ALRIGHT, we finally got some vids.

(if you don't have a nico account and can't make one, use this to view these videos)

shadow vs kaqn:

see a lot of nice things here. 6A moving forward seems to make it a better pressure tool than it was in CT and the new j.C seems to be even more useful (!) than the old one (which we still have). the fast 5C and 6C really show their strength here, and i noticed that back throw now wallbounces (combo potential here? 6C shippu maybe?). only move that's under-represented in this match is 4C, which he seems to only use when he remembers he has it.

ragna vs hakumen @ 4:50:

nothing particularly interesting here, other than hakumen's damage output.

That is the 12th color. Instead of the monochrome color they get heavy shading done. Also, hakumen sounds a looooooooot like lelouch....x_x btw is this a posting thread or a discussion thread, and then you can just edit the first post?

I must say, I already MUCH prefer this version of Haku. I'd always wondered why they never made him make full use of his sword's range in CT... looks like that's been remedied. Perhaps 6a's and 6b's nerf won't be too much to worry about.

6B is still looking extremely useless. It looks like nothing combos after it so it seems like there's no much of a point, except for gatling it after 6A on block for guard crush.

I think it IS fukujun. I kind of miss Kakihara's voice, though, since fukujun's doing that weird creepy laugh he has for Hakumen :V

HOOOOO!?

and I didn't know they augmented Mugen?

Stagger recovery doesn't have invincibility. It has auto block, but since full charge shippu goes through block. The best thing to do in that situation is to just keel over and eat the combo hit. However, getting nailed by 6C in the new game would occasionally put people in a panic due to its firepower/combo ability. In those cases it's not a bad idea to try to throw that gimmick out once in awhile. Perhaps even more against specific match ups, ie people that have no range.

Reposting these from the BlazBlue general video thread just for consolidation's sake.

Is there any vids of 0? He and I think his name is "suzumu/e" are the top haku's in japan no? I haven't seen any vids of them only I believe his name is tenchi =/...

check out jourdal on Youtube, he's been re-uploading vids from Nico and there're some matches of Gozaru's and A-92's Hakumens.

I've never seen vids of them until cs, in ct there's only three hakus i know. 0, suzume (probably mispelt it), and this one guy who plays on ps3 and posts his vids on nico im pretty sure he only plays with minimum gold connection because hes wicked at IB'ing stuff. I've learned a lot of meterless combos with him. Gozarus is solid though from what i remember, A-92 seems slightly impatient. Not trying to sound like an expert but with the way hakumen is with a carl match-up why should you charge in and attack instead wait for carl ti try and get in and punish him while doing damage to nirvana. But that's just my input though:v:

Gozaru can't play close range game at all, and A-92 is the most solid Hakumen out of everyone. He knows exactly what he is looking for, and when he gets it, he executes. He also doesn't take any risk (He should occasionally, imo), so he will almost never beat himself. His opponents have to outplay him to win.

I made one mistake, apologies. Gozaru is yellow hakumen IIRC. His problem is he jumps way too much. Extremely one dimensional zoning game. I think the one I was commenting on was Huirum, the green hakumen, and his close range game is terrible. I mistakened him for Gozaru. red hakumen is tenchi, fairly solid, but has some hit confirming/situational assessment issues. Many times he doesn't choose the best set-up/combo/approach, but he wins because his defense is decent. A-92 is the regular color hakumen. Besides things I have already mentioned, his favorite move is kishuu, by far, and he is damn good at using it. Very good reference.
