Prototype909 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Most things in the game take meter off the Arcana Gauge (Bottom bar). Homing Cancels, Guard Cancels, Supers, Arcana Supers and Critical Hearts all use this gauge. Of course, how much it takes off varies with what you're doing...most take one bar though. Everything else will mostly come off your force gauge, the circular meter by your character portrait (Extend Force, Arcana Burst and Arcana Blazes are used by the force gauge). You start each match with 100% Force Gauge, but it does not recharge in-between rounds. Doing any of the previously mentioned actions with your force gauge meter drains it to ZERO. It will slowly recharge (Recharge rate dependent on the action used). Bar will turn blue once it is ready again, red indicates down time. The rate at which this bar recharges is also effected by your Arcana. As for Arcana Gauge you start off with one bar, and you can gain a maximum of three. When you hit the enemy, have them block you (Or have the reverse done to you for either), your maximum usable gauge increases by one bar. When you use your Arcana Gauge, even after it has increased, it will not reduce but turn red. After a set period of time, it will recover back to its maximum. While your gauge is red, you cannot increase your maximum until it has recovered. This meter DOES refill to your current maximum inbetween rounds. Basically, your meter doesn't increase limit until you've been fighting for awhile. Thus spamming meter at the start of a match can be problematic in the long term if your opponent sits on their meter. (You having one bar...them having three) Guts is a health threshold effect, different for each character. Basically they kick in to prevent you from being killed as fast. Imagine it as a slight zone of HP where you get an adrenaline rush before you die. Edited November 2, 2010 by Prototype909

The iPlayWinner one? There's non-loli characters like Zenia(pilebunker), Elsa(vampire hunter i suppose), Mei-Fang(china, huge tits and ass), Clarice(bat wings), and I suppose Scharlachrot(evil, chains), so it's not like you have to play someone like Heart. Using Extend Force recharges your Force Gauge faster. Bursting is what makes it recharge really really slowly. Saki is You Gotta Have Blue Hair.

I knew at first glance that they might've disliked each other by race alone, but they died? So they're like Fiona and Angelica. Craziest thing I've heard all year. xD And they only work for Petra via orders from the Vatican branch. The power of Arcana compels you! lol

Dunno how though lol. Also goddamn, in widescreen it takes forever for a wallbounce to hit the wall, lol. That'll mess up a lot of combos or pressure, it seems.

XD And I've been trying to remember for so long where "soma" came from... and then someone here reminded me that I watched (more like endured, I found it that terrible) through the first episode of Seikon no Qwaser and their rather "unique" mechanic... >_< Yup, Maori's got plenty of soma (I'd say Mei-Fang would have some, but she's a robot girl - they don't count XP). Oh yeah, now it's coming back to me. Thanks for reminding me. I haven't played AH2 in a while. Clarice was a high ranking demon that worked for Lilica's father. Because of this, Clarice was targeted by Holy Western European Office who sent out Elsa to assassinate the demon. They both inflict fatal wounds on each other from battle and the Arcanas Sorwat and Koshmar make a temporary contract with them and give them immortality. They both have to work for the two Arcana to keep feeding them impure souls or something. Now Clarice does volunteer work at the Vatican and is called in to help for emergencies(like Mildred's defection) that involve combat personnel. That's why Clarice wears the nun outfit now. Feed them impure hearts. Kinda like The Darkness. Sounds like their souls are no less impure than the Arcana that houses them. Too bad I can't see such emotions in AH2, especially the endings, since everything in Arcana Heart is nothing if serious.

She's a Valkyrie, like Weiss (Weiss and Schar's "Arcana" isn't really an Arcana at all by conventional means but some trippy ass Mecha pseudo Arcana Shit). Weiss's is "Tyr" the God of Bravery in Norse Mythology, Schar's is "Fenrir" the wolf that bit off Tyr's hand while the rest of the Norse Gods chained him.
