Balmung92 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I highly doubt those hundreds who still play CT are tourney players and are willing to travel to Evo... Believe me I completely understand your point but I just dont think its right to cancel a tournament for a game simply because the best players dont want to play on the game, thats not fair to the minority imo. Yes i know that logic dosent make sense to many people but I honestly dont care. Im gonna be at evo this year and im sure ill have fun watching MvC but i just cant help but think id have more fun watching or even playing in the CT tournament. Finally, and im not trying to attack in any way, but to answer your question about how many of those player would be willing to come i guess well never know now. Oh also only reason i brought up the balance thing is cause i had read something that sounded like thats why people did not want to play CT Vs. CS but i guess i read that wrong lol.

What are you entering? Or are you just going to watch because BB:CT got canceled?
Kuuhaku Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Main event is soooo overrated. Remember- you'll be as hype as... Ladies SF4 OMG! As long as there's good competition it's still worth going to. There will still be side events for BBCS and BBCT. Just... I'd rather practice for a game that matters.
Balmung92 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 What are you entering? Or are you just going to watch because BB:CT got canceled? I was going to go before I heard that CT got canceled and still plan on attending. Also like I said i was still considering entering the tournament just for laughs, was planning on going to a local tournament first and seeing how I did from there. Though from the looks of things its just gonna be my and my friends starting a side tourney or just entering one of the ones that will hopefully be there.
Heroic_Legacy Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 CS side tourney, I forsee at least 200 entrants. 60 of which know what they are doing, the rest complaining this game doesn't slow down for every distortion or D move. CT side tourney, I forsee 12 people entering because they don't have arcade access/have shitty computers. Yeah.

Look im not trying to start anything so its better if we stop this here. All im intersted in is playing CT at evo, I got a little hot headed when i first heard the news but i accept that fact its not gonna be there. Also this dosent have to do with it not being at evo but what would shitty computer access have to do with people entering a CT tourney @_@.
Spirit Juice Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 No one should be surprised by their decision considering this thread was made on the 2nd. This is what happens when you're only reading the BB General and online forums.
Circuitous Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Thanks for resisting the urge to close the shit out of those boards btw, even if they completely deserve it.
SuperKawaiiDesu Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 i still think they should have sat tight for a little while longer due to the rumors of the release date for BBCS appearing, but they gotta do what they gotta do D:

The minority doesn't matter because none of them posted. It's your own fault for not making your opinion heard.
STenSatsu Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Better to have the most fucking hype side tourney ever of CS and not a top 8 Nu snorefest main tourney of CT that gets the scene taken out of any future Evos. Also, anyone who WAS coming just for CT just saved $50 on registration fees since it will probably still be a side tourney anyway.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 >>You can have a very balanced game that's very boring to watch *coughSFIVcough* You lost me Balance is good, as soon as it doesn't transform the game into some sorta shitty repetitive-fest. Suddenly I remembered MB Final Tuned, which was apparently too refined and all that, but it didn't feel fun anymore :/ Oh, well. More MAHVEL, I hope they bring that crazy narrator for the matches
