Zeth, you are amazing. :psyduck:

I know that I, for one, wouldn't have the patience to mess around with JustinTV archives even enough to watch all of my own matches, much less record and upload someone else's.

Beautiful work.

Well the thing was, I started watching it during Tekken 6 on the 4th, through Marvel and 3S, and after that it was just too late for me to keep watching. Then I realized I missed BlazBlue entirely when I checked the website schedule. So I went onto the Archive and just skipped around kinda easily til I found BB.

Because it lets you download the clips, I just downloaded the BB section and watched it, then asked if it was cool if I uploaded them since they were Bang matches so I could put them in the Bang Video thread with everything else we have. And before I posted them there I figured I should post it here since this thread was for the actual event.

Wasn't hard really and didn't take long, so it was no problem.

Are there videos of this anywhere?

As for on their actual site, no, which was part of the reason why I asked if I could upload them. As for why it wasn't recorded, well it was streamed, and you can view the Archives.

Wooooow...This makes me feel so lazy. My Easter Sunday involved me waking up at 1230, eating lunch, finding the stream at 1pm and then watching that from the end of SFIV money matches to the start of Tekken 6, then I took a nap cause I don't like Tekken AT ALL. Woke up in the middle of the MvC2 top 8, saw the finals of that, saw all the 3S top 8 and saw all the streamed matches from Winners bracket of top 16 of SFVI. so from 1pm-1130pm, I was in bed watching the stream or sleeping...Then I fell asleep since I had class at 930am the following morning.

I have no life on holidays :toot:

I bet on who got the first hit of every SFIV top 16 match.. won 75c

I also lost 5 dollars when Combofiend beat Valle :c

I heard a lot of people were getting bets on who would get the first hit. The commentators were getting angry cause of how stupid some of the first hits were...I think one of them bet on the Furete player Kai every round he played since hes crazy with mixup mindgames...Although my favorite was ON-LINE-TO-NY!! every time he landed that air combo with Seth.

Lmfao, that was GREAT.

One time, he dropped the last hit of it intentionally, and went for a command grab reset; so when everyone was like "ON LINE TO ... ???", on the reset command grab piledriver, I yelled "NYYYYYYYY" on the way down, and like 8 other people followed me. It was hilarious.

Damn I wish I could've gone. I would've loved to see all the crazy SFIV money matches. I only caught the one between Kai and Puerto Rican Balrog/Honda. Kai is just amazing with El Fuerte it just made me want to go learn him right then and there. KAI SPECIAAAAAALLL!!!

Okay, finally back from the dead.

Thank you everyone who showed up to support the event. I was quite happy with how BlazBlue turned out as I was unsure how the arcade setup was going to affect us. I apologize for not being able to make that 2nd input box. I know deci said he worked all night on it. Hopefully it won't be a problem at the next event with console.

Mike Z - Thanks for the use of your setup Mike. Skull Girls looks awesome. 200,000 people watched the stream over the weekend. That's a lot of folk who potentially saw your game. Crossing fingers =]

render - Thank you for being such a cool guy and helping set up everything.

deci - Thanks for the drive up from SD to look into the input box. Sorry we missed the JAMMA cable. =/

Goryus - Sorry you had to tote that box down from norcal only to have the input box not work. Hope you had a good time.

Bang - Good stuff winning the tourney =D

I hope I made due on all the promises for this year. The BB community was one of my major focuses because of all the groups last year, I felt like I failed you the most. If all is good, I will be happy to throw BB on console next year.

Thanks everyone =]

God, I played like I've only played for like 1 day.
Yeah, but that day was RENDSDAY.

Also I have to say, John Rog, I think you came through juuuuust fine. I couldn't have asked for more for BB!

Yeah, I agree. BB was done very well. Good job, John!

You had that touch of "I care."

lol.

i think wcw did what they could (minus hte missing jamma cable buisness) and their intentions were well placed. Good job. BB community needs to level up their game, but i guess that's what console is for.

Snip

I thought it was a great tournament, sorry I never met you or anything. You pulled through in every way, as far as I could tell.

Given a year, there should be a lot more people to turn out.. with no console, a large amount of people are just inherently absent. Hope everything works out for another one next year!

I agree with it, x3. So that me and Zong won't have lost money for placing :yaaay:

Seriously I can't believe how few people came, considering AI usually nets 30+, even now. o: We'll just have to spread the word that WCW is kickin rad, I guess.

I can.

  • Venue too expensive for a venue that isn't Evo
  • Long drive if you don't live in SoCal
  • Total price of trip may not be worth it if you only play one game
  • Uncertainty of format or how many set ups there will be
  • WCW1 was a complete and utter disaster, leaving a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths
