Agree with the symbolic representation part. The woman with the egg has an oval face while the Maiden of the Grove has a heart shaped face. Also the masterghost has a tatoo visible on her shoulders and thicker lips, while Ky's frozen girlfriend has no markings on her shoulders and normal lips. (Haha girls like me are meticulous with facial features.)

And about the Rising Force... there's a woman!? Why didn't I notice her? :psyduck:This makes my friend's fanfic where Ky's Furaiken has a female spirit more plausible *daydreams fanon*

Yeah, in the sprites for Rising Force, a woman (in the fetal position iirc) forms within the lightning effects right before Ky pushes it into the opponent. I don't remember at all where I read it (possibly someone asked at one of the American cons Daisuke came to in the past couple years?) but Daisuke apparently stated that there was a story behind the woman in the attack and that he would explain it 'some day'. But since I don't remember where I heard this, I can't say if it's definitely true. :S

I really hope that the next GG will have lots of lots of new info. In speaking of symbolism and themes, Daisuke is really fond of using women. Eddie's IK also has a demonic woman, Paris has female angels, the giant tree at the grove has a female appearance and the stage has angels too.

I think it's more that he just has a thing for old European styled symbolism/architecture (which has lots of those things), after all he really seems to like harping on the Christian religious symbols too and it's probably for that reason. Much of Guilty Gear's stage seems to be pretty Eurocentric (regarding the events of the Crusades, it being the Order's base of operations, political movements in Europe you mentioned in Ky's Overture materials on the last page).

EDIT: Okay, so I was reading through here and saw mention of I-No's background. I haven't really played through her AC+ story much so I'm not sure if I missed it there, but where was it said that she was born during the Side Red alternate timeline? I don't recall that ever being stated in the drama CD's themselves. If that's the case though, I guess that would explain why she seems to hate Dizzy and Gears in general so much.

There's no official source that tells I-No's age, but still, everybody else is supposed to exist in both timelines (except Sin maybe.) However, there's picture of a very young(she looks like a child) I-No with that Man and his two other servants, but that would be inconsistent with the Drama CD where she's an adult when she met that Man. Also, the relationship chart lists that Axl knows I-No from the old times.

In her hating Gears, I think she's just a big racist, or that she seem them as creatures that her master regrets creating. Also, maybe since I-No knows that Dizzy seems to be a very powerful genocidal Gear in hiding, she enjoys bullying her since she know she wouldn't stand a chance against her in the other timeline. It's like you're bullying Daisuke Ishiwatari in a timeline where he's not game creator out of inferiority complex (silly example.)

Do you mean that one illustration from LtA? I don't think she's supposed to be a child there, it's probably just Daisuke's rather wonky grasp of proportions lmfao (And besides that, that illustration was done before XX came out, so her design hadn't yet been finalized anyway.)

In her hating Gears, I think she's just a big racist, or that she seem them as creatures that her master regrets creating.

Well about that, that's clearly the 'basic' reason I suppose, but it seemed like earlier in the thread there was some implication that there's a specific reason she hates them and Dizzy specifically, that's what I'm specifically asking about- if there was some implication of her actual specific origin in recent story info that I missed.

As another aside, I seem to recall post-Isuka everyone was pretty darn sure that Leopaldon (the guy riding IN the Gear, not the Gear itself) was That Man's 4th servant and that much was stated in the Isuka mooks or something, but reading more recently people seem to be unsure of who the 4th servent is. So was that ever confirmed or debunked?

About the illustration, maybe it's was just an out of proportion picture, but we can never know.

Anyway, in X plus, her design is already shown http://www.guiltygear.ru/images/gallery/ggxplus_sm_so3.jpg

I haven't played Isuka, but the relationship chart puts Leopaldon in "Gears" along with Gig and Justice. I'm not really sure myself if Leopaldon is the guy or the Gear... or the dog. But so far I know no info on the armored guy.

EDIT: I'm wrong, it's actually I-No who knows Axl from the old times.

That image also came to my mind, but X and XX take place only a few months apart (and LtA is inbetween...). So she couldn't have changed that much without some serious timey-wimey business.

EDIT: The thing stating Leopaldon is a servant of That Man mighta been from a magazine article, now that I think of it- but still, a more or less 'official' source. I never did find out whether that was true or just rumor, though.

Since you guys like to find info, I suggest sticking to in-game or Drama CD scripts.

Beyond that, anything from websites and other media is susceptible to misinterpretation. I had to fix mistranslations in GGX Data that didn't jive with later versions of the games.

About I-No, all we know is that she could use magic at a young age (Raymond says this -GGJ). Axl says he's seen her in old pictures with groups of researchers, whether it was for the 1st or 2nd Gear Projects remains unknown, or it could have been some other research entirely, possibly dating further back to before the Backyard was discovered in 2010. Ky (in Side Red) suspected I-No was a military deserter, as in she ran away from her superiors as part of a military experiment.

Her hatred for Gears isn't so much racism as it is envy over That Man's favors. She opines over Justice being his greatest work, yet junk. She goes total Sadist on Dizzy, at the time Dizzy hadn't mastered her powers yet, yet That Man held Dizzy in high regard.

In addition, I-No refers to That Man in past tense, like she'd originally read about him in a history book...this suggests she learned about him in the distant future, so, like Axl, she's been all over the place.

Can that woman still be seen? I mean does this apply to GGXXAC+ as well? If not where?

AFAIK the sprites in AC+ are exactly the same as XX's (not counting new attacks and characters, naturally) so I would assume so.

Found this today, it's true about that woman. Check this one (the third one from the upper right).

And btw, already checked again today. In GGXXAC+, when Ky's Instant Kill managed to hit opponent and the word 'Destroyed' is displayed on the screen, quickly take a look inside Ky's wave of lightning. You will find that woman, flying. Try this in the training mode.

Right, we know she exists. The question is who/what is she, and the only reason I care is because Daisuke supposedly said there is a story behind her existence that he will explain at some point. I wouldn't care what it is if it was just there to look cool.

Obviously he'll explain the origins of all 8 OutRage Jinki eventually, and how Dizzy and Gear plants are tied to them. We'll just have to wait, sorry!

I love Daisuke for all his plot holes and unconnected events.

It just makes speculation and story satire that much more fun.

I don't know if this is suppose to be positive, sarcastic or funny ;_; But I kinda agree with you.

First image isn't loading, but oh well...point made.

I'm thinking about bundling all my 'compiled info' into one massive rar file as annoying as that will be, since webhosts appear synonymous with video ads and redirects...ugh.

The image is loading here. Anyway, I actually don't mind ads... except of they're pornographic or really annoying like that x-ray thing.

You could get a box.net account, Blade. It's what I use for most things if I want to upload a lot of shit. As far as I can see, there aren't any annoying ads, either (I DO have ad-block plus installed, though, so my ass isn't ever seeing any ads).

Also, I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun with all the plot-holes too. Sometimes it's just better to wonder.

I thought the outrage jinki were either gear spirits or even actual kami sealed inside physical weapons....
