mAc Chaos Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 If you have 720 and they go for Jayoku, I'm pretty sure you don't even need to block it, you can just 720 them out of it during the superflash and then they won't be able to RC.
bigphil6561 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 If you have 720 and they go for Jayoku, I'm pretty sure you don't even need to block it, you can just 720 them out of it during the superflash and then they won't be able to RC. true, but im bad at it. usually we both whiff and hes always hit me out of recovery. plus, i like to save tension for later if i can to 720 him out of something else, like a d/d approach. if he does rapid and jumps, i usually get a decent ac combo, which works for me. i should work on that though.

Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 ok guys I need serious help. every time I go online I have to deal with this guy and I don't know how to lock him down or what I should do on his approach. and every time I IB to punish he gets around my 360/720 attempts. so I ask what do I do in this match?
natearistata Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 You can 2A their chain approach on any kind of block. Mike Z said IB chain = free air throw, but I haven't tried that out yet. Locking him down is damn hard though. All he needs is a quick chain upwards and then a horizontal chain and he's on the other side of the screen in a second. Plus if he has meter, you have to be careful of that Jiyako. So you try to bait it out and he doesn't do it, he's out of there. You try to keep him stuck down, and you're getting Jiyako'd. Don't even get me started on the Hazama's that actually use his command grab. =(

At one point in the match he got close I did 360A and he did the command grab and beat it then I tried to 360A again and he did the command grab again and of course his won and again we both do our command grabs and his wins! its stupid...but yea in this match up I pretty much get destroyed every time. I tried to IB 2A his chain once as he was pulling in his J.B went over my 2A and then he got a combo. So how do we beat his command grab? It usually happens to me when I'm low on life. He pulls himself in then he'll do the command grab and go into a combo or something. cause right now this is one of the select matches that makes me edit: I've had that command grab beat my 720 aswell Edited October 28, 2010 by Ravage C
Leo7 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 if you see a command grab coming, dodge it either via backdash or jump and punish the throw whiff. treat it like you're fighting tager. it IS possible to stuff his command grab with your command grab (delayed 360a or early 720) but I wouldn't try stuffing out right with your own command grab due to the margin of error involved.
