Ahh that's cool then.

So I wouldn't need to confirm height.

So do you mean that on other characters, it's possible to get an airthrow setup off of 5C?

IE: 5C > IADbarrier > j.D > 5D > j.A > j.C > j.D?

no, it's one of those bnb's that never happen

why not try this

fc 5c > j5d > 5b [jc] ja > jc > j2a > j2b > 5d [sjc] ja > jc > jd

works for me but its probably another one of those combos that will never happen

And it doesn't work on all, only on people who J2A dive cancel is possible.

and if J2A cancel work i think it's better to directly go into J5A J5C J2A etc...

This ragna is doing shoryu everywhere during curse damn.

Wasn't your day i guess, you dropped combos and pressing =/

I literally don't play this game outside of weekly casuals and biweekly ranbats.

I just need to hop on training mode more.

One thing I noticed is that you really shouldn't rush in until you actually have them locked down with bugs for sure. That Ragna was pretty bad so some of his choices was kinda crazy so getting hit by those shoryus was expected lol.

Step that game up son! <3

You think that's bad?

I recently went to my first IRL tournament. I had nerves. But I did really well in the group stages and ended up beating a really good Mu in the Final 8. Then we went to the big TV for the Semi-Finals. My first time playing in front of a crowd.

I did so badly, I;

Didn't IAD once.

Didn't do the Dive Loop Correctly.

Spammed Bell Bugs even though I knew not too.

Did 2Ax3 and then 2C ON BLOCK CONFIRM.

Messed up the end of the loop, which would of killed him.

Terrible bug placement during curse.

Messed up J.C Crossup TWICE.

The worst was the bellbug though. Everything else was nerves. But why the **** did I summon Bellbugs when I knew that was the worst thing to do? *sigh*

You love to 5D your adversary when he recover, this isn't a really good choice i think (but Fuzzyness didn't counter it at all, so why would you stop \o/).

It was your first time, you will do better next time.

Makes me feel salty though. I beat Fuzzyness in the group stages and I ended up beating the Winner of the tournament in a 7Vs7 later on. :(

Edit: Oh yeah, the Winner was BlackJaguarXD, he's a Tsubaki who apparantly fights you often?

Yeah i know him, we have already did some matchs (but we don't fight really often, just sometimes).

Actually it's more like very rarely.

It isn't. I could use 623D, or I could've even used 214214D to give myself more invincibility frames.

Wrong choice of words. Sorry. Anyway, I do 5D as a meaty to let them know that I can do it for free curse meter. Then, they keep on the look out for it and try to counter it when I do it again. Which allows me to block said 623D and punish for 100% curse meter. Sometimes, you have to spend health to get damage. :P

But yeah, Kiba trolls us too hard. He makes everyone in Britain look free. He'll astral anyone. T_T

That's not true I only astral depending on specific circumstances lol. That time, I guess it was because it was a tournament I kinda wanted more hype? I dunno.

Well, at least, you guys aren't Noel players....

Onl;y you would be more annoyed by Noel's 3C more than Ara's curse.

IT'S UNSAFE ON BLOCK! *kiba rage*

hohoho Tsubadix Tsubaki players unite! xD

also a top4 match from our xmas charity ranbats. my bro- ara vs dix-tsubadix

my bro vs dix

first time in front of crowds really bring the best in all of us

oh bout the quality >.< the place only had HDtvs and as of now we still have no equipment to recrod from HDtvs xD

In the circumstance where he was cursed, it probably would've been better for Dix to block at times rather than to attack. JD in the air while cursed was also risky.

He needs to try to play a little more patient, rather than trying to rush in when there are bugs setup.

He also dropped a few combos. Was that deliberate? I'm especially talking about the one he dropped after a confirmed hit with 236D.

Dix played WAYYY too aggressively. If the Arakune is being defensive and setting up bugs/clouds----charge. Charge. And Charge. 5 Charge Tsubaki hurts.

Anyway, on the Arakune, I thought it was good. The spacing and movement was really nice. Three things. And Kiba is going to call me a hypocrite by the way, >_>

1) Don't Purple Grab

2) Try to get the execution for doing the Bug Loops more effectively.

3) Do more IAD j.B. That Tsubaki didn't use 2C almost at all, but against ones that do, falling J.Bs get destroyed. So practise on making the aggression a bit tighter.

But yeah, you did better than me at my first tourney. So good job. :3

If i can add some things:

-2A 2A 2D isn't good if you are too close to the adversary, because only the first hit of 2D will touch and it's a counter in your face really often.

- Don't use jD if you're too high. You will get a long recovery from it, and if the adversary read it it's very bad for you (something like ==> He jump, you jD at this moment but he can airdash throw because you were too high).

And yeah, I didn't understand why you have done an airthrow after the (lucky) super, do a 5D jc jA jC jD was leading to the same result.

But it was good yeah.

edit: I just remember but i didn't post my first tourney i've do off-line, so i do it (a little old but there is):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDP933ioU34&feature=related

French commentary (yeah sorry =o)), The litchi was a CT player so he was getting a lot of issue (Well, everyone have done bad things in this tourney so xD).

And an other tourney after:

Upload in october but the tourney was in september (same as my matchs with Gemini). When i see again these matchs i wonder what i've done sometimes xD. I will go to the World Game Cup the 24 February and I hope to do better.

You're pretty good Abyss, aside from diving precurse, good shit.

The only real advice I can give is play better opponents, once they learn to block 6a, you can move to breaking that mold.

Posted (edited)

There were better opponent, but the upload for other matchs were bugged. But yeah, i admit my opponent aren't very good on the first tournament (without Chronoxir and Maho, they are twopretty good even if on this video they do some issues).

But i don't play very often off-line, so i get all of my experience on-line, it's shit yeah (IB is so random on-line >_>) but i haven't the choice. That's why i'm trying to do every tourney i can, because fight good people off-line is more better.
