Capn' Kunimura Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 A noob question that's not GG-related (though it relates to me playing them): can you save data from japanese games to same memory card with saves from PAL region games. I think someone told me that you can't. Is this true?

I think someone told me that you can't. Is this true? untrue. you can save on a US mem card. I do it all the time
Exigent Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 two stupid questions. Should I stick to a pad or switch to a stick? I've gotten comfortable with it but I want to know how much of a performance gap they have D:. Can a good pad user beat a good stick user?
Sòlrök Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 One: Switch to stick if you please, it is considered overall better. Two: That's completely unanswerable. Depends on character, strategy and a whole shit-load more things than just the controller.
Capn' Kunimura Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 I played fighting games with a pad for like more than five years and switching to stick wasn't too smooth. I still can't play games like Guilty Gear that require fast imputs and lot of big motions with the stick. It depends a lot on how used you are to playing with pad. I know plenty of players who play with pad and are able to perform better than stick players. I'd say don't force yourself if it feels uncomfortable to play with a stick.
Tr@pzt@r Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 ^Amen :D...Also on top of that not only will your thumbs not get raped by the stick like the pad would but also youll be L33t when you can use the stick *Personal experiance*--> My Friends a Masher on the Pad and he thinks hes got skills but when we put him on stick all he could do was foward Hard punch and no other moves o ya skillz Edit: If you do decide to play on stick get a good one that dosent feel like its raping your hand
Exigent Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 I'm not really worried about having my thumbs raped since I have man hands (currently have huge calluses on my thumbs and palms from other fighting games and work.) I might just buy a hori fighting stick 2 just to get used to the feel of them and learn how to used to it. Anyhow, thanks.
VVSolVV Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 since accent core came out, ive heard people talk about #R inputs versus slash inputs. whats the difference? (probably a stupid question, but thats what this thread is for right?)
Hidden Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 First stupide question : For those which have the GGXX AC, can you play on the net ? ( with your friend I want to say, not with Japaneses because the ping should suck ^^# ) And Have you any lag in game ? ( Direct connection ) lol
