Yeah, Demon Inuyasha's damage output is pretty bullshit. If I hit with a 6S when you're jumping midscreen, I combo into super for 50% and wallslam. If I get a 6S and I hit with the end of it anywhere on the screen, I combo into super for 50% and wallslam. If I get either 5S in the corner and you're doing anything, I combo into 5L 5S 5L Super for 70-80% and wallslam, but you can hit me afterwards. If I connect with 6S in the corner and you're jumping, same deal. 70-80% and wallslam. It's so much fun. Also, my grab combos into 70-80% in the corner. :P

To everyone who isn't Cheese, Tales, Jian, Cecil, and Anderson, what the hell were you doing that's so important? Jesus, it was more deserted than poverty night during AB. Because of you all, I was forced to learn Inuyasha.

My reason is listed on the previous page. Also to add more excuses, I don't have a car. You weren't forced to learn Inuyasha. You were peer pressured.

Why-Disciple, you know you enjoyed playing. :/ Sesshomaru's corner game is just about as good as D.Inuyasha's, too, barring super. Besides, your super is actually respectable, even if it is punishable on hit by Super Saiyan Demon Inuyasha Attack of Fiery Goodness. >_> Not like you were playing Sango or Kagura.

I had kidnapped the East Coast renowned Mindgam3 and forced him to pet a dog while watching anime and playing super! It's all part of an evil plan to...accomplish....something.

Um. *cough* I was dog sitting and made Jeremy come with me. So that's my bad. I know he'll be busy next week as well, but I'm gonna try and make it up to the ranbat. Though I've never gone to something without him, It'll be weird.

So Tales and Cheese how was hanging with Butters? Did he prove that Chrono Trigger has no story?

No but apparently I never played Blazblue competitively.

He's won tournaments, ya know? And Abel isn't that good.

You'd do best to take his advice, he's one of the best players on the North Coast.

Dear Dustloop crew,

I've been spreading my life way too thin as of late, doing too many things at once. There should be an update on Serious Casuals some time at the beginning of August, if not, sooner. I will be down this Friday to work on my POtater shenangians, since being the Guy is a lot of work. I have a couple of tricks I want to try on Blue as well, so you best get your Danny Glover ass down there! Tom, best be down for Duchess as well.

Tales, you've gotten better, but you're still free. /end argument.

Reeces Pieces,

Find a way, Mugen! Someone give that fellow a ride.

Good shit. I want to show you some Potemkin matches from SBO that I watched the other day. I'll see you at BG!

Some of those top players just make the characters seem to be able to do crap that they shouldn't do. :/ How the hell does Limekey get Anji to be that dangerous?

In a game such as GG, it's more so the player than the character that makes anyone good at the game. Since all of the characters are so versatile, anyone can make their main character play to their strengths.

On a completely unrelated note, I have an idea for an event (it's not really a tournament) on Poverty Night. Myself, Cheese, and BlueNine have consistently been in the top 3 for GG at every ranbat up until this point. Since I just bought a multi-tap for the sole purpose of playing Isuka, why don't we give the chance for all those excluding the aforementioned to do a 3 vs. 1? The entry fee can be $1.50 (Reasoning: Total pot will be $6, if the 3 man team wins they will split the pot three ways to allot $2 for each member), and it will be winner take all. Thoughts?

Also, there is a Ranbat this week! I know you all don't have anything better to do, especially Tales.

Ok FINALLY fixed my computer [My Kernel failed, had to Reinstall Windows], sorry for my absence. Anyway this is Ranbat week so I wanted to remind everyone of that. $5 for MB and GG, $10 for SSF4/SSFFail.

Also, Tales and Cheese wanted to know if anyone was interested in a small Inuyasha tournament on the side, I don't mind holding one, but you guys can decide.

Mindgam3, 2v2 would be better. If it's a 3v1, the player who is 1 has a MASSIVE health and damage increase. It's either the 3 man permastuns you so you're screwed and get infinited, or you get a hit first, leading to a combo that's basically an instant kill. Then it's 2v1 and you do it again and then it's 1v1, but the person who started as 1 has about 3x the health. 2v2 is more balanced.... xD

You'll see me for ranbats. As for Inuyasha, I don't care if it happens but I won't play.

Alright, 2 vs. 2 it is. I didn't know about the massive damage/health increase...we might as well just run a free team tournament in that case, since a 2 vs. 2 completely defeats my original intent of vengeance and victory while playing the silliest of games. It'd be fun to run a Robo-Ky Mk. II tournament, but then everyone would have to own the game and actually play it to get a unique move set (thusly making it worthwhile).

I have a mission:

Someone get this game and play it on an emulator: This is the DEFINITION of poverty games (You can thank my brother for showing it to me)

I'm working Friday, so it's same deal as last time- I'll probably be there late, like 10-11. Def count me in for Isuka though. I'll bring a pad, considering switching directions is awkward without a shoulder button.

Posted
xD Switching directions is odd period.

Less awkward than the game arbitrarily deciding which way you're facing (see MB:AC PC 4player mode ... it's stupid silly).

And oh fuck why are we talking about Isuka? This could get ugly.

For the record, a couple facts about Isuka:

- if you're getting hit/combo'd by multiple enemies your burst gauge says "fuck this shit" and fills up incredibly fast (I think you fill up in maybe 5-6 hits :vbang:)

- if I remember correctly, faultness defense nullifies high/low mixups (probably to prevent stupid easy high/low unblockables being thrown around all day).

- top tier isuka :PO:: face away from opponent, backdash (towards them), turn around potbuster. rinse and repeat until victory.

- :AB: is broken as fuck, but who cares?

- even still, shit is fun. I'll probably sign up.

Also, just for the record:

Regarding the Inuyasha tournament idea, it was Tales pushing it forward. I just didn't disagree, and will be bringing the game (since it's fun). We were also talking about throwing some extra $ in if we have a tournament, as incentive for people to try it out (my thought would actually be a consolation prize amount for whoever places highest excluding me and Tales, but m'eh).
