Cornix Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Lol... I was playing a girl the other day and heard 'I HATE YOUR STICK' right in the middle of the first round. I was laughing so hard for the rest of the match that I almost lost... I had to double down with a beastly all green to stop myself from losing. (Also of note... I actually found this out against Unlimited Ragna... 2/3 rounds match... if someone has 1 win.. the other person has 0 wins... and you get a double down... the person with 0 wins will get a win.. the person with 1 win will not... total bullcrap.... As to how I learned this... I beat U.Ragna first round... double down'd the second round... he won the third... I chucked a controller through a window...) I messed up a riichi combo... but caught them with C on the staff as they recovered.. after 7 hits they ragequit on me... QQ
Katizo Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Well, I recently started playing Litchi...I had to do a good amount of training first before taking it online, when I finally did people praised me....adding me to their friendlist and what not. the problem on PSN is that 80% of the players out there are Jin/Ragna/Noel players and when they see you use Litchi they gasp in awe.
Soothesayer Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I dunno people always beat me up after they win a round so I dunno if they always do that or were like really pissed off. My litchi is still not that great but not awful either, just so-so but it's getting better everyday so that's really all I care about. I have gotten compliments before, not too many insults but then again I hardly use a mic.
Kdash55 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Lol people hate my Litchi. The long combos, being dragged from one side of the screen to the other, dealing with the lightning stick from hell *tsubame, aka tsubame gayshit*, tricky guesses on wakeup game, awesome pokes, instant fire pillar from hell, "cheater stick man that turns around" - quote from some dude, I can go on forever. Yea, I could see where all the hate is coming from. The only good praise I get is from other Litchi players.
Bridget Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I wish the other guy had a mic when I did this. 41236+D through Nu's sword distortion I forget the name but it ate through each sword. It was beautiful.
Cornix Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I wish the other guy had a mic when I did this. 41236+D through Nu's sword distortion I forget the name but it ate through each sword. It was beautiful. It always does. Fun times. Very very fun times. I was in a smaller tourney last month and my nerves got to me, but I still ended up wrecking a bunch of faces.. but my playgroup all know when I miss an all green input.... (they see the sj.C or the random jump chun and know what I was going for) so I got a standing ovation when I finally hit my first one and ended the round on it.
maelgrim Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Is there an easy way to get the distance right for all green ?
Ryyudo Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Is there an easy way to get the distance right for all green ? Image memory, since you know it's always a certain distance from Litchi (unless in corner, which is weird.) What I think helped me was just being stupid one day and learning what kind of stuff I can combo into All Green. I just naturally kind of learned the distance from that. But from mental memory: it's short of the distance of 5C. Although All Green is a riskier move now-a-days, alone.
individuals Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 totally not risky alone! if you use it to counter other supers or airdashes or moves with long recovery. i think some of the first few things i was able to react with an allgreen against was : -random noel air supers -random jin icewave supers -icecar startup but memory is indeed the case on how to use it right.

But from mental memory: it's short of the distance of 5C. Although All Green is a riskier move now-a-days, alone. The corner distance seems about the same, actually. You just need to take into account the fact that All Green keeps moving off of the boundaries of the stage.
Intrepid I-no Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I've gotten some hate mail from time to time, but probably an equal amount of praise. I would say that most people who hate Litchi hate her because they have no idea how to fight her. She's actually a pretty low tier for a reason and those who know how to block and bate can get around a lot of litchi's would-be great normals. People who like Litchi are usually people who understand the mechanics of the game more, or the character specifically. Those are the people i enjoy playing the most truly. Way too many Jin players on XBL for my taste... as well as a lot of Iron Tagers?? Which he doesn't bother me much at all, so i don't mind but man... is he E-Z mode or what? I mean my sub is Tager... so i can't talk too much shit lol. But i play Litchi by FAR more
Soothesayer Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Tager can pull victories out of ass spontaneously with like 2 combos or a 720, I'm guessing that's why he's so popular. Problem is he can't do it frequently or much at all against certain characters. I guess I do get more Litchi compliments these days though.
Brother Mojo Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Tager is "casual top tier." Against casual players, it's pretty easy to grab the momentum as soon as they make a single mistake and then ride that wave until they're dead two or three combos later. From my experience playing against Litchi, she's actually sort of the same way, with her combos that last an hour and a half and her corner trap okizeme craziness... but it requires a lot more practice to get to that level than it does to learn how to do a couple of Tager's BnBs and how to neutral wake-up 720 when people are being overly aggressive.
TheDarkWall Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I really see litchi as a character I encounter rarely, not as much one I have any real respect for over anyone else. When I see one its more like " oh this is rare " more than " BLESS YOUR SOUL FOR USING LITCHI MY GOOD MAN!!!!! "
Hirayu Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 No one is going to respek Litchi players anymore now that certain things in CT have been discovered.
iora Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 i dont respek anyone who cant spell the full word of 'respect' out of laziness fuckin seriously lol
Mooshi-Q Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 No one is going to respek Litchi players anymore now that certain things in CT have been discovered. What the shit does this mean? :8/:
Hirayu Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Did I say CT? I am sorry, that was massive fail on my part, I meant CS.
Mooshi-Q Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I don't imagine losing respect points if one was a dedicated CT Litchi player. I have yet to play CS, but she seems like she still takes quite a bit of practice and effort to play effectively compared to the rest of the cast.
Poizonous Flour Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Yeah, those combos are not easy to do at all. It isn't just mindless mashing (though it is a little easier than CT to achieve the combos)... Litchi has a lot of directional movements in her combos, especially when utilizing the stick. She still requires pinpoint timing on some of her combos, though 3C ittsuC has made things a lot easier, at least to me...
Kenshuma Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 It's the same difficulty in my opinion. But then again, CT Litchi's combo's weren't hard at all.
DoomieJ Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 If someones using her in a tourney, i respect the fuck out of them because their name is Lord Knight.
ZONG_one Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 It makes you a Tier Whore. You get no respect.
Cornix Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Drat... I'm a tier whore for playing litchi since CT release. *snap* Actually no... I think I'll be ok.
ZONG_one Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 You are a tier whore. My good friend, Bang Camaro is also a tier whore for playing the worst character in CT, who just so happens to be great in CS. And so is my friend Saif, for playing Ragna. You're all tier whores.
