Yeah I've been trying to work on my execution more than anything, its still pretty bad but on Sunday I was doing even worse than usual. I don't know what the problem was, the only thing I can think of is that I'm using a different stick but both my PS3 and Xbox stick have Sanwa parts so I don't know if that could be it.

You gotta auto pilot less, and use some new blockstrings, 6A-5B-6B only works for so long =3 try using a mix like 2A>2B>xx(delay)>2A>2B < with this you can fish for counter hits against someone mashing. Or try to condition your opponent to block high by abusing your overheads then when they feel like you'll do the same thing(on reaction) they'll stand up, you insert a low to throw them off. I'll PM you a vid link on FB or something of a good Noel if I see one so you can see what I'm talking about visually.

Hi all, New England player who just moved to the area looking for a place to mash buttons. I am assuming that the scene is going to Arcade Legacy now?

Just come out when you can. There's a ranbat Saturday, but I'll be getting there pretty late. I don't know who is going this time.if you're around Cbus, there's people there that play

Apparently two Melty players that are half-serious live in Columbus and no one else, as far as my research shows. Love to know how the community is spread, since I do want to organize car pools and the like

If you want to make that 2 1/2 hour drive to Toledo then let me know. I'm always down to play MBAA.

It's my main game. :V

Yeah, how I managed to pull that off for 5 years will forever be a mystery.

Thomas lives in Cbus and he's hardcore serious about melty.

I also Love me some melty blood and I show up at Legacy when I can, which hasn't been very much in the past 6 months or so.

Sounds good. I'll be showing up at the Wednesday Columbus event, barring any fluctuations in work schedule. See y'all then!

So apparently AL is having a Grand opening the weekend of the 17th? I had that weekend off in preparation for WB but I think I'm gonna be short on cash for that, but instead I think I'm gonna head down there and try and get some Guilty Gear hype going, anyone else interested?

Posted

I could try to drag my tiny little Indianapolis Guilty Gear group for that

I've been wanting to get out there again for a while now

Posted

Alright, well since they're having a soft opening on the 12th, I think I'll head down on the 17th to see what I'll bring on the 18th. So far I'm thinking I'll bring my PS2, Guilty Gear Accent Core, along with my PS3, King of Fighters 13 AND Blazblue: Contiuum Shift EXTEND. I only have my own controllers though, no sticks so you'll have to bring your own. If needed I can bring a CRT, but really I'd rather not have to haul that around, sorry.

So if anyone else wants to bring stuff, let me know so we can start off this opening with some good games.

Wow kyle, i was gonna pop in on srk indy thread and say something about this, but looks like you already know what's up. Looking forward to it. Amadeous, fight nights are normally thursday night, so if you're coming down early to check things out, I'd suggest the 16th over the 17th if that's feasible at all. If not, let me know when you're heading down and we'll play. 513-235-7310 if you need to get a hold of me.

Eric if you don't respond to this I'll call ya soon.

If he's actually doing fight night this Thursday then I'll drop by. Then do it again on the weekend, hells yeah.

I guess I won't be there on Saturday because I will be spending all day fixing computers that children broke until I feel like breaking children

Just picked up CS:E, I'll bring that and my PS3, but I don't have a legit monitor for it so if there's not one there (which I kinda doubt) someone else will have to step up.

Posted

So there's monitors there, but in limited supply. Have regular av cables in case you need them. Friday I'm gonna meet some friends for a birthday party so not sure if i can drop by the arcade or not. Will tell some people though and maybe someone will be there.

Fuck, I think I forgot my PS3's power cable there yesterday and I really don't feel like driving back 2 hours to grab it. Anyone know where I can get a slim ps3 power cable?

EDIT: Nevermind, PSP cable works too.

Any of you guys coming to the Indianapolis tournament this weekend?

I'm going to be there on Sunday for the GG and Melty Blood tournaments but I'm not sure about Saturday. I might make more of an effort to get there on Saturday (or at least for part of the day) if I know there will be people there looking for GG casuals or something
