lol wut. I guess. I don't really pay attention when I play Slayer...I sorta just...do things. Also, Tsujigawa trademarks is always using his meter for supers. He loves DHD. I actually see Supike use more dandy tricks than Tsujigawa does. And of course, Hase always goes for the fatty, lengthier combos. I don't go out of my way to watch a lot of Slayer vids anymore though, cause it's really a lot of bullshit :/ I feel bad for R.F. cause every week he tries so hard and plays perfectly, but then just gets random CH'd into oblivion by Slayers. :vbang:

Oh my god if you've seen the matches I've seen. The CH's were literally out of fucking nowhere, and R.F dominated for 30 seconds and lost in 5. And don't give me the haterade lecture, I used to play Slayer. Also, you, as a Slayer player, shall give me none of that. You know how ridiculous he gets.

Slayer is a ridicolous character accept it peeps. That's what makes me find him so awesome. Defining moment that made me pick Slayer seriously was Togeki 07 BLEED (JO) vs NIGA (SL). Bleed was dominating that round, Niga low on health, Niga managed to score cs.fs DOT RC into absolutely ridicolous damage. And let's not talk about DOT on CH...

I play Slayer and Venom so I know both end of the effort spectrum. Slayer does some insane damage, but if you look at the way his character was designed from back in XX... it's what he was always meant to do. XX and #R Slayer were just WTF retarded, and Slash Slayer was a step in the right direction; but without his damage what does he really have going for him? A lack of projectile, sub par movement options, and the ability to get zoned easily in neutral situations? He's got some retarded shit going for him, there is no doubt of that... but if you took away the ability to capitalize on confirmed pokes or his oki he would be shit. It's how he was designed from day one though; to be the damage king and punish for being repetitive or careless (or just get fucking lucky as hell with the most random bullshit). He's the comeback king, BABY!!!!

lol "subpar movement." BDC 1F jump and Dandy fakeouts are part of movement, too ;o (and it's not like Potemkin has ever had a projectile or particularly good movement). Take AC Slayer and make him do average (AC) damage and... he's still really good. Not as good, of course, but his normals are stupid good and while he sometimes gets zoned out, he zones people out pretty well himself. If you look at Slash, they lowered his easy damage and... he was still good. Slayer isn't supposed to be the "run up into your face and mash mixup" character; he excels at counter-hit fishing, frame traps, tech traps, whiff punishing, etc. He's never even really been the "most damaging" character in most GGXX iterations (till AC); he just had easy damage that looked more painful than it actually was (and did a lot of stun, too, which has to count for something I guess). If you look at the changes from XX -> #R and #R -> Slash, there's a trend towards making him do less damage but giving him trickier ways to land that damage. He's a character who has (until AC) had not-so-inspiring air combos and like 2 hit (repeat with RC) combos for his "big damage." So it's pretty clear he was NOT "meant to do" that much damage, as they were actively trying to make him NOT do that much damage (till AC). There's really no arguing that Slayer "needs" his AC damage, because nobody "needs" 100% combos off 7+0F supers or 80% off standing kick or 60% damage no meter backdash punishes whatever. Slayer is a retarded character, but AC is a retarded game so whatever.

No joke. Maybe I came off the wrong way. I wasn't trying to complain so much as I was just trying to make a statement. I love Slayer for the same reason you guys do - badass character, practical (and insanely good) normals, ridiculous damage, and the ability to win without actually having to break a sweat. I just don't want anyone denying the fact that he can be pretty dumb and many times has no right winning the matches that he does. But I think CrimsonDisaster nailed it on the head: Tougeki '08 was proof lawl :psyduck:

honestly, almost everyone needs their damage toned down a little. i know i've owned venom for a whole round, then got stuck in one pressure string into over head and lost 80% life. "AC is a retarded game." no way to argue against this. i can hear purrin saying "i told you so!" from here :(

Just imo. Crosswise less, block more, when you grab people put them towards the corner not away, combos not bad but dropped a few too many. Overall not bad.

yeah:sweatdrop: Crosswises were me missing the timing for my dandy FRCs. Grabbing out of the corner happens bcuz i'm holding back while pressing HS so I wont whiff a 6HS if they backdash the throw attempt. Droppin combos, old controller dyin on me(which is why i'm in the process of switchin to stick). Not bad overall, thanx for the feedback:china:

Switch to stick bud asap, there's something about it that made my timings far better with Slayer's just links, as well as FRC timings, so you'll never miss a dandy frc again!

Tight combos in the vid, and how good you are with grabs I think you should invest in bite loops.

go for forward option select throw with slash in that situation instead of back HS.

Anji - IB butterfly -> forward dash. Bite eats fujin, 6K and most other autoguards. first move anji f.S you get a free CH j.H if you can do it fast enough. airdash H or K then 5H for combo.. you can get meaty sweep for fujin bait to nab that nasty CH and follow with c.S j.S j.K 5H loop or relaunch superjump install whatever combo of choice. His 5P is good. 2S is not really reliable as an anti air cause of the recovery and anji j.D delay.. and dashing under him when he jumps at you and 5Ping is usually your safest anti-air and 5P leads to fuckloads of dmg on him. j.P and j.K are also good if you can catch him. Eddie - IB first hit of Mawaru, backdash. 2H kills little eddie from forever away. hell, it beats slide head full screen for DOT frc... if you can, just stay in the air and IB nabiru all day and FD accordingly. You can do like 5 reps of j.S loop on him... If you can, just throw your burliest shit at him for oki to crank his guard gauge and sometimes don't even worry about mixup and just crank the bar and let him run into some frame traps or mess up with FD and eat a 6H.. your moves are wayy better than his and your abare on him is amazing.. I'm for real when I say Eddie only takes two or three combos...
