seyu Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Actually she'll be worse online because people WON'T be blocking. They'll be mashing. And Tsubaki's normals lose to mash. Her DPs will also trade a lot with random normals . And she's actually not really a solid character haha. But you guys will find this out when you play vs real players . edit: dammit what happened here while i was writing? still: beginner guide please^^
pktazn Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Link tells me it does not exist! I feel like I'm being teased *looks at title under Ginseng's name* Oh Edit: Is this a new version of the beginner's guide?
Ginseng Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 Oh I deleted it within 2 hours . PM me if you want to see it hahaha.
seyu Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Oh I deleted it within 2 hours . PM me if you want to see it hahaha. Where are we? in guantanamo? torture:vbang: well PMed...
lxMetalSonicxl Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks for the guide. Very informative. I'll try to do this mess on release. I suggest EVERYONE pm him as well. I feel better with Tsu already lol.
CakeWasBannedd Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I saw it before it was taken down, I feel so cool
Slayer Alucard Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 That was the most informative guide I've ever read.
Overheat Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Can I see it as well? I'm planning on subbing her for CS Thanks to whoever sends it Thanks to Ginseng for the guide! It was really helpful!
CakeWasBannedd Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 God damn Tsubaki is bad. Edit so this post has some sort of use: If I were to get a video of me playing Tsubaki, where would I post it for other Tsubaki players to critique me?
Ginseng Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 Mmm, I would host a critique thread, but to be honest, there really isn't much use of it at the moment, just do it in general discussion. Which leads to another point, don't be afraid to make new threads or shout out ideas, as long they're not utterly retarded like...say BB General or gamefaqs :X.
STenSatsu Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 What should I be doing with charge canceling? I normally just do 5BB 2BB cc 66 B+C, but that's getting old fast. My friend really likes to air-dash away from me whenever I charge cancel, and the only way I've found of punishing it is via air-throw, which is horrible for Tsubaki. Any help? Not sure if it is fast enough, but you could try doing 2c after the CC to catch his jump. Or do a low hitting move where you'd normally CC in order to catch him getting ready to jump.
STenSatsu Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Didn't see it in the beginner guide, but anyone have a list for which of her normals/specials need to be Barriered in the air? Could be useful for tech traps.
Ginseng Posted June 12, 2010 Author Posted June 12, 2010 3CC, 6C, 2C, 214x series, maybe 2CC, probably DP Not really useful btw, because they are all really unsafe on the most part lol. And you need to be able to combo on hit-confirmation lol.
HIGEKING42 Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 dam so many problems for one character it sounds like it will be fun
RenKazama Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 How much health does Tsubaki have? Surely if she doesnt have good damage she must have alot of health?
pktazn Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 She has average health I believe.... 11k, same as Noel.
Ginseng Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 I can't wait to see the rage and complaints on Tsubaki when console version comes out BTW.
blueyesdevil Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I'm actually pretty glad tsubaki isn't that popular. It makes my main that much more exclusive and fun to play. Also when I'm going to play other people on the console version people won't complain like : 'omfg another litchi/bang' but with 'hey look a tsubaki player'. Ok, I admit her moves aren't that great but she has some good set ups and I just enjoy playing her. Even if I will have to work for my wins, they will be so much more satisfying and I will have alot of fun in the process. Tsubaki FTW!
pktazn Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 ^ Thiiiiiis x 1000. Also, not to be mean and I know this isn't what you meant when you typed it, but why would you care about what others think about you playing a certain character? If you like them and have fun with their gameplay style then play them! Don't let haters stop you from playing a character you like. I can't wait to see the rage and complaints on Tsubaki when console version comes out BTW. I know right? I've already mentally prepared myself
RenKazama Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I think Hazama has more hype then tsubaki. And i cant see where the complaints are gonna come from? She does no damage. :l
