I'm not sure exactly who or what triggered her urge to sing. I just know her songs gave: --Sol a Headache --Killed a village --Made Marina's legs asplode. --Nearly woke up Hydra, which was later destroyed by the Sacred Order's Satellite as a "last resort". Anyway, posting a THEORY regarding I-No here, nothing more, nothing less, to see if other agree with me on it or think I'm an idiot. First let's get the facts down. 1.) She was able to use magic from a young age, remarkably so. 2.) She can use spells to travel through time, but doesn't like it because she claims it's difficult. 3.) She really seems to hate Gears, see her win quotes against Dizzy or Sol, especially her boss win quotes. 4.) She tends to do things impulsively, without consulting That Man, only because she's bored. This is all confirmed, canon, what have you, correct? Now then, let's move on to the GGXX:AC opening video, Launch Out!! In it, roughly around the time when the images of Holy Order Sol and Ky Kiske meet on the battlefield, a blackened image of I-No is shown, except for her eyes, which glow yellow and seem to have slit pupils. In the original artwork for GGXX: The Midnight Carnival, she's shown to have a yellow iris. Now, the only other characters we've seen with yellow irises or slit pupils are Holy Order Sol, in the Launch Out!! intro (when the cut-ins of Ky and Sol are shown on screen, look at Sol's eyes), and Justice has very prominent slit pupils, and red eyes. My theory is that at one point, perhaps when she was VERY young, I-No was injected with Gear Cells as an experiment, or turned into a Gear, something like Sol or Testament. It could also lead to why she follows That Man; he could help her repress a side of her that she hates: that is, a Gear side. The biggest argument against this is in one of the novels, in which I-No exclaims to That Man that she's completely human. However, considering her personality, it's not a far cry to assume that I-No was lying. One thing's for certain, I-No's backstory has a lot of explaining to be done. I'm not sure if she's going to stay sealed for long in the next GG.

She was That Man's loyal servant, even though he punished her a lot for doing stuff he didn't like. Or she could have been killed off, but this is I-No we're talking about. Hardest bitch to kill that refuses to die.
Soothesayer Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I had read somewhere that according to one of the drama CDs that I-no originally came from an alternate future where humanity was on the verge of total defeat by the gears(lead by Dizzy) and that she went back in time to save Ky's life, who's life was necessary for humans beating the gears(in I-no's timeline, Ky had died,a nd the holy order fell apart). I believe if my memory serves correctly it was That man who told her how to do this. This would explain why she despises Dizzy. This could just be drama CD canon and not overall GG story canon, but if it was true I-no would've actually saved the world, despite being a sadistic bitch who revels in others' torment(though we should note her intentions revolve around fulfilling That Man's schemes). It also puts the whole Dizzy hate in a new perspective... I kind of want to know what happens to Anji and I-no, would be pretty awesome if Anji ends up sticking with TM for good and they need to expand on I-no's character/backstory actually in-game. Plus her beef with Sol is the best in the game .And she's the only character who outright hates Dizzy. And who's the bandaged person?

I-No was indeed from a timeline where Ky Kiske had been killed and the human race had been on the losing side of the Crusades for quite some time. Johnny's dead, Baldhead never became Faust, Testament and Dizzy are generals in the Gear army, and Sol is captain of the Sacred Order, if I recall everything correctly. The humans make a last ditch effort to take down the Gears, with the Sacred Order, Zepp, and the Jellyfish banding together. Meanwhile, I-No goes down into the Gear Plant to look for the Gear Maker, who turns out to be chained up in the lower levels, held as a prisoner. Outside, Sol and the others make their last stand against the Gears and are actually about to pull off a win. That Man postulates that mankind was destined to win the Crusades regardless of how the events played out, and the net result will be essentially the same. I-No reveals to him that she can go back in time and help the humans achieve victory. He doesn't believe her, saying that violating causality is impossible. She tells him that she'll prove it to him, using up a ton of energy to travel back to the battle in which Ky died and save him. She apparantly then meets up with That Man of her own accord in the new timeline (Reality 2.0) and joins him. Also, the Drama CDs are fully canon, as are the novels. There are referances to the events here and there.

Sol was pretty haggard after pre-maturely killing Justice and all the goings-on that resulted from that, Dizzy aside. Also, speaking of alternate Futures, check out Dizzy's GGX+ 3rd Ending sometime.

I notice you keep asking if people can understand Japanese vocally in order for them to go over your NoK summary. Is this implying you don't have the written script to go over? Because I totally do if you don't have it yourself and you can get information out of it that way. I've just been plugging it away at Googletranslate to get whatever out of it, but if you guys can make more sense of it, then uh. Here you go. Note that that's only the main story-line script. It doesn't have any of the side stories in it. So yeah. Hi.
