Kuuhaku Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Something kinda funny, but useless. In the corner you can do 5CDC knockdown A cannon and BBL. It'll combo even though A cannon won't hit them (kinda weird). Not sure if it's character specific, but I got it to work on Rawrgna. It's probably because recovery for A cannon is much faster now.

Why useless? dont you have a extra pole for BBL planted from the whiff A cannon?
K2 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 5A IS 5F, BUT ON WHIFF IS TERRRRRRIBLE, B/C IS 2 HITS THEREFORE U GET HUGE RECOVERY, USE IT WITH CAUTION
Kuuhaku Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 For poking, 2A is usually safer. Uh... also, if you think you whiffed 5A and you see something scary coming at you... you can kara cancel it and block.
Heroic_Legacy Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Be happy. You can do damage again. Not a lot of damage like in CT, but all your combos that end in corner/oki are around 2.5/3k now. For no meter and little wind.
Jason D. Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Huh? What do you mean? Last I've heard the console version has no balance changes, and won't have any until the patch comes out about six months from now. And doing 2.5k - 3.0k damage has always been possible if you can get a 5B or 5C starter. It's just that any USEFUL starter gets you about 1.8k - 2.0k.
Soniti Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Not sure what he's talking about, I've been playing the JP PS3 version and there are no balance changes...
Heroic_Legacy Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 It sure felt like there were changes to Rachel's proration if anything. After messing around in CS before console release she felt....better in console for the reason that damage is easier to come by.
Soniti Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Seems exactly the same as arcade to me. I'm becoming more tempted to just give in and play Ragna

EvilWolf Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I heard she gets worse in the console patch? Could someone post the changes, if they're out?
Rhannmah Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I heard she gets worse in the console patch? Could someone post the changes, if they're out? I don't think that this is humanly possible.
crazycrackers Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 If we could get a test for a few frog combos, lvl.2 j.2c combos/loops, 5cc wallbounce loops, and BBL combos in general in console, that would be good. Although I really doubt any damage has changed since there was never an official statement detailing any balance changes from arcade to console before a patch whatsoever.
Soniti Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I really don't want to test the damage between the two versions but the numbers looked exactly how they would in arcade when I did combos.
Jason D. Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 So hey, I was playing English BB:CS today. And to put this to rest: Yeah, exactly the same as arcade.
sanshiki Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 6CD optimal jC whiff land cancel is +6 frames on block. :P
D1__ Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Seems exactly the same as arcade to me. I'm becoming more tempted to just give in and play Ragna Word its about time I did the same thing.
Tari Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I am ridiculously tempted to post a rickroll link in here. That said, eh... sucks to hear that there're no buffs. Guess I shouldn't have taken a break from playing CS, then.
Kuuhaku Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Mu is 2B OTG for frog combos. So she's pretty much like Lambda as far as hitboxes go.
Jason D. Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Mu is 2B OTG for frog combos. So she's pretty much like Lambda as far as hitboxes go. Oh, yeah, this. Totally right. As far as I could tell Mu seemed exactly like Lambda in terms of what works on her. You can't 3C her on the ground, she falls very close to Rachel after 5CC (so a B lobelia could miss), and she's also kind of skinny when being electrocuted.
sanshiki Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I hate Lambda for midscreen combos. With other characters I can do some iteration of 5CC 214A 3C 236A 3C iris 3C set pumpkin at least. What I do is just 5CC level 2 j.3CD dash 3C set pumpkin. What do you guys do?

What I do is just 5CC level 2 j.3CD dash 3C set pumpkin. What do you guys do? Basically after seeing MaDaO's new combo video I stopped trying to do fancy 236B IAD Air Iris combos and went back to CT frog combos for like almost every char. Speaking of Mid-screen frog combos, I tried doing the second combo in MaDao's Princess combo vid, 5B, 5CDC, 214A, 3CD, 236A x2, 3c, Sword Iris, then continue, etc, but I have a bit of trouble, cos when I tried the 3CD, the opponent techs or the frog doesn't fly far enough to electrocute them, is my timing wrong or something?
