Murakumo, similar to the Zero-Type Izayoi? Because her head- and footgear and the artifices which form the ring share similarities to either the prototype or the normal one.

Spoiler

It also seems that her stage is right next to the Amaterasu Unit.

EDIT: "Distortion Drive: Jindou no Koku. Stops time." Interesting. This seems to be the technics which she taught Relius, althought he hasn't quite mastered it yet and can only slow time but not stop it.

Hey guys, new here. Found this info on another site:

The Imperator does not battle in her normal priestess-styled regalia, but changes her costume to one similar to that of the Murakumo units, with a giant, floating ring resembling a thunder god drum behind her called the Yasakani no Magatama. Her Drive is called Sharin (Exodus Arc). By pressing the D button, the Imperator activates the Yasakani no Kakon, acting as a stance switching mechanic in the same vein as Izayoi. While in this stance, the Imperator can fire projectiles at the opponent with directional inputs and the D button, and gains several new moves and abilities at the cost of not being able to block. Her Overdrive is called Zekkai (Arc Force), and it gives her the ability to block while in Yasakani no Kakon stance.

Been waiting since Continnum Shift for this :P

Would've preferred her Imperator outfit, but this one isn't as kinky as the Murakumo units, if a little familiar. Maybe DLC like with Noel.

All we need is Jubei and maybe Trinity and this roster is perfect.

Ugh... I just corrected myself. It's Yasakani no Magatama. Not Kakon. Also, the overdrive combines both modes into one.

@Calamitus Noel is famine, because that's what's going to happen when you put her in charge of cooking.

Brief theory on Jubei and why it's taken him so long...what if the cat form is not how he really looks?  What if he was a humanoid or something before and something happened to him?  It would certainly be something to save until the climax of the story and would also make his relationship with Nine much less unsettling.

There's an armored form of him back during the War that apparently would be enough to compensate for it, but something tells me they're just trying to milk him as DLC for those who have been waiting all this time; they don't have to pitch him to us like the other characters.

On a side note, anyone wonder who the Act 3 boss will be? I'm guessing it's an incarnation of Amateratsu, who finally got tired of being targeted by literally everyone else besides Rachel.

I really hope so, we barely have good options outside of that. Aside from no-limiter Azrael.

Izanami's stage being that close to Amaterasu could be a clue. Either way, I'm expecting her to release after Act II so her Arcade Ending is a trailer like Nine's.

Edit: Just noticed Noel wearing Mu's headgear in that pic while wearing her normal clothes. Looks like they didn't really split, but it could be foreshadowing.

Noel could possibly be getting ready to take on Izanami as Mu-12 while curbing her murderous tendencies her alter ego has. Either way, I hope they don't try and retread this; because CP did it pretty well.

Anyone have higher resolution shots of the magazine scans? Can't make out anything in the current ones.

Makes sense. When does the full version come out? Maybe that Japanese bookstore near me will have it...

Thursdays, but since it also comes out on digital 00:00JST, it's less then 21 hours to the release of the magazine.

What will probably happens is Kurushii will grab it and share it on twitter. I'm also going to make a final reminder though that this is not a thread for discussing playable characters or wishing for new ones.

Anyone notice that "the mark" has returned, but this time on Izanami's dress?

I dunno where you see it on Izanami, but Amaterasu is definitely sporting something that looks similar to "the mark" found on both Ragna and Naoto. You see it on 2 of her "pods" in the background.

I wonder what can happen if we complete Act 1 with Izanami. If it won't the act 3 trailer.

I was also thinking about this: The arcade is already showing the possible end of Izanami, even in act 2, but then... what story will the console version have?
