xlolxlolx Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 ^What you translated is correct but it points out that dc is a special dash, it has a fixed distance and more precisely you cannot perform any moves while you are doing a dash cancel. J2Cからも可:Also works from J2C, this is mainly for IAD J2C>JC>JD. 不可:Cannot/Does not work, so 2A>3C and JB>JD does not work.
Leonil_Requiem Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 understood, but in CT 2B > 5B gatling and see his 5B > 2B gatling in this game made made me think he had a sudo combo of 2B > 5B > 2B > 5B > 5C but unfortunately her doesn't
xlolxlolx Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 2B<>5B would be unbelievably broken, Jin would almost become more broken than Bang if that worked.
Linear04 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Nah, proration would stop it from being too good, but it'd be a useful tool to have
Roldy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Would it be wise to start a corner loop after a forward throw into the corner? I'm pretty sure a back throw has better proration than a forward throw, but I'm not sure what to follow up a forward throw with.
Yuushiro Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 no, it has very bad proration and they would able to tech out easily. back throw is still possible but dont waste your meter for forward throw except you can get the kill and if you have 50% meter anyway it's better just to do combo and end it with ice arrow for max damage
xlolxlolx Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Depending on distance from corner doing throw 2 hit>b dp>6c>etc would be best for damage, 6c also moves you forward a bit so connecting it shouldn't be difficult, only thing that might mess you up is the push back you get from doing a b dp.
TCSyd Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 j236D doesn't seem to have the same crossup capabilities it had in CT, or is it just me? I set the dummy to block in one direction, and do IAD j236D (as I do it in CT) with different timings, but it doesn't seem to work on anyone except Hakumen and Tager. In order to actually force them to block the other direction, I have to wait until Jin turns around mid-flight.

TCSyd Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 No, I mean i record the dummy to block in one direction (I.E. hold 1/3).
Roldy Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 TCSyd, if you want real results, you have to try it on a human. Stuff like crossups only apply to humans. I know what you're trying to do, but trust me, it's just better to fight a real opponent and see for yourself. As long as you have the actual crossup ready to use, in training mode it doesn't matter whether the dummy blocks it or not.
TCSyd Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Crossups work because you actually have to block in different directions. There's no crossup going on here anymore. Sure, it looks like a crossup, but then it's just a gimmick (which is pretty much my point). You can crossup if you wait long enough on Tager and Hakumen, but it will then whiff on everyone else. If you wait even longer (to the point where Jin actually turns around), you can crossup, but that's fairly obvious. Whether it's still a good tool is debatable, but it doesn't work how it does in CT, and people should know this. If I'm somehow mistaken in all of this, I deeply apologize and would like for someone to set me straight.

If mean IAD 236D then it is and always had been a pseudo-cross up since really you just got to continue to block the same way, now if you mean air backdash at head level with your opponent then 236D then that's the real cross up version since Jin can switch to either side and goes thru a lot faster then the norm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q42X0ei9_n8#t=2m09s This is similar.
TCSyd Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Ohhh hmm, ok. I misunderstood how it worked in CT then, thanks for clearing that up.
Nov Ganon Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 u guys got any tips for landing a 632 c CH into 5b the timing is killllllliiiiin me lol
OmniSScythe Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 My relying on sound trick from CT still works, just wait for Jin to sheath his sword(you'll hear it) and then move.
koun Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 My relying on sound trick from CT still works, just wait for Jin to sheath his sword(you'll hear it) and then move. This works really good ty and look at how far they fall down after getting hit.imo
smooshman Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 u guys got any tips for landing a 632 c CH into 5b the timing is killllllliiiiin me lol same..... I think the demonstration is cheating..... ;_; My relying on sound trick from CT still works, just wait for Jin to sheath his sword(you'll hear it) and then move. tried.... and still failed...
shtkn Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 it normally listen for the sword clicking sound as well though i still haven't gotten it consistently yet. I also use sound to help time attacks after a sekkajin (after the 8th slash).
xlolxlolx Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The timing required for it makes it a rather redundant combo with the shitty proration.
koun Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Yea the best i get off it is 2k with out ex and with ex you can't get 6C,214C or i am failing hard. After 5B,5C you jump wait do a deep falling J.D and if blocked you can go into J.236a/b/c then you still have time to do 236D after give if give chase. For back throw i found out you can do 214A(miss),5C,6C,dash cancel,5C,SJ.2C,J.2C,214D,6C,214C(3301)
Nov Ganon Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 still cant get it did the rest of the challenges lol more practice i guess *sighs
