Since the ratio changes some aspects of the game, will the "wide" ratio drastically change the way the game is played compared to the "original" and is it comparable to SSF2HD where they offered classic and remixed versions online?
Well certain character like petra bullets get effected by playing in widescreen. ranked mataches are 4:3 only where as players matches well have option to pick what ratio you wanna use

It's all in the spacing. Combo starters and certain special moves that rely on horizontal spacing are affected drastically, and you lose quite a bit of vertical space as well with the change to widescreen, which will affect timing for homing and homing cancels.

By all means, feel free to play widescreen for casuals, but bear in mind that because the arcade format is 4:3 (along with all of the combos found in that format) and because online ranked matches will also be in 4:3, this will probably be the format that most tournaments will adopt. It's just less hassle in the future, especially if bigger events get to invite Japanese players (who are predominantly arcade players).

The online matching uses pretty much the same setup as CS, and that's only if you're doing custom matching, so it shouldn't take you too long to figure out, and besides I'm sure someone will have a mini-translation guide, just like when JPN CS was available.

*sigh* yeah playing/including 16:9 is/was stupid, no ones going to be willing to play it and it doesn't mean jack shit in the competitive circles so don't even bother with it because no one wants to relearn the game... (keep in mind that a 16:9 AH game was a dream for me...it used to be anyways)

Bear in mind that casuals (people purely buying the game for the animu looks who won't be interested in more competitive play) will be looking to purchase this game, and for them a 16:9 mode is very modern (plus if they find the sidebars annoying, 16:9 gets rid of them XD) compared to the rather old-school 4:3 ratio. As the website puts it, the widescreen mode is for consumer use, not for the real arcade experience.

Of course, if they ever enter Ranked Matches online randomly, they'll be in for a shocker with 4:3 and sidebars... :D

2 Never came to US, also ZEN United has picked up the rights for a EU releases haven't they? I'm sure Aksys is thinking it over and just holding out to make sure not to coincide with their other releases, especially with the holidays only just now passing

I've heard rumors, but nothing official. Doesn't mean it's not true, just means I haven't heard it.

If Aksys picks it up, they're probably already working on it.

ZenUnited to my knowledge only posted a sort of poll seeing how many members of facebook or SRK want them to localize AH3 ... nothing confirmed but its highly likely they will since they were the ones with the thought of bringing it over

Aksys already knows Arcana Heart 3 is on high demand from their forums and its probably already in their plans (if they released something like Record of Agarest War ... REALLY NAUGHTY EDITION, im sure AH3 can make it). They are working on Record of Agarest Zero's localization right now so they probably want to finish that up first before taking on another game

There's no wrong or right way to play a character! >:3 (especially since there's so many options when selecting every individual character.)

Kamui has a charge move, her Habaki is 4Charge6+Attack, and its good for pressure since its plus on block(last I heard anyway), so yeah. Pressure.

What are you talking about? Just super...EVERYTHING!

Somebody jumps? Super.

Somebody activates? Super.

Opponent is half way across the screen? SUPER!

It's the only road needed for victory if you play Saki, don't even waste meter on all that other stuff.

uh, why do people have the assumption that charge characters can't be rushdown. Must have never played super turbo :V.

Also it's better to do flashkick and then confirm into super or homing cancel :V

Its not that we're saying Saki can't...I'm just saying that I play charge characters extremely defensive sometimes,other than that I'm very rushdown with Saki, Bhanri's clash guard makes it very easy for me to get in that ass and RTSD.

I agree. For those who don't know, Saki (Who's been in Arcana Heart 1, 2 and 3) is very rushdown. (Saki is a hold character as well). She moves quite smoothly as well.

maybe because its not common to find rushdown characters that are at the same time are charge characters, of course this only true if you come from sf and/or other more old school fighting games

I liked Saki best in Arcana Heart 1 where you could BC super and then homing cancel into more supers all the way past the top of the screen.

Gonna be repping that Saki so good now!! Had her down since AH1, and I dubbed mine the "Sakineto" for the way I like to play her like Magneto. Triangle homing dash to lows FTW.

And I agree, Flash Kick Super/Liath Fail is all you need to win.

Saki/Petra/Weiss here.
