dragontamer Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Litchi vs Noel is worse than Bang vs Noel. They're both terrible, but I have more trouble vs Litchis. Bang jumps slower and doesn't really have an answer to Noel's frame traps aside from blocking. Granted, a good bang can just block the whole time, but Litchi simply has more options and more range... and her back-jumping gets annoying (harder to frame trap) Maybe its my style (I focus on a lot of 5A -> Frame Trap, 5A -> tick throw, 5A -> 2A -> Frame Trap and 5A -> 2A -> Tick Throws), but Litchi beats all of those with a brain-dead 623D (and 5A -> Block lets litchi escape if she's holding back-jump). Bang has to actually play me at that game. Its even easier to play vs Bang because he doesn't have too many anti-air options: j.C -> 66 Throw / 5A / Throw Reject shinanigans lets me get in on Bang... and Noel can easily react with 2B -> 2C -> 3C -> Haida if Bang starts spamming 2D. (which loses to throw anyway) Litchi also crouches under mid-range 5B for Noel. So Noel has even fewer options vs mid-range Litchi. Anyway, 3.5 / 6.5 for Noel / Litchi, and 4.0 / 6.0 for Noel/Bang IMO. Edited November 3, 2010 by dragontamer
Spirit Juice Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Sounds like u jealous. Wolfman Gerber baby has no problem finding victims women. We have strikethrough readily available and you missed the perfect opportunity to use it. Fixed it for you.
ZONG_one Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I still don't think that Rachel vs Tager is THAT bad of a match-up for her. But then again, I can't say anything. Word on the streets is that's one of her free-est matches. Get at them street sharks.
St1ckBuG Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Most people seeing that the numbers are 100%. Good job guys. There's hope for dustloop yet.
-Ladon- Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 So since I don't want a blow up, I'd like a solid explanation on ragna vs. kune being 45/55, it feels more 6-4 kune's favor but if there's a reason I'm all ears
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Most people seeing that the numbers are 100%. Good job guys. There's hope for dustloop yet. You guys did a great job in compiling these match-ups into a, I would say, more accurate chart than the last one.
huey253 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 snip 4.0 / 6.0 for Noel/Bang IMO. thats one of the several matches that are off by .5 imo
Mumm-Ra Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) I seriously think Arakune should be higher than that, but what do I know? I'm not EC. Edited November 3, 2010 by Mumm-Ra
A.X.I.S. Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 So since I don't want a blow up, I'd like a solid explanation on ragna vs. kune being 45/55, it feels more 6-4 kune's favor but if there's a reason I'm all ears I assume because ragna doesn't have a hard time chasing him. (he seriously doesn't, especially if he's trying to set something up.) he can ID through his pressure easily precurse. (he never heard of 6A.) and ara has no reversals so ragna does not have worry about jack when he gets in. the only thing thats hard is trying to capitalize on random hits and not running into stupid. (clouds and bell bugs.) my guess, but I stopped playing ragna seriously. haku vs tager is closer to even not 6-4.
FlyingVe Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Also, consider that Ragna is almost forced to hit a cloud or two chasing Kune down. From there one screw up and it's GG. But that is arguing over .5 so, meh.
Zidane Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 We have strikethrough readily available and you missed the perfect opportunity to use it. Fixed it for you. Thanks man! So how do you use that.
Mr.Biscuits Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I seriously think Arakune should be higher than that, but what do I know? I'm not EC. Exactly, so stfu.
SansProtocol Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks man! So how do you use that. If you go to the advanced reply, it's the text icon with a line through it.
Spirit Juice Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks man! So how do you use that. If you go to the advanced reply, it's the text icon with a line through it. That, or you can just type ["s"]text here[/"s"] without the quotes. Also, yeah, the chart isn't bad at all except for Carl and Arakune being drastically underranked.
Xtra_Zero Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 IMO Rachel has a harder time against Litchi than Bang because Litchi controls so much space and Rach needs that space more than most characters. Rach vs Carl is harder for Rach than posted because lobelias are invalidated in many ways worse than vs Hakumen in addition to all the rest of the standard Rachel shortcomings + Carl's high damage and better mixup than Hakumen.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I never thought DAT ASS would be that well positioned in the rankings. Erh... probably someone already asked this, but no Valky yet?
huey253 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 totally agreed, i think whoever did bang overexaggerated on some stuff.
Alzarath Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I never thought DAT ASS would be that well positioned in the rankings. Erh... probably someone already asked this, but no Valky yet? Hasn't really been around long enough to form solid #s on matchups. I imagine most people have an idea though :o
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Yeah, IMO Valk could easily be on par with HAKUMANZ.
Beautiful Death Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Hey just had a thought. Moo isn't played in Japanland arcades, yeah? So what's the basis for her numbers on the chart? ............Were they conjured up from Dustlopp discussion? Hee hee hee.
LordSpectreX Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Arakune's position and matchups are absolutely correct.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Hey just had a thought. Moo isn't played in Japanland arcades, yeah? So what's the basis for her numbers on the chart? ............Were they conjured up from Dustlopp discussion? Hee hee hee. FYI: -This chart was done by players who play their respective characters (for the most part). [LordKnight, Dacidbro, ZONG_one, Myself/Xie/Severin, TaoFTW, Alzarath, Zidane, XAQshinor, SpiritJuice... just to name a few] -Most opinions on match-ups between 2 players were within half a point (or 5 points depnding on the scaling). -Jin wasn't represented (the player never edited the list). -All numbers on this chart are 100% correct. The reason there's no Valk is pretty damn obvious... Have fun kids. Edit: Thanks worldjem for formatting the chart. Don't listen to Spirit, he's just a crybaby. Not mad but, at least check the last ten pages in a thread before you post questions like this, thanks.
Arcade Fire87 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) What Tao players did you guys have? I'm having doubts about Lambda v Tao being 6-4, it feels even worse than that. One of the Tao's I know pretty much does 4k off of any little hit he lands, and can do retarted 7k damage from 6C and from Becoming Two, considering Lambda can't react or zone Tao and gets absolutely outclassed by her up close, the 6-4 still feels lenient. Lamba has 40+ frames of recovery on any whiffed drive attacks, and Tao is certainly fast enough to either punish that or get right in her face. I know someone's gonna say "herp derp, learn2 6A" but no player is good enough to go countering with that constantly. Tao can cancel and bait obvious shit like that. It doesn't help that 6A whiffs under crawl so you can't just go rushing in with that either. 2C is garbage. Using 5C to catch something is a 4k+ death sentence. 236C gets stuffed by pretty much all of Tao's game. Is it possible your Tao players aren't as good as your Lambda players? Why has Japan declared Litchi the top but you guys haven't? I know Dacid himself whens a lot of tourneys up in his area---but it seems a bit much to base it off JUST him I don't know, some of the list in general looks shakey to me, but I know I should expect a snarky response ending with stay free I guess what I'm wondering is---did you guys feel when making this list that it would match up with how the Japanese would rank everything as well? Just curious Edited November 3, 2010 by Arcade Fire87
Spirit Juice Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Arakune's position and matchups are absolutely correct. It doesn't when the Japanese widely consider Arakune and Carl to be A tier, but they're only B tier in this chart.
ZONG_one Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I consider them A tier. I'm Japanese. Shut up, Soniti.
