I've been running into a lot of mirror matches lately. Most of them I've been able to deal with. But one specific type of Tao just frustrates me to no end. The drive spammer who semi-knows what they're doing. Mirror matches are always tough and I think we should have discussion about how everyone deals with mirror matches. Let's start us off. How do you punish drive spam with Tao?

A well placed 5C counter hit on landing will usually tell them what's up. At least that's how I deal with it.

Tao vs. Tao is too much cute for one game. Seriously, just nail your combos, counter drives with C moves. It's going to come down to who can move better and who can land the most damaging combos.

Hahaha Duck are you literally posting that in every vs Tao thread? You're my hero.

It's a running joke because the match-up forums are usually really bad and there's usually always one guy who says "just IB everything", as if that's oh so helpful

Cool so instead of being a dumbass and adding to the problem you could try and be a little more helpful instead. Or you could just not post period. Your choice.

I am displeased by this coming of events. Had it coming though. So, what tools does Tao have to beat her own j.C? Anything cleanly punish it on IB? Sort of hard now that I think about the delay.

Pirateyoshi, IB on air vs air or ground vs air? If it's IB on air you pretty much do anything you want, depending on how close you are. If you're on ground, 2a/5b/6a/throw. I like to use j.B a lot in this matchup, you can delay it and you can use efficiently as deep crossup after a jump-in/IAD or even after a 2D.
