Really all I want is the game data off the hard drive. But I don't know how the PS3 encrypts that stuff. I *do* know how the XBox encrypts that stuff, so that's my preferred method.

Wellllll

someone(in austrila) managed to successfully 'jailbreak' it a few week back..

and decide to sell USBs filled with the software loaded.

Sony sue'd them, then made a update patch that basically filled that hole...

soooo

currently...

all known way has been blocked for a 'jailbreak'd' PS3 ...

LOL

though, if you updated your ps3 within the last 4 week you wont be able to jailbreak it anymore....

and as for what they were looking into.

In the end, it's just how to read a 'preloaded' game from the 'hard drive' or an USB loaded with the "backups"

since blue-ray burners and other stuffs...

interesting...ill take a look at this. now im very interested. ill let you know what i come up with if anything at all. this is...going to be fun.

That was just a profitable side-effect; in the end, it was the best way to get people excited about purchasing their heap overflow USB sticks.

A Overflowed PS3 could execute native and foreign code supplied by the end-user, so you could toss a downloaded EBOOT.PBP and it could be convinced the code was okay to run the same as code you downloaded off the PSN.

The hard drive has always been accessible to an end-user, provided they had an E-SATA/SATA capable computer. The EBOOT.PBP files are usually decompressible similar to how a .ZIP or .ISO file is.

Dear nelo13, sorry that we are so harsh towards you, But when hundred people before you keep asking the questions about where what sprite is up on the forums, it really tends to get on the nerves of people.

I really advice everyone new to the forums, to either start using Google more or at least spent a few days searching here on Dustloop. If you are bad at searching than ask your big brother/sister or even your parents for help.

Thanks for reading.

Sorry if this has come up before (I checked the past 30 or so pages and couldn't find any info on it) but the emblems seem to be cut off for some of the wider ones like Mu's and Noel's. Possible to get them in full (really, I only need Mu's one since I can't find any decent sized ones anywhere and I can't crop the CS emblem well enough to get it right).

Name the time and place.

On a sidenote, regarding the character artwork package; what are the smaller versions of the full character artwork from? Unless I just have a messed up photo viewer or something.

They're used for a bunch of scenes. VS screens, health bars, etc.

Hey, I was wondering if we could at least get the Story Mode Artwork for Torakaka, Platinum, and Phantom. I'm trying to make bios for every character in the game (I'm making a guide) and I can't find high quality Story Mode art for these characters.

If that were possible, somebody would have ripped Valkenhayn already. Use your damn brain for once, Blade.

Also, I was wondering something about the palettes: I know that the other characters aren't included with the DLC unless you actually download the file, but since Makoto came with them rather than having them attached to the DLC files, they're included with her palettes in her sprite set, right? Or am I completely wrong? Honestly I don't know shit about ripping sprites and whatnot so this is probably a stupid question.

Makoto's DLC colors are in her sprite set. Furthermore, on the CS disc, all of the DLC colors are with the characters. I just haven't finished repacking the new sprites yet - it's something I've been very, very slowly working on over the weeks, along with compiling story mode art.

Mostly I'm just lazy, but I've got copious free time now.

The more free time I have the less I spend it well. My projects will never get done until I get more organized or find a job of some sort to take me out of my boring daily life.
