maraxusofkelds Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Quick question, but what is a 1f jump? is it holding back fd then quickly pressing jump? i can't seem to find the guide or exact definition on this.
excelence Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Theoretically it's "canceling your jump start up frame with FD" there's 2 way to do it that i know jump+fd at the same time & hold fd then pressing Jump u know u succeed the FD jump by only jumping verticaly up(no matter forward/backward jump button u press) and there's no dust animation effect while u jump
Digital Watches Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Sidenote: 1FJIAD back gets me out of so much damage it's not even funny.
shinquickman Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 A good way to know if you are 1F jumping is if your jump doesn't cause any dust to come from the ground. Easiest way to 1F jump: While neutral, hold 2 buttons you can FD with(say P+K), then press 8 and quickly press 7.
Hellmonkey Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Using 7 and pressing it lets you go immediately from blocking to 1f jump
Digital Watches Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Yeah, doing it the 8-7 way actually makes it more like a 2F jump (Meaning you get 1F of the shitty state of being in jump startup, which is probably what you were trying to avoid by 1FJing in the first place), since the game has to recognize those inputs on separate frames. Granted, getting actual 1F timing is a little hard, but it's really a question of why are you even 1FJing in the first place?
maraxusofkelds Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Avoiding pressure strings or badly timed meaties. BDC 1f jump is just slayer bd but quickly do 1f jump right? how useful is it?

If you hit 7+P+K on the same frame you get an FD, not a jump. Avoiding pressure strings or badly timed meaties. BDC 1f jump is just slayer bd but quickly do 1f jump right? how useful is it? Yes, and it's very good.
Kamui Moon Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 SO GOOD... shit does slayer even need to 1f jump any of that shit with bdc as awesome as it is? either way hes like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4

Yeah like GB said 87 holding it and 7FD will both jump in 1F, but going 1 or 4->7FD leaves you with only 1 frame of vulnerability between blocking and jumping
JG Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Wuajaja look fun when you do 1F super jump >_> because the Char Sj without the shadow trail xD.
Hellmonkey Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I guess its worth adding here for those that dont know that you can cancel to ground or air specials as well during jump startup, most notably (airborne)badlands, youzansen, obviously mappa, some others that are good to know
