qwerty Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 ALRIGHT, we finally got some vids. (if you don't have a nico account and can't make one, use this to view these videos) shadow vs kaqn: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8870665 see a lot of nice things here. 6A moving forward seems to make it a better pressure tool than it was in CT and the new j.C seems to be even more useful (!) than the old one (which we still have). the fast 5C and 6C really show their strength here, and i noticed that back throw now wallbounces (combo potential here? 6C shippu maybe?). only move that's under-represented in this match is 4C, which he seems to only use when he remembers he has it. ragna vs hakumen @ 4:50: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8869059 nothing particularly interesting here, other than hakumen's damage output.
Re4L14124c Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 no hakumen's in the tourney videos -.- lame
Brotrr Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Here's one I took off of the general video thread: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8868006 Hakumen's at around 3:20. From that video, is it just me, or did Haku get some INTENSE shading done on his sprite? His voice is a lot more intimidating too, if you can call it that.
MisoSowee Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 That is the 12th color. Instead of the monochrome color they get heavy shading done. Also, hakumen sounds a looooooooot like lelouch....x_x btw is this a posting thread or a discussion thread, and then you can just edit the first post?
Sophisticat Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I must say, I already MUCH prefer this version of Haku. I'd always wondered why they never made him make full use of his sword's range in CT... looks like that's been remedied. Perhaps 6a's and 6b's nerf won't be too much to worry about.
MadRhetoric Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 6B is still looking extremely useless. It looks like nothing combos after it so it seems like there's no much of a point, except for gatling it after 6A on block for guard crush.
Brotrr Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 shadow vs kaqn: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8870665 Near the beginning (around the minute mark), Kaqn does a fully charged 6C. Now is it just the video that freezes or does Hakumen freeze for a split second when he does that?
NoelRin Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Here's some youtube links for BB:CS play. Mugen seems really mean.
NoelRin Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Wow. Mugen seems really mean. It seems more useful now due to the changes. Can't say for sure though.
Re4L14124c Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Also, hakumen sounds a looooooooot like lelouch....x_x I think it IS fukujun. I kind of miss Kakihara's voice, though, since fukujun's doing that weird creepy laugh he has for Hakumen :V HOOOOO!? and I didn't know they augmented Mugen?
ryokoalways Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 mugen is the same. But they made changes everywhere else that indirectly benefit mugen.
Brotrr Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGtgtb1TXdA Doesn't really show anything new, but just throwing this out there because the final round is as intense as it gets.
MadRhetoric Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOnJN6lqmm0 Haku-men vs. Tager from the same profile as the video Brotrr posted. Is this the Haku-men that won the tournament?
MisoSowee Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUEH93Z2VQg noo haku </3
rtl42 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 CS Basic Combos tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWkL3RKbq3A Each combo is repeated twice, btw. edit: can anyone tell me what's the point of the non-combo at 2:43 -- just to show the damage of a charged Shippuu?
ryokoalways Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 That's stagger into full charge unblockable shippu. That will be a legit gimmick I think.
ryokoalways Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Stagger recovery doesn't have invincibility. It has auto block, but since full charge shippu goes through block. The best thing to do in that situation is to just keel over and eat the combo hit. However, getting nailed by 6C in the new game would occasionally put people in a panic due to its firepower/combo ability. In those cases it's not a bad idea to try to throw that gimmick out once in awhile. Perhaps even more against specific match ups, ie people that have no range.
MadRhetoric Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Reposting these from the BlazBlue general video thread just for consolidation's sake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbdYnl5sHJ0 Haku-men vs Ragna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWGqePGWYWc Haku-men vs Arakune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O3jgBYQk3w Haku-men vs Litchi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcqiIfFkWmY Bang vs Haku-men kaqn vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=283Q7fE0SoU Haku-men (kaqn) vs Hazama (Dennou) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZigU2-MPPI Haku-men (kaqn) vs. Noel (R-1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms_ajjm4y3U Haku-men (kaqn) vs Jin (Dennou) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUPM127lxxI Haku-men (kaqn) vs Ragna (Gussan) I don't think any of these have been posted here yet, if they have sorry.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Is there any vids of 0? He and I think his name is "suzumu/e" are the top haku's in japan no? I haven't seen any vids of them only I believe his name is tenchi =/...
rtl42 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 check out jourdal on Youtube, he's been re-uploading vids from Nico and there're some matches of Gozaru's and A-92's Hakumens.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I've never seen vids of them until cs, in ct there's only three hakus i know. 0, suzume (probably mispelt it), and this one guy who plays on ps3 and posts his vids on nico im pretty sure he only plays with minimum gold connection because hes wicked at IB'ing stuff. I've learned a lot of meterless combos with him. Gozarus is solid though from what i remember, A-92 seems slightly impatient. Not trying to sound like an expert but with the way hakumen is with a carl match-up why should you charge in and attack instead wait for carl ti try and get in and punish him while doing damage to nirvana. But that's just my input though:v:
ryokoalways Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Gozaru can't play close range game at all, and A-92 is the most solid Hakumen out of everyone. He knows exactly what he is looking for, and when he gets it, he executes. He also doesn't take any risk (He should occasionally, imo), so he will almost never beat himself. His opponents have to outplay him to win.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Gozaru is the black haku with red/orange hair no? And A-92 is original color haku no?
ryokoalways Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 I made one mistake, apologies. Gozaru is yellow hakumen IIRC. His problem is he jumps way too much. Extremely one dimensional zoning game. I think the one I was commenting on was Huirum, the green hakumen, and his close range game is terrible. I mistakened him for Gozaru. red hakumen is tenchi, fairly solid, but has some hit confirming/situational assessment issues. Many times he doesn't choose the best set-up/combo/approach, but he wins because his defense is decent. A-92 is the regular color hakumen. Besides things I have already mentioned, his favorite move is kishuu, by far, and he is damn good at using it. Very good reference.
